I always have a good time at an Ivy - the staff are lovely and the food dependable, the interior warm, welcoming and glamorous, and it always feels like a bit of a treat. That's why one comes back time after time...
Beautiful restaurant! Amazing service will definitely be going back for high tea next time it’s truly a special place!
Exceptional as always. We were kindly given our requested table and we’ll looked after by the staff. Excellent improvement to the chicken milanese which was already great. Thank you.
Lovely place best food best service
My mother doesn't come to London to visit me often and as part of a treat for her Christmas present I decided to bring her here to the Ivy Chelsea Garden. She was thrilled with the whole experience. The waiters were so attentive and the food was divine. Of course she never saw the bill but it was very reasonable for the service and delicious dinner we received. She was also impressed by the architecture of the building and beautiful design inside. Thanks for a memorable day.
The venue itself is lovely and the food was fine (not amazing) but the staff were unfriendly and disorganised. When I was brought a pot of tea I did not order the waiter told me several times that this was indeed what I'd asked for. They don't seem to be enjoying their jobs much. If I'm going to spend this much money on breakfast, next time I will go to a tighter ship with better morale.
Had a lovely lunch on Monday - very attentive helpful waiter at table. Always love your restaurant.
Great atmosphere, nicely decorated, feels a good/fun place to be. They took 4 people to their table before placing us/annoying. And managed to eat both our starter & the pudding, before wine by glass arrived! But we will be back
I love the ivy Chelsea, although I live near bath and regularly go there. Chelsea is a treat
I love this branch of the Ivy. Service is usually great ( but not quite as good as usual on this occasion). Food is delicious but they need to change the menu occasionally please
We had an absolutely lovely meal at the Ivy chelsea garden cannot fault it. Amazing food and service, such a positive experience that I haven’t necessarily had in other Ivys across the country.
I love The Ivy in Chelsea, but I cannot recommend the afternoon tea.
The food was disappointing in presentation and taste. I expected more for the cost and experience.
The garnishes were squashed into the sandwich rolls and the taste of all the items was very bland except the over-sweet dessert.
The clotted-cream had the consistency of hard butter and the serving of jam very small to share between 4 scones.
There were also 2 different groups of people hovering around the table loudly discussing private dining while we were seated. It was distracting and unnecessary.
The service was perfunctory and not to the same standard I had when I dropped in for lunch two days ago.
The experience was a complete let-down for a special occasion and better value can be had by having a lunch or dinner at the venue.
First time at the Ivy bit disappointed really , we were sat in the cold quiet glass room ( not in main restaurant) didn't see the same waitress twice, empty bottles and glasses left on table when food came not asked if wanted more drink, had to ask waitress to take away stuff, had to ask for more drink, very expensive, food not bad but the Burger was not as good as Byron ( this may surprise you but I can assure you it is true, I wished I had ordered something else ) May go again but not at 3.30pm on a Sunday "B" Team were on duty for sure
It was our niece's birthday and we had requested a table in the beautiful terrace. We arrived early and after a great cocktail in the bar we were taken to our table that was indeed in the terrace. Food and service were top class. Friendly and not at all hurried or pushy. We had a great time. Thank you.
Service was very slow. Food was so so. Not as good as previous experiences in The Ivy
All our food was delicious, nicely presented and enough of it. The vegetarian and vegan menu was extensive, although as I am also a Coeliac I had to ask what was gluten free as it was not shown on the menu, but there were several choices for me. The service was fine, not too slow, and friendly and helpful wuth our requests. My only slightly negative comments concern cutlery: dessert forks seem to have gone out of fashion and we weren't offered them here, but I could have done with one for my fabulous Chocolate Bombe! Likewise, I was given a dessert spoon for my soup. It didn't affect my enjoyment of the food but I thought it odd!
Just too busy. Coffee’s came after the main course was finished eventhough we asked for it twice. Good food as always but for what you pay the service / timing was just off
The staff are very friendly and attentive. The atmosphere is unbeatable. The whole experience is one I would very strongly recommend.
Very accommodating of my 93 year old father with mobility issues.
Great Food & Friendly Staff. i wont be going back. i have been there twice now and been seated in areas I wouldn't want to sit in ever again. the service was too rushed. Value for Money wasn't good.
Brilliant location as is atmosphere and decor service very very good menu choice good and the food is Brilliant you all must give it a try
Superb evening. Staff very professional and helpful.
The service was very erratic, our food, pre drinks and champagne all came at the same time, which didn’t make for a relaxing meal and spoilt the occasion.
Our table was booked for 2 hours (7.00 pm to 9.00 pm). At 8.50 pm, just when we were ordering tea and coffee we were informed we had run out of time. We were immediately presented with the bill and basically shoved out the front door onto the pavement. No effort was made to find us another table or a place at the bar so could continue the evening. What started out as a nice evening with friends was ruined. We were ripped off. The only thing the restaurant was concerned about was taking our money. I would never go back and I most certainly would warn my friends not to go. Avoid at all costs.
Good food, well priced, service is good but would have been better if a little quicker taking the order.
Very fast service, food was delicious. Great overall experience.
Been to a lot of the ivy branches and love the restaurant. However, we did have an issue with the table next to us. The lady next to us was constantly on the her mobile talking to a relative in China incredibly loudly which was totally unacceptable! We did express our unhappiness and frustration directly to her and to the staff, who was incredible wanting to help. Some sort of policy should be instigated to ensure all guests are courteous to others.
Table was booked for 2pm. We arrived 20 minutes early but our table was ready so we were seated. We had a lovely table but were sat next to an air con vent at table level which made it VERY cold sitting next to it. It was turned down a bit but was still cold...air con in January!!
When ordering our starters and mains, we asked for a 15 minute gap between courses, the waiter was a little abrupt in telling us we only have the table for two hours. We had only just sat down and thought he was a bit rude, we were well aware of our time slot.
Our whole meal was delicious which made up for the former. Would definitely recommend the Ivy Chelsea garden, the atmosphere is fabulous for a nice birthday celebration.
Since the first moment I stepped my feet in that place waiters started to hush me to order without giving a minute to read the menu.
Worst service in town. The maître wasn’t capable to handling the situation but the manager was kind to apologize.
Amazing diner in ivy 2 days ago. Hostess was very welcoming. Great food. Great quality. Waiter was very nice and friendly. Highly recommended.
Food was nice...well cooked, seasoned, presented, if a little overpriced.
Staff were friendly and attentive enough. .....although there seemed to be a lot of people just standing around.
our waiter was wonderful and that to me is the most important thing
We all really enjoyed every aspect of our dining experience at The Ivy Chelsea Garden. The environment was excellent, the service perfect and the food amazing. Seriously. And it was great value too at just under £50 per head for extremely good food that was tasty and well-presented. Our table was good too and despite the fact that there were a few people in the restaurant, the acoustics were such that it wasn't a noisy experience, we could all hear each other speak, which was perfect. I must mention the service, which was wonderful. I wish I could remember the girl's name, but I can't. She was good because she ever intruded upon us but was efficient and we soon knew that we weren't going to be left wondering if we'd been forgotten (which is never good). So, good food, good service, good everything and nicely located too on the King's Road. Actually, a mention about the desserts as they were good too. I opted for the apple pie, which was amazing. There were simply no complaints whatsoever and I would definitely return...and most likely will, soon, possibly, and this time I might even bring a couple of Russians!
Such a lovely place. The food is delicious and orders are ready super fast. Excellence in service!
Beautiful ambience! Amazing food! Worth every penny
Good food, good service, what more could you want - many thanks
Yes for the food and the place , food was delicious , and the place is beautiful !
Unfortunately , the control at the entry wasn’t efficient because they let a professional thief enter , and he stoles my bag in the front on everyone !
So a bitter sweet evening !
It was our anniversary and the Ivy prepared 2 little celebration buns, much appreciated
I came specially for lobster risotto, The waiter took the order but came back later to tell me that there is no more risotto. Very disappointing!!! Next time I will consider other nice restaurants in Kings rd when I invite friends for lunch
Good service from the bar and the restaurant. Excellent food. Excellent wine list
