Our server was very friendly and knowledgeable, but seemed to be too busy for us. Wine was very nicely priced and cocktails excellent quality. Some dishes were really terrific, others didn't hit the mark, were too small to really taste or arrived cold. The menu is weak on vegetables.

Chef Kevin Cronin met me at the door!

Okay, not really, but he was outside on a call as I drove in, parked, and he held the door, confirmed my reservation, seated me before my whole party was there... and it was only later that I realized who he was!

This is my new favorite joint in Atlantic City, and I am SO happy that Chef Cronin decided to stay back from the boards!

The server was hip, helpful, and knew her food. It's clear that she respects her chef... and isn't that a nice development in a sea of nasty chefs?

The bartenders are THE BOMB, with cocktails as they're meant to be served... perfectly blended and every one a masterpiece. I enjoyed (two of) the specials, a crazy concoction called a "Salt Water Taffy", frothy and delicious.

This is tapas as its finest... our party of four shared the small plates as they came out (just how we like to dine... relaxed and at a slower pace) and we noted that every items was perfect in consistency, texture, and timing. Loved the pairings with sauces and mustards and breads... I think we tried a total of a dozen different dishes; not because we were still hungry, but because we knew we were in the presence of a damned good chef.

I'd say that the basic plate price is $13... divide that by four with everyone getting a taste... very reasonable for food at this level.

If I have one complaint, it's that the volume in the room became daunting several times during our meal... absolutely impossible to hear the others at the table. NOT a place for quiet conversation. Might sit at the bar next time and watch the action there.

Lovely menu. We did not know there was a wine tasting event when we booked. It was fascinating to watch and the lady who orchestrated it came over to apologize. We were fine with being the orphans in the room. The chef owner visited us before and then was clearly busy. The sunchoke frite were delicious as was the take on the wedge salad. The slab bacon and udon Mac and cheese were delicious but a little rich

The Iron Room is a great place to go to escape the mundane food in the casinos in Atlantic City. This place is for people that appreciate food, not someone content eating at a place like margaritaville. I’d highly recommend the grilled octopus small plate.

I have been to this restaurant on several occasions, once again it was top notch. The food and service was second to none. The only complaint I have is that it is a little cramped, however this is the price you pay when you have an excellent restaurant in a small space.

This restaurant came highly recommended from the Philadelphia Inquirer and from buzz around social media. The actual experience was so far from the truth.
1. Staff was disorganized
2. They brought our appetizers to the wrong table
3. Soft Shell Crabs were cold, twice
4. They didn't get the rest of our order right.
5. Food was ok, at best.

First visit...not a usual menu and the appetizers we ordered were way to salty....sunchoked frites for one....the Kobe burger was delicious but there was sand in the lettuce on the sandwich. The pierogi's were good but $20 for 3 was a lot.....had eaten in the bar area a while ago and got frogs legs and croquettes.... didn't see them on the menu which is very limited. We probably won't be going back....the tofu dish was good.

I really enjoy this place and the food is always interesting and delicious. It seems like the chef really takes pride in what he/she puts out. I actually enjoy the out-of-the-way location and the speakeasy feel. Really nice people working there and the bartenders are great.

We were a little hesitant to try this place because it's away from the boardwalk and marina area -about 10 minutes by car from the Borgata. But we're glad we did! We had Sunday brunch for Mother's Day, but brunch is only served in the off season. We had the unlimited micro plates and enjoyed every one of them -two of several of them, they were that good! The ham and Swiss potato pancakes with poached egg were delectable, as was the the French toast. The thick cut bacon was perfectly done! I'm not a bacon eater, but I couldn't stop nibbling hubby's order, so we went for a second order of that too! We actually had three orders of the deviled eggs - they were yummy! The seafood items were good too, but the breakfast dishes were the best -and I don't normally like any kind of breakfast foods! We saved the sweeter items for dessert. Even though our parsley waffle was a little burnt, it was my favorite dessert-like treat because it wasn't overly sweet -the maple butter and chocolate chips gave it just a touch of sweet while the parsley pancake kept the sugar load toned down. Hubby loved the bread pudding, which was a large slice for a "micro" plate. I liked it too -bourbon and banana flavors with a caramel drizzle- but I can only eat a few bites of the sweeter stuff. The chef here has a very inspired and unique perspective on food. The mixologist seemed to be a master chemist, with an array of bottles the likes of which we've never seen in a large bar, let alone a small place like this. The service was good, but for a tasting like we did, make sure you have the time to wait for each dish to be prepared to order. Once the first items came out, it didn't take long for the rest to follow, but it's not a place you want to go if you're in a rush. Take the chance to veer off the beaten path and eat here instead of the boardwalk and casinos -you'll be very glad you did! But get a reservation, the place is very small. Prices are reasonable too. We'll be back for dinner!

I always love coming to the iron room. The tapas style food is always great for all of us to try a little bit of everything. Their wine and special drink selections are always wonderful. Definitely recommended. They just revamped their menu and have a separate bar area from dining area. Can’t wait to go back for the bar menu next time !

We were there for Sunday Brunch. The food was VERY GOOD but we didn't do the small plates because the majority of the items on the menu contained too many carbs. As it was, the items we ordered were on rolls so we just removed the rolls even though I asked not to include the roll with my order, what a waste of food!
The server we had may have been new because we had to keep asking him for water, coffee, salt/pepper. One of the water glasses had a big chip on the rim which he didn't notice so we showed him the chip and asked him to bring a new glass of water. He should have checked the glasses before he brought them to us.
The lighting was very poor where we sat (in the corner in the front room). We had to use our cell phone flashlights in order to read the menu.
It was a very nice touch to have the Chef/Manager come to our table to ask how things were. We told him the food was very good and thanked him for stopping by our table.

We absolutely loved our experience at the Iron Room! We decided to venture away from the hotels and find a more authentic spot in Atlantic City. Iron Room was perfect. The bar is beautiful and stocked with over 400 whiskeys! We sat in the dining room - great atmosphere, perfect for date night. I would probably opt to do the tasting menu next time, that seemed like a better value. But before we realized that, we ordered a la carte. We shared the udon mac & cheese to start, which was SO GOOD! I got the scallops, which were delicious but a bit pricey ($34 for 3 scallops). For dessert, I had the chocolate cake...divine! The Manhattan was the smoothest cocktail I've ever had. Bonus, we went on "Wine Wednesday," so wines by the glass were 1/2 price!

Stumbled on this place through yelp search and so thankful we did! Was an amazing experience, as we enjoyed a very well-rounded "all-you-can-eat" brunch of microplates. Really liked the small plates allowing us to get a taste for everything, yet still totally got our moneys worth, which you can't beat. Service was very pleasant and overall atmosphere was like-wise. Have already recommended to friends and definitely plan on returning if ever in the area again.

Decided to celebrate an early Valentine's dinner and drove down to AC just for this place. As a whiskey drinker (not aficionado), I thought it was awesome how many varieties of Whiskey/Rye/Bourbon they had on hand. Their menu was very creative and fresh. One thing their website did not make clear was that the pricing listed was for small plates and not full meals. We chose the Prix Fixe menu which was a 4 course tasting menu. For me it was enough food, for my boyfriend a buffet isn't enough food for him. If going with girlfriends or other couples, I would say order off their small plates menu and this way everyone can try a little of everything.

All of the food was delicious and we would definitely come back again.

BTW their flourless chocolate cake was delicious- however it left me wanting a little bit more. (not sure if their regular menu slice is larger than their prix fixe menu slice)

Side note- We have driven past this bar many times. On the outside it looks run down and not very fancy, but as soon as you walk in you are transported to a trendy & chic hideaway.

Do not miss the brunch. This was our second brunch here and this time around we did the all you can eat small plates, and the selection is amazing. Melissa our server was patient with us and attentive on everything. Bloody Mary’s were killer as always. Overall This is the perfect spot for locals to hang out away from the crowds in summer for happy hour, and a cozy date spot in the winter months. I will always patronize the Iron Room.
