The Iron Frog Tavern is a traditional American pub that serves a number of specialty drinks and numerous American dishes to the customers at lunch and dinner. There is live music played at the pub and the ambience is casual. The Iron Frog Tavern is a kid-friendly restaurant with a wide range of dishes.
The food at The Iron Frog Tavern offers appetizers, entrées and salads. Diners can order delicacies like nachos, Bourbon BBQ chicken, chicken salad and special tavern wings. The portion size is adequate and service is prompt. The waiters are welcoming and courteous. .
As always the food was very good as was our waitress. The kitchen however was very slow to get our food out. This is not usually the case for us so we are chalking it up to an off night for them.
We had a family gathering dinner with seniors, adults and a child. The food was enjoyed by all. The conversation was a little challenging due to the noise, but it was as you would expect for a tavern. The potato tot dishes are amazing; try them! The other dishes are very generously sized. Food is fresh and delicious and service attentive.
This is good place with family. Food was very good. I think that they could of used a few more servers. Our server was great and very energentic but he was covering a large area all by himself.
Booked for a girls luncheon for 10 of us. The staff was very accommodating and incredibly attentive. Food was fantastic! The risotto balls and tot menu were delicious :-) We highly recommend The Frog!
Our first time there and we were impressed. We will definitely be back. Food was great and loved it when my daughter asked for ice cream with her cake and waitress said we have no rules here I will make it happen. Great spot !
The server was excellent, but the food delivery could have been quicker.
We went here for a small birthday gathering. The food abnd service were great. Nice little bar scene and a great Magician that went table to table but totally non invasive. Will definatley go back
Would recommend the risotto balls appetizer
We went for Sunday brunch/lunch. We were the first customers there at 11:30 a.m. The waitress informed us they were out of one menu item. After we ordered she came back and said they were out of another menu item which was something one of our party ordered. We also ordered Bloody Marys and discovered when we got the bill that they were $9 each. I think that is an outrageous price for a funny little neighborhood tavern. Our bill was over $100. We will not go back.
Great American pub food.. Mac and cheese was excellent and so was the meatloaf. Took a while for food to come out but we weren't in a rush. Mojitos very good. Trivia game offered as we were leaving and seemed very fun and lively. Would definitely come back.
Bar setting, very casual. Friendly service. Enjoyed the quesidlla, burger and rueben.
Good service and food; great beer menu. They have Back East beer on tap......our favorite local craft beer.
We went with a dietary restriction, and the kitchen was incredibly flexible in preparing the entree.
Three generations of us gathered to honor the moms. Food was delicious, if maybe a little bit slow, but we weren't in a hurry, and the moms had free mimosas. Not a cheap brunch, but lovely and pleasant and convenient and tasty.
I would have to classify the Iron Frog as an upscale burger joint although I didn't try the burgers because there were other interesting items that fell short. Pork Belly Sliders to me were merely roast pork on a bun. Pork Belly is not roast pork. The grilled cheese on sourdough with pork was overwhelmed by the pork and became a roast pork sandwich with a hint of cheese. I'm sure the burgers were great, they sounded great and next time I would stick with the basic fare.
Has potential to be a great, popular restaurant, but menu needs to be updated and food needs to taste better. There was a pretty mixed crowd of people (families, young couples, senior citizens) and the magician coming around to tables was annoying.
This was our first visit. Table of four, we sat outside which was comfortable. Service was great. Food average & did take 45 min. When the restaraunt was not busy.
Such a disappointment. My poor son ordered the eggplant special, when it arrived (10 minutes after everyone else at the table) the meal looked as if it sat under a hot lamp for 30 minutes. I wanted to send it back but he was so hungry he wouldn't let me. The waitress was never available and rushed us through our meal to the point of being Very rude. Half of us were still eating and she started collecting plates and placed dessert menus in front of everyone. This is a lovely restaurant, the service needs to improve or they will lose business. Our last visit was terrific, not sure what changed. Very disappointing.
Service was slow and our main courses were seriously under seasoned. Our waitress tried to make up for some of our issues but I don't think we'll be back.
We were looking for a casual evening out at a moderately priced restaurant. The Iron Frog seemed to fit the bill.
Prior to the band the recorded music was too loud to talk, each time we asked the speaker near our table was turned down
but the volume seemed to creep up none the less. Our food was mediocre: the salmon burger was mostly filler and undercooked,
the shepard's pie had good taste but very little lamb, and the salads had the smallest salmon fillets. It's a place we would go for a drink
but not for a meal.
We had never been to the Iron Frog before but went for dinner there on the Saturday night the day before St. Patrick's Day. Both my husband I agreed it was the best corned beef and cabbage we have ever had (and we are both Irish and in our sixties, so that is saying something). They had a band named Grant's Tomb that started playing at nine. Usually we don't like noisy bands, and had planned to exit when the music started, but these musicians were truly outstanding and very appealing. We end up staying for another three hours. The restaurant presents a lively scene with an energized and welcoming ambiance. We are so glad we discovered the Iron Frog and will definitely return, for both the terrific food and the friendly atmosphere.
Great food, fun atmosphere. Will go again!
The Iron Frog met every expectation we had of a local tavern. My kids and I were there to celebrate my wife's birthday dinner. It had good food and good service and good ambience. The quality of food was excellent. Two thums up from us and my kids.
Had the Nooks and Crannies...yum.
Love the Iron Frog. The food was terrific and the waitress very helpful.
We brought our children ages 11&12 and they were also very pleased with their lunch.
Will visit again.
Went on a Thursday night for happy hour and dinner in the bar. Nice pub atmosphere and there's a deck which looks great for warmer weather. During happy hour all drafts beers and certain wines are $4 and the apps were half price or less. There was a guitar player who was very good, but he was just a little too loud for the size of the pub. The food was really good. Our rice ball app came with 2 large crunchy risoto balls and a big cup of cheese fondue for dipping. Yummy. The chicken pot pie, lamb shepards pie and mac & cheese were all very tasty once you added some salt. Looks like the chef lets you do the seasoning. Menu looked very interesting and we'll definitely be going back.
Changing the reservation time was a challenge for me. I ended up calling to change instead of online.
Enjoyed the pub. Fun place to go on a Saurday night. Food was pretty good especcially the wings, Had a special for the supper Bowl called "Poor Boy" with fried oysters, excellant. Drinks were reasonably pirced. Would like to go back sometime!!!
I will try again. We were seated by a window and there was a constant breeze on my feet and shoulders. I had a hard time enjoying my food because of it. Also, it took quite a while for the food to come out and we were not offered refills for our drinks.
We had a great experience for my husband's birthday. The service was excellent. When another couple came in saying that it was drafty they moved them immediately to warmer area and offered to move us too. I'm not one to complain in a restaurant so I felt bad but they were like 'no way, we want you to enjoy your meal'! The food was great especially the honey bbq wings! Those were the best wings I've ever had! We live 45 mins away but we'll definitely go back one day :)
