Wonderful dinner of Irish comfort foods. But also great oysters and mussels for appetizers.

Scallops were not fresh, were small and garnish on them was soggy cauliflower or some over cooked veg

Even after 45 years together, we still enjoy a wonderful, quiet night out together. The Irish Inn is quaint, rustic, warm, and friendly. The food is extremely well-prepared with a wonderful presentation. Service is fantastic and adult beverages to die for. This is a great place for any occassion and cannot wait to go back. Many thanks to the entire staff for a great time on Valentine's Day 2018!

We met old friends to catch up. We were seated on the second floor in the back. It was quiet and perfect. Our waiter was attentive but not bothersome. The food was delicious, just what each of us wanted on a cold winter night. We had beef stroganoff and Shepherd’s pie with shared desserts. A wonderful evening. We’ll certainly be back soon.

Appetizers were very good (oysters, deviled eggs, calamari), entrees OK but far from great with the “Galway seafood stew” quite disappointing. Biggest issue was the abbreviated wine list and being told that the first two bottles we ordered (Kendall Jackson and Cakebread chardonnays) were “out of stock”. These are not rare wines and left only a few mundane choices for white wines. Not impressive.

Restaurant was busy for a late Friday lunch and parking was a challenge; however, after checking with the hostess learned that Valet Only lot was an alternative although attendant was not available.
Fish and chips were very good; Reuben was acceptable but dry and lacking in flavour; Service was attentive. We ate in the upper level in a small room with lots of daylight shining in. It was perfect for a long lunch where our lingering was not a problem.

Over century old venue, quaint and good food, service - but very expensive for portions served. My very small half sandwich and small soup bowl was $14. For larger entrees, $25 on up.

Special occasion venue

Just doesn't get much better than this. I love this place as a gem of DC. It's just genuine and uncomplicated. If you need to slow down a bit, go sit on the patio with a friend. If you need a great dining experience, bring a business partner. You just can't go wrong.

We stopped in after a gallery opening at Glen Echo and enjoyed the food. One can easily eat a 3 course meal or opt for a sandwich. Lots of traditional foods

The food is consistently good. It was crowded on Friday night for happy hour and it was a very mild January evening and with the heat lamps on the patio we comfortably ate outside!! Great evening!!

Very homey setting that makes a great place for a meal on a cold day. However, the eggs benedict that we ordered were only so so. The English muffin was dry and difficult to cut. And while the eggs and smoked salmon I had were tasty, there was very little hollandaise sauce.

I love going to the Irish Inn at Glen Echo and combining it with a visit to Glen Echo Park next door. This would be a great "in-the-know" date for anyone meeting up with someone unfamiliar with the area! The food and atmosphere at the Inn are outstanding, and there is nothing like a historic roadhouse setting to make food taste great. Not to mention that before being gentrified into the Irish Inn at Glen Echo, it was a rough biker/dive bar for decades called "Trav's," presumably from "Travelers'. Enjoy. Brunch, lunch, dinner, drinks in the pub, you can't go wrong.

We were late getting there and still the receptionist and Pub manager were absolutely welcoming and understanding. They found us a perfect corner table near the jazz band and the evening there was such a fun time for everyone!! GREAT staff!
