Made a reservation for Easter morning and I walked in and they claimed the kitchen didn’t open for another 2 hours.
I eat there often and always enjoy the atmosphere, service and food.
Really great food and cool vibe but TERRIBLE service. Entire place was empty and we asked to be put somewhere a little further from the speakers but instead were put right under a speaker and had music blasting on us all night which made conversation difficult. The servers just weren't friendly and looked miserable to be there. Had to ask for our check at the end of the night 3 separate times before we finally got it. Would love to go back because their curry fries, shepherds pie and chicken pot pie were perfectly made but only if service improves.
I have been here for after work events but, this was the first time I came for lunch. The food was delicious and the service was great. My friends and I will definitely come back again.
It's always a pleasure to spend time at The Irish American Pub. A friendly, relaxed place to have a good comfort meal and a drink. The Staff is wonderful!
Great atmosphere and unexpected since location downstairs/basement. French dip and wings and pretzel app excellent. Place looked cute with Christmas lights
I’ m back next time visiting NY and Liverpool-game. YNWA
This place is amazing. If you’re looking for a friendly atmosphere, good food, and reasonable prices, this is your place. I ended up there the first time because my wife was shopping down the street. I had such a good time my whole family came back for brunch the next day.
Went for the food but what is shown on the menu on open table wasn’t the menu at all.
Five out of eight of us enjoyed our meals. However, we arrived early and were seated at the back of an almost empty restaurant not far from the bar, yet waited for more than 10 minutes for a server. The server arrived only after a person from our party went to the bar to request service. Additionally, the server only checked back with us after we asked the food runner for another drink. The bathrooms were dirty with paper all over the floor; this should not be at 4 o’clock in the afternoon!
We came for breakfast and to watch the Liverpool game. Food was ok, service was good.
Really good food, service and ambiance. The place was clean and well staffed. The noise level was low and the lighting was just right for a pub.
Noisy place and the food seems like it all came out of the freezer. Service was poor and it was not busy.
Nice place to have a drink and gab a quick bite. The food was good and the staff was very friendly. We will go back again.
They didnt honour open table reservations on 11th
Why is open table letting us reserve when the restaurant cannot accomodate
Great food! We liked it so much, we went back a couple of nights later while we were in lower Manhattan.
Chicken curry was okay. Irish dishes & burgers are terrific.
Also lovely to meet a hostess from the Kingdom.
A hidden gem when you fancy a pint at a proper bar or for casual dining with friends.
The bar prices are a little high but there is a great selection of draught beers and a very full range of wines and spirits.
The food is very reasonably priced with good quality, presentation and portion sizes.
The bar can be quite busy and the regular clients definitely get served before the tourists but, the vibe is friendly and welcoming.
You aren't spoilt for choice in this area of NY but if you're passing this is a great place to quench your thirst or gather with friends.
Good and fast service with pretty decent fare. Generous portions too.
First time here. When we finally found which door was for the restaurant, we could smell a very strong disinfectant. We were glad they had cleaned the place but it was almost overwhelming. My friend and I both ordered hamburgers. They were good but a little dry. We ordered them well done but I always order my burgers well done & they aren't dry. The fries were very good. Also, the service was kind of 'lax'. We hardly got refills and once had to ask for them. So, I doubt if I will go there again. Just too many things that happened there that don't happen at other restaurants.
It's a pub drinks good food ok prices ok for NYC
Food was Luke warm, mediocre and tasteless. service was haphazard and slow at best ! The Shepherds pie was mostly unseasoned potatoes and the Chicken curry was served with hot rice and freezing cold chips.
The wait staff was extremely prompt and friendly. The fish and chips was burnt and was returned. Disappointing for an Irish pub. The burgers were good.
I recommend the Irish American burger. It was so good. I didn't think I would like it but I loved it. There is no service in the restaurant due to it being underground. It has free wifi though
Great customer service !! Good Irish breakfast... neat place to go if you are a soccer fan
In basement. Only went there because was Sunday and lots other lower Manhattan places closed and was close to hotel. Just not my type of thing and food was just fair.
Très beau pub et cuisine, serveur au top, bonne ambiance..très bon rapport qualité prix
Large place, great selection of drinks, good quality eats.
Had St. Patrick's Day meal. Corned beef and cabbage was very authentic. Bar service was okay considering the crowd.
The food was okay. The fries could have been hotter. I thought the chicken could have been cooked more on the sandwich we ordered.
food was good, service good. no complaints. we each had different entrees, shared an appetizer and had drinks. Portions were good size. We were in a rush as we had theatre tickets but overall this is a good pub.
The staff was friendly. The food was good. It's one of the more reasonably priced places to dine near the Trade Center. It is downstairs and not handicapped accessible.
I love this place ,and I always tell ppl to come ,oh and the service is excellent .
Karaoke is a big plus .
Went as family to Freedom Tower and ate dinner here. Place is downstairs and had a "B" health rating. Ordered appetizers and burgers. Chicken wings were burnt in fryer with sauce over them, just didn't eat them. Really gross wings! Didn't even tell waiter because we wouldn't eat a new batch. Burgers were just blah at best. Service was good. Always asking if we needed anything and refilling water.
The food was great. It was very cold and steep steps for my 90 year old mom.
The Barbaque Chicken Wrap was horrible, it made tow of my staff sick, this will be our last visit there.
Good for a late night snack. Good staff, good service, and a well-mannered later crowd, that was well served and managed by real professionals of the business.
We went there for St. Patrick's day, just two of us hoping to get a good Irish pub experience. They didn't have any idea we had a reservation so we ended up waiting for a table and then were cramped back in a corner. They were friendly employees but the food was only fair and, I know it's NYC and St. Patrick's Day, but $9 for a plastic cup of Guinness? Food was fair but expensive too...it was a rowdy place which was fun for St. Paddy's but when you're stuck in a corner away from the scene it translates to just noise. I'd recommend to go if you just want to sit at the bar and have a drink but not for food or fun dining.
Have been here before ... It is a good solid place for a lunch with the girls from work. Salads were large and delicious. The sandwiches were great too. Service was wonderful. Have been here when it is both busy and quiet and, thankfully, service has been good on both occasions.
Under ground and had a bit of a odor. the place was very empty for lunch. The server was very very good and attentitive. Ordered a burger and it was delicious. The place just needs an updating and some DampRid.
