Enjoyed the birthday dinner for my husband; his favorite restaurant. The wait staff and manager were great. Always enjoy sitting near a fireplace. The food was delicious. My salmon was a little undercooked for my taste, but there was no problem in getting it a little more cooked. When making the dinner reservation, I did request a piece of cake with a candle for my husband's birthday, which we didn't get, so that was the only thing that was a little disappointing, but no big deal.
We went for our Valentines dinner but a day after.

Each of 4 diners choose a different meal. They each were simply delicious. Shrimp, mixed grill, scallops and steak. One was as wonderful as the next. Can't wait to go back!!
Been here many time over the years...for Dinner and the Cozy little bar, even stayed at the Inn Once!!! I have also been out by the water in the warm weather and as always, had a great time and it was simply the best!!! Thank you!!!

The dinner was overall very good with one exception, one of my guests ordered a hamburger medium well done, the burger was very burned as well as the bun which was actually charred black and this should not have even been presented to my guest the way it was. The server should have refused to present it and demand another burger on behalf of my guest. My guest didn't want to cause a commotion and disrupt the dinner so he ate what small portion he could without saying anything. Everything else was very nice and i would recommend your restaurant anytime.
The inn at sugar hill is an outstanding place to have a nice meal. The staff is wonderful, very friendly, and accommodating. I will be eating there again very soon.
We enjoyed our quiet dinner on the porch, few people in the restaurant due to the snow storm. We would like to try this gem in warmer weather to sit outside.
Had dinner there with friends on Friday night. Neal the host who greeted us at door called us by name and walked us right to a table by the fireplace.
Helen our waitress was great! Both of them checked on us several times through the meal to make sure we were all ok.
Had the tuna special, crab cakes, stuffed shrimp and scallops. All four (4) meals were awesome and well portioned, no complaints.
Wife and I eat here a couple times a season when outdoor deck is open. Had been a few years since we ate inside, it won’t be a that long til we are back again!

We had not been to the Inn at Sugar Hill in many years. The ambience is very nice, but the restaurant was not busy at all for a Saturday night. We were seated in the bar area, and the only issue was an extremely loud patron at the bar. We would have preferred the dining room, but it looked empty.
I ordered the crab bisque which was touted as having an abundance of crab- it did not. Absolute no chunks at all, only "threads " of crab. Taste was salty. My husband had the pear salad and said it was very good. My Caesar salad on the other hand was dry and lacked adequate dressing. The lobster mac & cheese was incredibly salty and my husband could not eat it at all. The bowl was a decent size portion however.
For our main entrees I had the walnut crusted salmon (Dry and bland) and my husband had the mixed grill. The lamb chops were excellent- best thing on the menu. The salmon was a pass.
Overall the food needs work, but the service was great. Our waitress was very friendly and attentive.

We made an 8:30 reservation as this was the only available time for our party size. When we were seated at approximately 8:45 our server came over to our table and told us that she didn’t want to rush us but the kitchen closes at 9:00! What a way to start the tone of our dinner. Why would a restaurant have a time slot for an 8:30 reservation if they close their kitchen at 9:00????
We dined there a week ago on Friday. The service was outstanding and the place is so very beautiful. My wife had the sirloin steak which she loved and I could not resist the duck which was fantastic. While there we had the opportunity to check out the rooms at the inn. We were so pleased that we booked an overnight stay for Thanksgiving. Stop in when you get the chance you won't be disappointed.
We wanted to treat our daughter's in-laws to dinner to repay them for all of the times they hosted us at their summer home in Ocean City. We sat at a table by the window looking out on the river and it was lovely. Our server was friendly and very capable (it was her first night working there). Food was good, comparable price for a restaurant like it. Would recommend to anyone looking for ambiance.
Hadn't been here in many years, but just as beautiful & quality food as always! Lovely ambience & river view. My filet mignon was delicious, & my girlfriends raved about the duck & shrimp! Dessert was yummy too!

My wife and I had our first Valentines Day dinner here 25 years ago. It was such a horrible experience at the time, I swore we'd never go back there again. I don't know what made me think to come back for our 25th wedding anniversary dinner, but I'm glad I did. The setting and service were wonderful. The food was very good, and the portions were respectable (a vast improvement from our first visit where the entree portions wouldn't rate a decent appetizer, but let's stay with the present). The Mediterranean Flatbread appetizer was a nice start. I had the Lamb Lollipops appetizer (there were only two with not a lot of meat on them, but what was there was delicious, and I can never get enough lamb). My son got the Salmon, which he said was very good. I got the Filet and Crab Cake combination. The 6 ounce Filet was done perfectly rare with an onion, mushroom, and balsamic reduction. The crab cake was phenomenal! There was so much meat, and so little filler, I couldn't figure out how it stayed together. Lumps of crab meat as big as my thumb. If they lose any points, it has to be with my wife's stuffed shrimp. 6 big shrimp stuffed with crabmeat, they had a very good flavor, but the shrimp were overcooked and chewy. Overall, the whole dining experience screamed redemption. I'm glad I decided to give it another try. You'll have room for dessert. I strongly suggest the Bread Pudding. In case you're wondering; Two cocktails, two appetizers, three dinners, and one dessert (we shared) came to $140.00 without the tip. Maybe not a weekly dinner place, but if you want to go someplace for a special occasion where you can actually have a conversation in a normal speaking tone and no din, give the Inn at Sugar Hill a try.
Everything was perfect the view and laid back atmosphere (after Labor Day) but I sure it's a lot of fun during the summer season!
Went for our anniversary and we were so excited. After arriving we waited 15 minutes and still no waitress came to our table. We asked someone finally if we had a waitress. My salad was very small compared to table next to us. I had to send my food back because it was cold.
