The Inn’s dining rooms are pure fantasy – a wondrous cocoon of luxury. Rose-colored, silk lampshades float above each table creating a private, romantic world below. The Chef’s creations arrive at one of the 30 intimate tables as if served by invisible hands, course after course, more dazzling than the last. From the award winning 12,000 bottle wine cellar, which includes the finest offerings from Bordeaux, Burgundy, California and Virginia, the Sommelier plays matchmaker between you, your dinner and the wine.

The late Craig Claiborne of The New York Times called it “the most magnificent inn I’ve ever seen, in this country or Europe, where I had the most fantastic meal of my life”. Patrick’s approach to cooking, while paying homage to the lawmakers of Classical French Cuisine, reflects a belief in “the cuisine of today”, healthy, eclectic, imaginative, unrestricted by ethnic boundaries and always growing.

Terrific! The walk around the grounds is also well worth it. I am already looking forward to my next visit!

By far the best and most amazing dining experience we’ve ever had. The food - the wine - the detail - the service - the ambiance. When a $1000 dinner is a great value, they are doing something outstanding. Just an unforgettable experience.

We visited the Inn to celebrate our neice’s Engagement. Her parents had never been so they joined us. The food was outstanding as usual, and the service is always top grade. The staff was helpful and knowledgeable in particular the sommelier who recommended two terrific choices we all enjoyed. We will absolutely return.

The Inn is an amazing experience. The service is excellent - they make you feel at home and the wait staff while young were eager to please. The food as always isn't food as much a work of art not only in its presentation but in the combinations of flavors and textures - just amazing how he does it. We have been several times and are always ready to go back

The best dining experience I have had in my 25 years of traveling and working in 14 countries. Flavors of food / dishes showcase the star in each course. I enjoyed the variety of special serving dishes. Casually, I asked for recipe for minted English pea soup and received a customized recipe to meet my dietary needs. Chef O’Connell met and spoke with me. Jess provided a tour of the kitchen which is conducted like an orchestra and exudes Zen. Alejandro treated me as if I were a queen. I couldn’t have asked for a better dining experience and food. Thank you with all my heart!

It was ok. We did not think it was all that great. We have gone to great fine dining restaurant and for a meal over $900 dollars it should have been way better. Like wow you, it did not. There is a big difference between 3 Michelin and 2 Michelin restaurants. Probably will not go back.

We were harried and late due to awful DC traffic and were welcomed ever so warmly. The progression of the evening was absolute perfection with perfect execution of every culinary aspect. I'd say a 3rd Michelin star is in order!

Dinner at The Inn has been on our bucket list for years. We finally pulled the trigger and asked some friends to join us for the experience. The decor of The Inn is beautiful. We were blown away by Patrick O’Connell’s stunning culinary creations. The wine pairings perfectly complimented each course. The staff was incredibly attentive and knowledgeable without being intrusive. We thoroughly our dining experience at The Inn and look forward to a repeat performance.

Arguably the best meal and dining experience I’ve had. I had very high expectations and they were surpassed. From arrival to departure, our party of three couldn’t have had a more lovely and memorable experience. The food was beautifully prepared and presented, with outstanding quality ingredients and flavors. Service was impeccable without being stuffy. The only surprise was the dessert - a chocolate hazelnut number, beautifully arranged, but lacked the punch of the prior courses. At such prices this is not a place I could afford to frequent regularly, but it was worth every penny and I’ll definitively return.

Amazing and memorable. This was one of the best meals my wife and I have ever eaten in a restaurant, and we go out a lot, at a level with the late Charlie Trotter’s in Chicago or Three Chimneys on the Isle of Skye. Every single course was unique, memorable, and delicious. The Inn does raise the question: how much should Art, or a fond memory, cost? Know that this will be very expensive meal (with wine pairing, taxes, and tip, more than $400/head), but that it will also be singular and unforgettable. You know that everything will be just right, asymptotically approaching perfection. Advice? Reserve well in advance. The meal will take about 2 1/2-3 hours - every moment to be savored. Think about staying in Washington, VA - at a B&B or (if you can afford it) the Inn after the meal. Enjoy the service - ask lots of questions - and the wine pairings are both well suited (some amazingly so) and accompanied by a nice short talk from the sommelier. This is a meal at the pinnacle of what a restaurant can achieve. If the value equation is right for you, I cannot recommend it more. I look forward to coming back for some other life event (this was our anniversary).

A multi course meal is enhanced by the thoughtful service knowledgeable and sometimes entertaining staff. It’s a team approach. And wait, there is more with three mini courses as a surprise. The decor and ambiance doesn’t disappoint. It is worth the drive to The Inn at Little Washington.

Thank you for making our 20th wedding anniversary special. We came to the Inn on our first anniversary, and now 19 years later for our 20th. The service was excellent. The Inn is beautiful, and my wife loved the fresh flowers. We will definitely find an excuse to return and stay at the Inn in the near future. We won’t wait for another 19 years to pass. Thank you for making the experience so memorable.

The Inn at Little Washington is celebrating its 40th year and it remains one of the finest restaurants in the United States; if not the world. Fabulous service; outstanding creative menu; super wine list and a few surprises along the way. There are three four course menu's to choose from, but you can mix/match from each. Service is even better than what you would expect in a restaurant of this quality that is world renown. And Patrick O'Connell's creative cooking is just wonderful. Worth a visit.

You pay for perfection and that is exactly what you get. We are still high on our experience. We know it’s pricey, but everyone should treat themselves at least once in their lifetime. We are so happy we went. By the way, we were apprehensive about the atmosphere before we arrived. We felt very valued and welcomed by all who work there. They go above and beyond to make you feel comfortable.

Simply amazing. Certainly lives up to its reputation. Expensive as hell but so worth it. The set menu allows swapping between three menus. Explore the menu and ask questions and make sure you have caesar salad ice cream. Yes, you read that correctly. Enjoy. You will talk about your meal for the rest of your life.

While not the case for everything on every plate, there were elements of true pure brilliance. The flavor of the white sweet potato soubise was so astoundingly deep in flavor that everything else on the plate, while delicious, seemed a bit lackluster. Service was beyond exceptional. Remarkably attentive and accommodating without being overbearing. Humor used liberally made the opulent surroundings seem comfortable and not at all stuffy.
