The Inn’s dining rooms are pure fantasy – a wondrous cocoon of luxury. Rose-colored, silk lampshades float above each table creating a private, romantic world below. The Chef’s creations arrive at one of the 30 intimate tables as if served by invisible hands, course after course, more dazzling than the last. From the award winning 12,000 bottle wine cellar, which includes the finest offerings from Bordeaux, Burgundy, California and Virginia, the Sommelier plays matchmaker between you, your dinner and the wine.

The late Craig Claiborne of The New York Times called it “the most magnificent inn I’ve ever seen, in this country or Europe, where I had the most fantastic meal of my life”. Patrick’s approach to cooking, while paying homage to the lawmakers of Classical French Cuisine, reflects a belief in “the cuisine of today”, healthy, eclectic, imaginative, unrestricted by ethnic boundaries and always growing.

Best cuisine of our entire life—absolute culinary magic. A gorgeous ambiance, a vintage yet classic feel. The entire experience felt like it was out of a story book. The food and wine pairings were something we will never ever forget.

It was inspiring and based on nothing I have eaten before. It is impossible to predict the combination of flavors and textures of each course. You simply have to eat it.

They definitely deserve the third Michelin star. A memorable experience. Staff is very attentive, especially the wine manager and the cheese/tea guy. Food is outstanding without being pretentious. Make a weekend of it and have a great time in the area.

Walking in to the Inn my senses were taken over by the beautiful ambiance. The warmth of the gentleman that greeted us was just as warm as the fire burning in the entry way.
I unfortunately wasn’t feeling too notch that evening, but that was no problem
For the staff. It was as if they could hear my thoughts. A young lady quickly brought me club soda with biters and some Advil. The service was as impressive as the food was. Everything was gorgeous and delicious. I can’t wait to come back to The Inn.

Worthy of its 3 Michelin stars. The Chef puts out amazing food. 3 different choices of menu, very accommodating of food allergies. Amazing atmosphere and outstanding service. The staff are very funny and creative. Definitely expensive, but worth it for a special occasion. Wouldn’t change a thing!

First time dining here. This place is a legend in the DC area. First courses were very good. Duck was tough. Service very spotty. Bread person circled the room many times without stopping. Desert was so-so. Wine and cocktail lists ok. Too expensive for what we received and too far to come back without being wowed.

I was extremely impressed with The Inn at Little Washington. From the moment you pull up with your car you feel extremely welcome. My husband and I went for our anniversary dinner and requested a corner table. Our request was honored and our menus were personalized with a "happy anniversary" message. They offer three distinct tasting menus, one of them a vegetarian menu, and they allow you to substitute items on the menu according to your preference, allergies, etc. Needless to say they are very accommodating. The two amuse-bouche dishes served were delightful, and also accommodated my dietary preferences. Every dish on the menu was superb, the portions were neither overly small or overly large, so I never felt hungry or excessively full. The cheese cart, served by their cheese whizz, is a MUST, the cheeses are wonderful and the cheese whizz is hilarious. If I have one complaint it would be that I really wanted to try their famous popcorn, but that was not on the menu. I LOVED their Cesar salad ice cream, which I tried from one of my husband's dishes in the tasting menu he selected. The restaurant is a bit of a far drive from Washington DC, about 1.5 hours away from Potomac, MD where we were. But it is definitely worth the drive. The wine list is very good. The cocktails are delicious. I especially loved the raspberry white chocolate martini. The service is very good as well, as you would expect from a 3 Michelin Star restaurant. Overall we were happy to celebrate our anniversary there, we highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for an exquisite dining experience near the DC area, and we surely would return (and perhaps even stay at the Inn, because it's gorgeous).

My girlfriend and I went to the Inn at Little Washington to celebrate her 30th bday. It was an experience like none other. The food was beautiful and delicious. The staff were courteous, knowledgeable, and always willing to help with a smile on their face. We stayed in the Inn as well and the accommodations were remarkable. It is very expensive, so likely will not return for awhile but it is a bucket list item and I hope to go back within the next 10 years!

From the time we got out of the car, it was spectacular! They met us at the door of our vehicle with umbrellas as it was raining and cold. They escorted us to the restaurant and gave us a tour prior to seating us.

Food was fantastic, service was top notch, ambiance was perfect and provided a colonial Virginia feel.

Will do it again with our kids at some point soon as they are getting old enough to appreciate fine dining.

“The food is amazing and worth every penny. However, this be it my second time visiting, the staff was nicer and more accommodating last year when they were working towards their third Michelin star vs. this year, the year they’ve finally won one of their highest achievements.
