We were there on Thanksgiving day and had an enjoyable meal. We are vegan and we’re expecting to order off the menu, but the holiday lunch buffet was the only option. While the choices for plant-based eating were limited, we liked what we had and were grateful for the attentive staff. We will go back another time to order off the full menu.

Most of the food was authentic and very good, although we were surprised that the rice served with curry was akin to Uncle Ben's - nothing like the true basmati Indian rice we've enjoyed in so many other authentic Indian restaurants. That was disappointing.

If it wasn't for their mediocre service, this restaurant would be a 10/10. The food is amazing. The decor is elegant. But when we walked in, we were standing behind a long line of Door Dash/Uber Eats drivers for about 10 minutes. There was no one there to welcome us. We finally found the manager and he sat us at our table. We knew we were in for a long wait when someone at the table next to us said "hope you're not starving". LOL. About 15 minutes later we got our first visit from a waitress. We ordered everything at once. The food took a while, but it was worth the wait. Savory and intricate. Don't book if you're in a hurry.

Restaurant looks great, food was good. But Hours of operation and Actual hours need to be corrected. Opened at 11am; we booked lunch at 11:15am (could have booked at 10:45am via Opentable, which is a problem). Got there early at 11, but doors were closed and a group was calling to hear that they don't open until 11:30 and left. Our small party had loose plans so we could wait, but had I not stopped a worker as he was entering to ask about reservations, we would have walked away too, very disappointed. Restaurant needs to update their hours of operation on Google and these apps...

What a disappointment. The server misled us into thinking the platters were only enough for one person, when, in fact, they would have easily fed 2-3 people. As a result we over ordered and did not eat most of our meal. Did she intentionally mislead us into overordering so we spent more?? Also the malai kofta was a disgrace. It was dry on the inside and we could not eat it because it was not edible that way. The seating was sun-optimal as we could hear the entire dining room since there was no carpet to absorb the sound. So we will not return.

We were a party of 8 that had little experience with Indian cuisine and requested some help from the wait staff in identifying the various menu items and their ingredients. We honestly felt like we were annoying them and they were unwilling to take the time to talk to any of the menu items. One of the servers just seem to make sure I actually quite a terrible attitude entire time we were there. The food itself was good but not outstanding and the portions fair. We were placed right in the middle of the restaurant which I was disappointed with, as it made it difficult to hear each other in conversation. Overall it was fine but I was hoping for a better overall experience

Food was the best Indian food I’ve had. The appetizers were amazing (chicken tikka and Papdi Chaat. For the mains, we paired sweet Kashmiri naan with spicy Punjabi chili paneer. It was INCREDIBLE. The service was good and the atmosphere is beautiful. There is such detail in the decor. Had a really enjoyable time.

Food was good but these guys were short staffed. Manager was a gentleman and professional, had a smiling face all the time. Indian wine was crap but few chicken items were good. Overall, it’s better than lot of indian places in Chicago, worth a try

Dining experience was great. Restaurant was very busy but service was not impacted in any way. We were seated within 5 minutes of arrival and server was at our table right away to take our order. We ordered Keema Samosa, Garlic Naan and Bhuna Shrimp (spicy and regular), which came with Basmati rice. The level of heat in the spicy was perfect if you like heat (which I do). Overall, the food was excellent. Besides the server, other staff members were extremely attentive. Someone from the management team checked on us, and another team lead was available throughout our entire dining experience to make sure we had everything we needed. Service was great.

We were in Chicago coming back from vacation and had this restaurant on the list based on recommendation from friends. It didnt disappoint, service and ambiance was great, and the food was great quality. We had the samosas a chicken kebab and tikka massala and everything delivered. My son and daughter loved it as well! We will be back with a bit more time to enjoy being there.

We are a group of Star Trek fans, approx 24. We booked a large group for dinner during the recent Star Trek convention at McCormick Place. We had been to IG in the past as the same large group and they had accommodated us so beautifully we were looking forward to returning. They should have just said no. I would then have only been left w the good memory of last time. Instead, they took our reservations. But when we were finally seated we were pushed, and not in a friendly way, to immediately order. Our poor server who was very sweet and gracious even had other staff interrupt her While she was Taking our order to demand she hurry and get our order. While the food was delicious and the place is gorgeous, they will never receive another penny from me as long as I live. At least 1/3rd of our group is local and we all agreed to never return. At least 4 of us are in hospitality and found our treatment unforgivable. I know our table's bill was $400 before the grat (which we added on to both visits, btw. I'm a firm 25%er) so the other table's check had to be close. Imagine how much we could have spent if we had been given the opportunity to Really order appetizers and drinks, and more bread and more rice and more drinks and heaven forbid dessert. I completely understand saying "No, We're sorry we cannot accommodate you on this date." I absolutely do not forgive them for the way they handled us. Especially as there seemed to be zero reasons for it. The food came quickly. They have a backroom which is where we sat before and where we sat this night. There seemed to be plenty of staff. The bottom line is that Management blew it and it will be their last chance with me or anyone in attendance w us that evening.
