Duck Fat Fries
ketchup and Alabama white sauce on side
Great food and professional prepared. Meatloaf, mashed potatoes, and greens like you never had. Steaks done exactly like you asked. Real banana pudding and fried green tomatoes unreal. Outstanding mixed drinks.
Amazing food and even better service! The team is so accommodating and helpful, and everything we ordered was so tasty. The perfect way to spend Mother's Day!
Out of several things on the menu including Strawberries for the Strawberry Salad, but served the salad anyway and told us when they brought it to the table. Food was cold for all 3 of us.
They messed up our reservation, we ate lunch there the Wednesday before mothers day and while there confirmed our reservation. When we got there on Sunday they did not have our reservation. I had confirmed also with you on sat night. Very disappointed, after several bad moments we were able to get a table. Will not go back
The food was absolutely delicious. The service was friendly. I will be going back
Mother’s Day brunch
A Rocky Start, but Joseph and his Manager (didn’t catch his name - originally from Chicago) “delivered the goods” as it went on. Quality food and solids bar dinning environment.
We normally really love this restaurant but this time seemed like they were having trouble with Kitchen help or wait staff. Food was delicious although barely warm. Took FOREVER and there were not many people even in the restaurant.
Awful experience. Waited 25 min for drinks that never came. When we asked about it after the 25 min we were told they were out of the ingredients. The “manager” apologized because the “place is a mess and he just took over” and said we should “come back in 2 months after he turns it around”. Not worth our time. Couldn’t believe the manager needed me for a therapy session. 0/10. Won’t be back.
14 oz ribeye mediocre at best, and grouper somewhat dry. Great service and good ambiance.
In the past we have really enjoyed this restaurant. Great food, wonderful ambience, and delicious cocktails. We had not been back since the pandemic until last week. Three of us originally ordered the wagyu beef on the salt stone. When it arrived, we could immediately tell the beef was not wagyu and after cooking it, we could barely chew through any of the pieces. They were flavorless and extremely tough. When our waiter came to check on us, we let him know that we were very unhappy with our order. He said they had recently lost their manager and chef and was sorry about the food. He had us order something different. We each ordered a completely different meal. I had crabcakes that ended up being dry and crunchy, one friend ordered the fish (which was $45!) that was cold & flavorless, and another friend ordered a steak that she said was average but definitely not worth the money. I ended up only taking two bites from my crabcake. The friend who ordered the fish ate only about a third, and our other friend ate about half of her steak. The waiter was very sweet and kept apologizing about our experience but was pretty helpless in fixing the situation. All three of us said we would not go back. Our first indication that things had changed at this restaurant should have been that it was almost completely empty at 7o’clock on a Thursday night.
This was my first visit and it did not disappoint. Just fantastic.
I ordered the crab cake. It was freezer burned and tasted so bad I had it removed from the check. The side of potatoes was served cold. My companion had shrimp and grits which she said was average. Value for the money was poor. The waitress was just fine, efficient, pleasant. I will NEVER be back. Absolutely would not recommend.
This was our first time back to Honeysuckle in a couple of years and it was a total disappointment.
After making a Reservation for Brunch we arrived on time and were greeted by a "Hostess" who interrupted our arrival by dealing with another customer who simply walked up and butted in. That was rude on a couple of levels, but threw her off, so she simply disregarded our Reservation and tried to seat us in the empty Bar Area near the front door. I'm not opposed to sitting in the Bar, but the place was empty and not even set for guests. It seemed to be her quick way to dispose of us. We asked for another table and she was able to find one.
Our server was initially very pleasant, but seemed overwhelmed from the start. She was unprepared, couldn't even get water delivered and, when she did, disappeared for over 5 minutes. When she returned we ordered Wine, but delayed our food order. The Wine showed up about 10 minutes later with one of the glasses being dirty and the bottle unchilled. I don't expect much, but it was a Sauvingnon Blanc and was literally off the shelf and warm. She opened it and poured a glass for my wife and left. I poured my own glass. I actually like pouring my own Wine - which is good - because the server never acknowledged that we even had a bottle from that point forward.
When the server finally returned (about another 10 minutes later) she took our food orders, but again, seemed fairly distracted.
After what seemed like forever our food arrived, delivered by what may have been a bus boy. He did not know who ordered what and muffed the delivery. We rearranged our own plates.
The food was room temperature and nothing special - but it's hard to know with an omelet that was rubbery, grits that were like moderately wet cold sand and soggy vegetables. They also left off the biscuits, but we probably didn;t miss anything.
I wrote "Poor Service and Mediocre Food" on the receipt, which was kind.
Don't waste your time or money.
I can always count on the food being consistently excellent. Love dining here for Sunday brunch and weekend dinner.
Was in town for the weekend and had a great time here! Our server was so fun and nice had great food and drink recommendations. Food and drinks were al amazing! Overall a great experience!!!
Could be post-Covid issues, but the service was not great and the food was subpar at best. I was disappointed since the reviews were great on here! Hopefully, it's just a pandemic recovery issue. Tried to get seating at Cork & Cow and 1799, but both were booked. Would highly recommend those two over The Honeysuckle for a fabulous meal.
We always have had a great experience at The Honeysuckle. We started out with drinks (a beer for him and bubbly for me) and the duck fat fries (always a fave of mine)! For the main course we had the 6 oz. filet which was cooked perfectly and had excellent flavor as well as the 28-day bone in wagyu ribeye along with a nice bottle of Justin Cab. We finished the night with blueberry cobbler. Our server Wayne was excellent as always!
We had a great experience!
Food was delicious and the Cosmo cocktail I had was the best I have ever had. The happy hour menu had a great selection of beer, wine, cocktails and food. The bartender, Chad, was also our waiter and treated us like family. The decor is beautiful.
Loved the Southern Comfort Food!!!
Great service and food!
Great smoked old fashion.
It is always amazing!!
Busy at the time we went, yet had great food & service. We will return!
Excellent place to eat with great food and wonderful service.
The space is beautiful. The food was incredible. Our server, Wayne, was wonderful! Our party of 7 enjoyed everything that we ordered, including some delicious cocktails. We can’t wait to return!
Our server was very nice. The Bloody Mary's were very good-perfectly spiced. Even though getting there after 3, they let us choose off of the brunch menu, which was our whole purpose in going there. Roasted cauliflower was super delicious, as was the fried chicken with potatoes and the fish tacos. Strangely the place was totally empty and we found it a little weird that on a Saturday there was no one in a restaurant that had good food and good service. But given we are from out of town maybe there was something we were unaware of going on.
I’ve always passed by the honeysuckle but had never gone in. A few coworkers were talking about it so I decided to go there from brunch for my anniversary. As soon as you walk-in the restaurant is so beautiful. It’s kind of an eclectic vibe. I was amazed they had gulf oysters, I’m from Florida so I’m always on the hunt for good oysters. When I tell you these oysters were the BIGGEST I’ve had in Nashville and they were SO delicious! My boyfriend and I started with those and a biscuit board. The biscuits were incredible. They come served with a blueberry jam, honey, and a maple butter (all locally sourced) and it was heavenly! For our meals I had the oscars Benedict! I do wish there was more crab on it, but still delicious! My boyfriend got the steak and eggs and he said they were really good! I had some mimosas for brunch, they don’t do any special deals for drinks and they were $10 a piece. I know some restaurants where you get a better deal on drinks so I would suggest skip the brunch drinks. I also wished the music was more than just an “elevator music.” Its personal preference but I do like to have actual songs when dinning out, especially for an upbeat brunch spot. Overall though it was a super great experience and I WILL be back for those 2-4-1 oysters!
We went in earlier and the host was rude to us bc we didnt have a reservation. We made one and went back an hour later. We never recieved silvereware when we were setted at table. We wanted the salt brick option on the menu. Unfortuantly that was not available. We recieved our food by the server assistant. He asked if we needed anything and we said, yea how about some forks. He looked at us like we were crazy and said let me see if I can find any. He never came back so we sat there for 3 minutes until our server came and asked hoe we like the food. We sail, it would be nice to know if we had something to eat with. I got the meatloaf. I was super dry and I was not a fan of the tomoto sauce on top. My mother in law got the duck and that too was very dry. She tried to eat it but was unable to so we brought it home for the dogs to eat. Margaritas WAY to sweet. Very sad about our experience as we were very impressed with the menu and this was our first time there. Not sure I will ever come back to pay so much money for dry food and terrible customer service.
We arrived for our 7:15 reservation. We were greeted and seated immediately. Our server was friendly and attentive. We ordered the charcuterie board appetizer. It was very good. The pacing of our meal was very slow but we enjoyed the time to talk at the table. I ordered the pork shank and she ordered the duck confit. I felt that our plates had been sitting in the window for sometime before serving. The grits on our plates were not soft but had cooler to a solid congealed lump. The sprouts were amazing and while our meats were well prepared, they lacked seasoning. I saw no signs of any seasonings on our proteins. The pork au jus was very greasy and not very flavorful. So much potential but just missed on the details.
An enjoyable experience. Excellent service. Very high quality food and beverage options. The atmosphere was very relaxing and conducive for good conversation.
Service was outstanding. Food was salty and pork chops were very fatty. Shrimp and grits tasty but very salty. Wine was good. Not a good value.
Great food, great atmosphere, and great service. Couldn’t ask for a better restaurant to celebrate a special occasion!
The food was amazing as always 7s our server Brian was excellent!
Food took almost an hour and waitress hardly checked in with us. Also was told when I made the reservation that there would be a brinch buffet for Easter Sunday and there was not.
Excellent food and service. Love this gem!
Absolutely wonderful experience. Our waiter was very nice and did a fantastic job. We will definitely be back when we visit Franklin again.
My mother and I haven’t seen each other since covid. We both have had vaccines so wanted to meet and eat at a fairly quiet place. That fit the match but the food was not wonderful. It was cold like had sat waiting to be served. We realize things are not back to their normal state so we excused the food and enjoyed the company.
