We had the 10 and 14 oz. dinners, cooked perfect. The portions were larger than ordered and the leftovers a great addition to our breakfast at home the next day. Pricing was a real bargain for food quantity and quality. Service was excellent. Didn’t realize this was in our back yard. We’ll be eating here more in our future.

My bride and I were celebrating our 5th anniversary and we wanted to return to the Hill Top where we held our reception. We were not disappointed. The staff were both efficient and friendly and the food was outstanding. We both had the pork tenderloin and it was delicious. Our server (Brittney) was very attentive and had a wonderful personality. The atmosphere was very nice with the beautiful Christmas decorations and the melodic tunes on the piano being played in the background. They were absolutely slammed that evening and we were worried about how the service and food quality would be. We had our Grands with us on their first visit. Hilltop exceeded our expectations. This is our new go to place!!!!! The Grands loved it and want to go back!

It has been a long time since I've been to the Hilltop. I took my mom on a Tuesday evening in December and we had a wonderful time. The food was delicious, prices were fair, the server was phenomenal, and the place was beautiful and decorated for the holidays. We started with the crab and spinach dip and it was good and the pita bread was amazing! It was a little crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, buttery, and warm. We split the filet mignon entree which came with a salad and 2 sides. Everything was delicious, especially the steak. You also get rolls for the table. I got a glass of the Clos Cabernet and it was really good, especially with the steak. Our server was so nice and attentive. She boxed what we didn't eat and made sure we were through with each course before bringing the next one. It was pretty empty, but I already have plans to return.

We went here for our 42nd Anniversary and are so glad we did. The food and service were outstanding. I had a filet and my wife had the mediterranean chicken and both were cooked perfect. Our server Auralee was amazing. We never had to ask for fillups for our drinks and everything was served in a timely manner. The restaurant is just beautiful. We will be back !!

The service was not good, although the waitress was sweet. Maybe this was because there was a wedding, but when it takes 15 minutes for the hostess to greet you , you’d hope things would be better. Unfortunately not the case! Overly salty undercooked food., a lot was inedible. We didn’t even bother asking for a manager seeing it was so hard to find our waitress for more water. Will not try again

We came here after taking a tour for our wedding that we want here, and after eating the food, we were sold! The pork tenderloin was one of the best things I've ever had. Even the sides were spectacular. You can tell everything is homemade with care. I can't wsit for our wedding guests to dine here!

I had very high expectations based on website photos. Was very disappointed in overall appearance of venue - parking was a nightmare & the entire place needs a serious overhaul & update…..seriously in disrepair. Reminded me of Grey Gardens. On a positive note, food & service was very good. Although the meal was good, I have no plans to return since facility is in such disrepair…..it’s too bad, as I imagine it was beautiful when it was taken better care of.

Took my fiancé and her family to this amazing restaurant for her birthday celebration. Chef Chad and his staff fails to disappoint as they are amazing by every measure and a special shout out to Jackie, event planner and pastry chef personified, as she created a carrot cake, vegan style I might add, for Debbie’s dessert and family celebration. Everybody at the table except Debbie, who is a vegan, raved about this carrot cake as I asked my brother visiting who loves carrot cake what his thoughts were and he said and I quote it was the best carrot cake he’s ever eaten, Debbie also took this carrot cake to work as there were plenty of leftovers as Jackie had made an amazing size cake for us and shared it with her school teacher friends and they were mesmerized and amazed at the flavor and taste of this amazing dessert. I highly recommend this restaurant for any dining occasion but if you’re looking for a great birthday celebration for a vegan family member. , Or any family member for that matter, chef C had and his staff can just dazzle you with your magical culinary delights. This is a must stop for anybody visiting Jacksonville or looking for an amazing culinary experience provided by an incredible staff. The picture is the creation chef Chad and Jackie put together for Debbie’s birthday meal. Once again, there are not enough words to express my gratitude and thanks for this amazing establishment and the staff that governs it’s experiences

We were looking for something outside a chain restaurant to celebrate our anniversary. The experience and atmosphere was so good we felt like it could be our go to spot for date night. The location is unassuming so you could think that your at the wrong location. Walking in we fell in love with the old charm and the piano player providing great ambiance. The food was perfectly cooked as ordered (the mashed sweet potatoes surprise hit), service was great and the experience fairly reasonable price wise. We had prime rib & a filet with two sides rolls & salads for under $100. The only miss of the evening was our water & soda drinks were never refilled even though the server checked on us numerous times and offered adult beverages. We will definitely be coming back to enjoy more great food.

Brittney (our Wait Staff) was absolutely wonderful and very attentive. The decor was very rustic and a little worn but cozy! It actually reminded us of The Northampton Inn in, Northampton, MA which we visited frequently. The food was delicious and plentiful. The parking left a lot to be desired but we will go again.

It has been years since I last been at the Hilltop, and now that I think about it, I suppose the food never left a lasting impression. The food was VERY underwhelming and under seasoned. When a restaurant has a very select list of entrées to choose from, I expect expert execution of those said dishes… after all, these are the dishes that you should do better than anyone else, within reason. The drinks were good, the place seemed clean, everyone was friendly, but the food was just so bland.

Another amazing night at the hilltop with a vegan meal that wash fit for an absolute vegan king or queen. Chef Chad, as usual, went above and beyond our expectations with a dazzling meal that are new friends to hilltop absolutely loved and admired. The she crab soup along with all of the other meals were absolutely amazing.. Thanks again as we become a vocal voice box for the quality, graciousness and friendliness of your fine staff along with your culinary expertise in preparation of our meals… You folks are simply amazing….

Absolutely amazing evening at the Hilltop as Chef Chad created a meal for my fiancé, that is a vegan,that was five star and absolutely one of the best meals she has had while dining out here in Jacksonville. He came to the table to ensure her that he read everything on the memo that I had sent to the restaurant and discussed in detail all of the vegetables along with the tofu that he had planned for her. It came out absolutely amazing as you can see in the picture. I highly recommend this restaurant if you’re looking for an amazing culinary evening as well as great ambience and a friendly staff that’ll make this a night to remember. Thank you Chef Chad as you are truly amazing and so is this Restaurant… We will be seeing you again real soon and for countless other times with friends so that they can enjoy a night like we’ve had here at the Hilltop

Mother’s Day Brunch was lovely. Though busy we were greeted and seated immediately. We were directed to a well appointed buffet soon after our drinks were served. The carving station provided generous and well prepared roast beef and the boiled shrimp was plentiful and large. Clearly, extra, less experienced servers were working as our dirty plates were not removed until requested and fresh silverware not offered w/dessert. My diabetic husband had no sugar free options on the dessert table. The ambiance at the Hilltop is delightful w/period pieces and Old Florida architecture, lush gardens and pool area and live piano music providing a pleasant background to conversation.

Our experience was Awful! We had reservations for three at 5:30PM. Once we arrived on time our table was given to another party. They had to give us a a card table to use for dinner which was shoved in a corner. Our dish-ware(glasses) were DIRTY! The waitress Christie was very apologetic however after 2 hours of waiting we did not receive our food. We ask what was the hold up and it took several times of asking before we were told our order got mixed up with a large party. My husband asked to speak with the manager prior and they said she was in the kitchen and she did not have time to come out an address our concerns. The entire restaurant was eating their meals when we left after 2 hours of not receiving our food. LEANNE THE MANAGER NEEDS TO TAKE CUSTOMER COMPLAINTS SERIOUSLY AND RESPOND WITHIN A TIMELY FASHION! LEANNE PURPOSELY IGNORED OUR CONCERNS AND NEVER CAME OUT TO SPEAK WITH US. This was not our first time at this restaurant and we wanted to take our oldest daughter out for a wonderful dinner however we will never return again!
