The Hickory Lodge
Even though the servers were lovely and accommodating, the live music was too loud and the food was a little bit to be desired. Not a fan.
I enjoy food. I don’t enjoy the live music. It’s way to loud while having dinner. Can’t talk to people at table. If it was just a bar scene might be different. Even people at bar seem not to be paying attention to the live music either. Everyone just tells to talk with each other. Dancing and drinking and loud music go together. Dinner with friends isn’t when this music is wanted. My opinion.
Great place to gather for friends and family- good food, reasonable prices, cute ambiance! It was a bit busier and noisier than I had thought for a weeknight- but that is a credit to the popularity of the restaurant!
Prime rib special is always good. Feeds 2.
Great food nice sized portions
Fresh meat - burgers chicken sandwiches
Drinks come in individual pitchers
Great for groups
Split everyone’s check
Awesome fries! Way better tasting than mount Washingtons tavern who also has Good fries but these are even better
Applebee’s prices with better quality food
Firepit outside with live music in nice weather.
Definitely go here!! I can’t wait to go back.
2nd time visiting this restaurant, just as good as the first.
We’ve found a new “go to” restaurant for the area. Prices were reasonable, food good and service was excellent!
Always a great experience
love the rustic atmosphere. great fireplace in winter and nice outdoor area in summer. good food. get there early, tends to get busy
Food is always good. Prime rib is great. Wish you had kept chicken dish Longhorn on menu. Server Eren was excellent.
The staff was laid back and friendly yet still efficient
We had a great meal. Our family enjoyed their time. Good beer on tap. The server was very sweet to our kids. Overall excellent experience.
BBQ chicken wraps were very good and do was the potatoes salad. Was very happy with the French onion soup as many are very salty. This was not and it was delicious !
It was a fairly quiet evening and the rustic ambience is really nice. Service was good. Rockfish bites were terrific and our burgers very good. Fun drink menu with emphasis on rum drinks. Only comment is the need for better table clearing and cleaning between customers. It looked quickly done with a casual swipe of the top leaving too many crumbs and trash under the table. Overall good place to go.
The food was delicious especially the rockfish appetizers. The live music and then DJ played all types of music. We sat on the outside patio which was perfect to have conversations and drinks. Joey the Manager and Aaron our waiter checked on us all the time to ensure our evening was running smooth which it was all night. Highly recommend.
My family adores The Lodge! We crave their rockfish bites, crabby fries, grilled romaine salad...we discover a new favorite every time we visit. Beverages are served in small pitchers (LOVE!) and individual French press coffee service. Service is always friendly and professional. Food is always delivered piping hot (or cold if appropriate) and well-seasoned. I travel an hour to meet my family at The Lodge!
Had a delicious steak dinner. Would recommend to all if you enjoy a good steak!
Service was good.
Service was great, the food was incredible for the price. You need to get the lava cake for dessert , it's fantastic.
Food was good as always. Server was good. Have had her as a server many times. Very nice and personable. She’s blond and very good server. Don’t remember name.
The burger I got was great: juicy and tasty! Sat at a booth by the bar. Although there was music and slight TV noishe, it did not interrupt a normal level conversation. I would recommend eating here!
My wife, my brother and his wife and my oldest grandson took my Mother out for her 80th birthday. The food was great, our waitress was very good and we enjoyed it immensely
We went for a early Mother's Day dinner and the service was amazing! The variety of food was pleasing to everyone in our party and it all tasted good. We had 4 kids in our party and the server was kind enough to ask if we would like the kids meals to come out first and they even provided mats and crayons to help keep them entertained. The atmosphere was exactly like you were in a ski lodge and was very warm and inviting. They have both an inside and outside bar as well as a large dining area. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone.
Went for mothers day brunch. Only 1599 including great omelet station. A bit noisy and too cold near the door
Food is always good. Service was great. Young female sever was very attentive and pleasant. Noise wasn’t so bad because there wasn’t live music. Yay! Could have conversation at a normal tone.
Food was outstanding. Particularly loved the rockfish bites and the wings. Service was exceptional, each course arrived just as we were finishing the prior course. I would highly recommend the Hickory Lodge for an evening out with friends.
Food is usually great as it was this time too. Servers were friendly. One in training did a great job. Attentive. No band so noise wasn’t quiet as loud. Good for us. We go out to chat and hate extra loud music.
I made reservations for 2, and asked for a booth in the 4 booth area, if possible. Because it was Easter, I didn't really think we would get one of those big booths, but we did! We just like that area because it's a bit more quiet, since it's away from the bar. Our waitress was Kelsey, and boy did we luck out with her! She was amazing...so attentive and full of suggestions. The food came very quickly and was great, as always. Kelsey had suggested that we save room for the chef's specialty cheesecake, so we did that, and asked for a box to take home what was still on our plates. The take home box had a cover for the dipping sauce and this is the first time I've ever gotten a small bag to put the box in. Very nice added touch. Kelsey was right about the cheesecake. It was delicious!
It was a little chilly in there.
Seated right away and in an area away from live music. Near fire place but there was a draft coming from some place. I assume the air vents right above us. Sever was just ok. Not very attentive and seemed to be in a hurry. When she took order armed to be in a rush. When coming to see if everything was going ok and to see if food was ok. Again she was in and out so quick couldn’t add to order. Overall though as usual food was great. A little noisy due to band but expect it for ice been here many times. Hard to have conversation though at table.
Great crab dip, charming atmosphere, will definitely come back!
I made an online reservation, the day before, for 9 guests at 12:45 on the President's Day holiday. I wrote in the comments that we would be having 5 preteens and 4 adults and would like to have booths next to each other, if possible. When we arrived, I could see the two booths already set up, with small plates, napkins and silverware...PERFECT! We ended up having one more adult join us, but the booths are so roomy, the 5 of us fit with plenty of room to spare. Our waitress was Danny (Danielle?) and she was terrific. Dealing with people arriving at 4 different times isn't easy, but she was as nice as she could be. Definitely someone I would recommend for handling larger groups. She paid as much attention to the kids as she did the adults. The food was delicious, as always. Everyone had a great time!
Food was okay, I was on a date so I decided to splurge and get the filet (Valentine’s Day special) it sucked. Was very bland and a waste of money. Would not recommend getting a steak there. Service was fine food came out quickly, almost too quickly, I imagine the steak was just reheated. My date enjoyed her food. The place was very nice and accommodating, cozy decorations made you feel like you were in a ski lodge. I would go back, just not on a date night, to try the burgers wraps and other bar foods.
We were seated promptly. Service and meal were both great. We will definitively be bsck.
Our only complaint Is we had a 6pm reservation for Valentine’s Day, upon arrival we were told there was another reservation following us at 7:10, this made our night out feel a bit rushed.
Food is average but service was awesome!!
This was our first visit to Hickory Lodge and it was super busy even at 4:30 in the afternoon but then again it was Valentines Day. We were seated in the bar and it was extremely noisy. Tuna appetizer was good but not sashimi quality. Meal portions were fair for the price.
It has been a few years since we ate at the Lodge, and we were pleasantly surprised at how much it has grown. The seafood entree was absolutely delicious as well as the prime rib special. Our waitress was very friendly and pleasant and knew the menu well. We will definitely return to try other meals.
Excellent food. Enjoyed the night. Had a reservation and arrived earlier than planned. We were seated right away Thanks!
I brought my fiancé out to the Hickory Lodge for a special birthday dinner and to propose to her. The staff went out of their way to help make it a wonderful night for us. The food came out hot and was very delicious, and everyone was above and beyond friendly and helpful. Without a doubt this is now our favorite restaurant and they have earned two customers for life. We will be back for date nights and most certainly make it a yearly tradition for her birthday.
This was our 1st time at The Lodge and it won’t be our last! We made a reservation on Open Table and we were seated, immediately upon checking in! Our waitress, Danni was very pleasant. The food was delicious. My husband and I shared the fresh mozzarella bites (the dipping sauce was superb), he had the ribs (tasty but he said a little on the dry side) and I had the Twin Peaks Chicken (so yummy!) Great place for our date night.
