The Herb Box - Old Town

We were 10 minutes early for our reservation, waited to be seated, received menus. Much had changed since last at previous location. No waiter or server came to greet us or even say hello, or ask about drinks. Waited about 35 minutes and walked out --- never to return again!!!!!!!!
Delicious meal and great service. We sat inside, but I really like the patio seating.
Food was great as usual. We didn't see our server until we had been seated 10 minutes.
Even better than the one at the waterfront but miss tables by water.
Great little find! So many fantastic choices on the menu.
The Thai ribs were flavorless. I think they had been boiled prior to saucing and slight grilling. The macaroni and cheese served with the ribs was Luke warm and did not taste cooked. The tomato artichoke soup special was fabulous! The restaurant was so noisy we found it hard to talk. My elderly mother couldn’t hear anything. Overall, I would not go back. I was so disappointed because in the past I had heard good things about the restaurant.
Our poor waitress was very busy but served us well. Food was weird but quite good. The ladies at the table loved it. The boys were looking for anything close to chicken fingers. They made us try it and it was pretty good. Not chicken fingers good. But good. I did have the salmon crab cakes which were awesome.
Unfortunately, we did not enjoy our New Years Eve dinner here. Everything was described as phenomenal. The burger was dry & hard. They charged us $5 to cut it in half. It was supposed to have Brie in it, but it appeared just like a light coating of mayo.
Their famed Brussels were so greasy my husband wouldn’t eat them.
Perhaps it was an off night, but we were highly disappointed.
Delicious food. Nice server. Too noisy. Nothing to absorb the sound
Our server was helpful and efficient. We started off with two orders of the crispy brussels sprouts, yum! Three of us had the blackened steak, done to perfection and delicious. The other two had salads, one with steak...both loved them. We will be back when we are in the “Old Town” area.
Chicken was so tough and dry , I tried two bites. I was still charged for my meal, unbelievable!
Everything was good but much to noisy for us to have a conversation ..
I suggested the Herb Box to enjoy a last dinner out with my friends visiting from Australia. It was a Tuesday and the restaurant was not busy yet our service was not exceptional and all of our food arrived luke warm. It was disappointing and with all our restaurant options in old town Scottsdale I felt horribly responsible for the restaurant selection.
The restaurant is a little stark/minimalistic when you enter but the food is delicious and very well prepared.
Group dinner. New location threw me off but still pleasant, comfortable and not too bad on the noise level. Food for all parties was excellent, serving size very good and prices absolutely reasonable. One of my favorite spots.
Love the new location and look!
Herb Box continues to be one of my favorite, go-to restaurants.
We’re snowbirds and I “dream about” the Vegan Nosh. Disappointed that the edamame has disappeared from the mix but I still love the crispy kale and crispy Brussels sprouts. The bar-menu pizza was yummy.
The food was good but the service was incredibly slow. Since this was a business lunch break it made late back to work.
Excellent lunch place. Don't miss the Brussels Sprouts Chips!
Food, service and total experience was wonderful! Even got a fabulous birthday cupcake!!!
"Too expensive, simple food." Parking in the area is a nightmare!
Our server was great! The food was awesome and the food was excellent!
Great! Friendly service. Good tasting, creative food choices.
Service was very friendly but kind of slow. The server didn’t check with us at all to see how our meal was. Fish was over cooked and a little bland. Definitely needs more seasoning.
Solid food and a fair price. Great service, awesome new location.
Initial wait for service was quite long. Drink menus printed so small they are barely legible. Burned out light bulbs on the patio make reading any menu at night problematic. Bar ran out of 2 ingredients needed to make the cocktails we were drinking. One hamburger cooked so well it was like a tire. Asked for a redo and it took so long to remake everyone else at the table was done with their meal. Food was tasty but not hot. Maybe it was an off night for The Herb Box - I hope so - I have had enjoyable meals in their other locations.
My wife and I went for dinner last night and thoroughly enjoyed the evening. The food was quite good and fell into the "healthy-ish" category. Not crazy healthy (it tasted good). The chicken was excellent. Yes! Really! The service was also good. My only complaint is the parking. Get there early as parking is not plentiful, especially a Saturday night. I parked at the Mall next to Nordstrom. The walk was okay.
Great new spot!
Outstanding at every level
Excellent food and service
Overall experience was good, but not great. We sat inside and music was too loud for conversation. We asked if it could be turned down but they didn’t. Probably was better outside. Waiter was attentive in the beginning but then got several more tables and seemed a bit too busy. He left trash sitting on our table until I asked another young man to take it. Food was good. We really enjoyed the Gorgonzola flat bread pizza. Jasmine iced tea was excellent.
Love the new location.
Food was very good as was our waitress. Don not pass on the OMG Pie, it was the best thing!
I'll be back..The butternut squash enchiladas very good! Vegan & vegetarian entrees.....
Although confirmed on Open Table, the Herb Box didn't have a record of our reservation. The salmon was very thin and dried out. The Herb Box's new location does not have the same degree of elegance as before.
Vegetarian items were fabulous. The squash enchiladas were the best I’ve ever eaten. Great, welcoming service.
The Herb Box moved from the canal location to an interior street location. back patio now faces a few small offices. Ambiance is terrible and still the same soiled cushions from their old location. A shame as food is good.
Sat outside. Ambiance nice. Burger was slightly chewy, not sure why. Server gave us another tables bill and gave some lame excuse. Would not go back
Wait staff didn’t rush us and very attentive. Lovely celebration.
We love the brunch here! Inside can be loud, the out door patio is great and quieter. Really cute decor and excellent food. We have had the French toast and buckwheat pancakes both delicious sweet breakfast options, they both come with bacon which is nice, most brunch places charge extra to add a protein but it cones standard here. I Always get the steak and eggs it’s delicious too. Five dollar mimosas and bloody Mary’s on the weekend brunch which is awesome. Never have had a bad meal here or at the old location, definitely recommend.
Food is delicious. Nice menu options and atmosphere. Definitely recommend.
We sat outside. Was a little chilly and it had rained earlier - cushions and tables were damp so took a while to get comfortable. I worry restaurant hasn’t been busy since it moved to new location. Food is unbelievably good - butternut squash enchiladas can’t be beat!
