Whilst most places stayed shut, we stayed open and teamed up with Sam Heughan (Outlander) to win Best Burger USA 2020. It's The Jacobite Burger and only available to Open Table members.
With a new patio overlooking the Perkins esplanade and Best Date Night accolade this is the most romantic spot in the city.
We have a Scottish menu, extensive Single Malt Scotch list and over 15 Scottish crafts beers - this is a Scottish Imbibers heaven!
Expect a warm welcome from Kilt clad staff.
Join us for a Scotch fans heaven, we call it Dram Night and it's every Saturday at 9,.30pm.
We have x4 drams for $30 and a guided tasting with Haven owner and Scotch lover Jason Waddleton.
The Haven Burger

Vegetable succotash, smashed potato, mustard greens w/ lemon aioli
Sticky Toffee Pudding
Great place for outdoor brunch with the kids.
Nice local eatery with a good weekend brunch, though menu limited due to Covid.
Quaint atmosphere and interesting scotch cocktails. The best burgers!
So so good!!! Everyone was very friendly and fish + chips were delicious!! The Shepard’s pie was not the best and had undercooked raw carrots!
Would recommend this place to everyone
We went to try the well-reviewed burger, which was truly fabulous if a little heavy at 8 oz. — a 6-oz. burger at the same price would be just as satisfying and would have left room for an extra whisky at the end (which we wanted but were too full to muster).
The seafood plate was good but not great — the reason I'm rating the food a 4 instead of a 5. The thick-cut beet-cured smoked salmon was lackluster — a disappointing miss for a Scottish spot.
The whisky selection is very good. We each had a lovely Bruichladdich.
Our server was fantastic — friendly, attentive and super-polite.
The ambience is spot-on. I lived in Scotland for four years — and this is a very faithful interpretation of a Scottish pub. The side-street situation gives the place a pleasant neighborhood vibe. And, there's even a lovely ivy-clad brick wall across the street that one can see through the big picture windows.
There's more on the food and whisky menus that we want to try — so, we definitely will be making a return trip. But, if we opt for the burger again, we'll probably split it.
Fabulous brunch today for 12! Service on point. The Haven always makes you feel welcome and special.
Unique dishes with a Scottish flair. Hit the spot.
Best burger in Boston! Hands down! Best place to go for a cozy drink and hearty meal.
Excellent service, pleasant ambience, comforting and tasty food make Tge Haven a very good spot for dinner with friends.
We always have a meal at The Haven when visiting Boston, even if that means taking public transportation or an Uber from our Financial District hotel.
The decor is truly unique and genuine, and the food is terrific. While there are many interesting and excellent offerings on the menu, it is hard to ignore the Scottish Salmon, which may be the tastiest we have ever had. The single malt scotch and ales offerings are extensive and interesting
Great place and you can reserve outdoor seating. Food is very good and unique.
Limited brunch menu, missing many of my old favorites, and lacking basic breakfast/lunch items.
Service was very good, as usual. Prices are up, but so is everywhere else. Hoping they can get some dishes back on the menu soon.
The Haven never disappoints. We love introducing friends to this hidden gem.
Wonderful to be able to eat outside and enjoy the neighborhood buzz, as well as the great food and service. A treasure in JP.
I love The Haven and brought a friend who had never been there. We enjoyed two kinds of Crabbie’s, bridies, white pudding, shepherds pie and a deep fried Mars Bar. Lovely night to eat on the patio and catch up.
Great food! Specially the burger!
I had the “haggis” which I confirmed upon check-in was made “in house”. From the host to the server my overall experience was excellent. Highly recommend this place, will certainly be back when I’m in Boston again.
Always nice staff, excellent scotch.
Great fresh food, desserts. The drinks are perfect, not already mixed and great selection of whiskey and beer.Warm and friendly ambiance
I love the Haven! It has some great Scottish food with a lovely ambiance. They have a lot of outdoor seating, plus inside depending on your comfort. All the staff are friendly and the service was great.
Ate outside and it was the perfect evening. Friendly and knowledgeable staff, great food and the best whiskey selection probably in all of New England. What's not to love?
You can’t go wrong at The Haven! Delicious, fresh food in a welcoming, fun atmosphere.
The Haven was, as always, delicious and the staff wonderful. Sunday morning traffic was a little louder than usual, but fleeting. Did not affect our time there.
Wanted a simple but tasty place for brunch, and this fit the bill! We got a few sandwiches, a Scotch egg, some eggs benedict, and a French toast. All were tasty and generous portions (my partner and I had enough for a second small meal/snack later).
You may want to order something green and light on the side, as the food is rich!
The service could've been more attentive. I kept having to flag down a server.
Good and Service are Excellent. Outside seating option is great but some noise due to traffic.
A hidden gem! Fantastic food, famous Scottish hospitality, great single malts on hand, a great local pub, in the truest sense.
It is a great place, best food, real and best drinks, friendliest people. You can not get a better place with such a pleasant enjoyable environment. We are lucky to have such a restaurant in our neighborhood.
Always have brunch here with my friend Christine. For dinner I would have Crabbie’s but for brunch it is strictly mimosas (and mimosas and…). Perhaps a wee dram at dinner too. Love the people and the food and the service. Slainte!
I am very grateful the Haven is in JP, where I live. The burger is fantastic. The seafood platter was so so good. The atmosphere is so special, very authentic and casual. You feel you can be yourself, and kick it with your pals. The service is great. I highly recommend the Haven to anyone and everyone.
Our waitress (Diane?) was fabulous -- so attentive and lovely. Good with pacing.. Disappointed there was no haggis or Irn-Bru, but it happens.
Never disappointed. This is what a pub should be!
Good food. Great waitress. Quick turnaround
Fun place to hang out and escape the rain. It was very loud in there and hard to hold a conversation.
So happy to return to the aptly-named "The Haven" after a Pandemic break. It truly is an old world haven from modern life. A great place to sample and learn about the magic of scotch with great dining options.
The burger is as good as everyone says. If you're curious about scotch, the servers are happy to educate you.
Ordered a scotch egg and the haven burger to split with my girlfriend and when it came they had split it onto two plates without us even asking, that made me really happy. Shows they care. Service was good too, though a little more attention would have been appreciated.
Love this place. Relatively spartan in decor, but still feels very warm, welcoming, and above all British. For brunch, have bridies and a Scotch egg to start, and do not miss the smoked fish cakes with luscious poached eggs on top.
Food delicious and staff friendly and knowledgeable
