The reason we chose this restaurant was the location, right off the Edens Expressway, making it convenient for guests driving from the city. We had two young children with us. The food was good but not fabulous. Service was friendly and helpful.
Food quality has diminished greatly since the place opened. Used to be all freshly made. Ordered veggie burger which I expected would be a housemade patty with real vegetables. Patty was a commercial frozen patty made of “fake meat” deep fried. Patty was tasteless and rubbery. Coleslaw also was creamy but devoid of flavor. Shame on Happ Inn for believing that clients do not care. Menu is screaming for more vegetables and healthier options. Ugh.
My husband and I had a pleasant evening with a good meal
Excellent food. This place gets very busy, especially on Saturday nights, so a reservation is a must.
Great seats in the bar area to watch the Loyola game. Spacious and well decorated and just a great overall environment for kids , parents and people of all ages.
We had birthday lunch and the service was perfect. Would definitely return birthday / weekend fun.
The food is delicious. My two favorites are: the trio for lunch and their grilled salmon is the best.
The owner and maître d’ was very rude upon arriving. He didn’t want to offer us his “highly sought out booths” because we did not specifically requested in a reservation. It wasn’t what he said it’s how he said it. This is not the first occasion this occurred and he was quite rude. Furthermore the service was fair it took 18 minutes for anyone to it knowledge on us and even pour ice water or to even ask us about our ordering. Overall I was hesitant to come here because of past experiences in this experience sealed the deal we will not return. Many people feel the same way
Too cold need to turn up the HEAT!!
We were given the worst table in the restaurant. Very frustrating.
The HAPP Inn is always a pleasant dining experience for a couple or family gathering or a group of friends!!! The menu is always as several options for everyone in your party!!!
I hadn't been to Happ in a while. The quality of the food and service hasn't declined at all. Saw Carlos working hard as usual.
Gluten free menu was terrifi
As always, great food and great service!
Every time we have dined at Happ Inn it has been a pleasure. Food is delicious and creative, service is over the top, ambiance is comfortable and inviting.
Our server was just great, our food was good it really wasn't noisy. We had a great time there. We plan on going back again.
Excellent if you have allergies. Each server carries a complete list of the ingredients in each item from the menu. The order is flagged as it gets entered into the computer and then again by the chef.
We always have a great meal at Happ Inn. It is our go to restaurant.
The waitress, Pam, is outstanding! Food is always good!
Roasted chicken one of the best I have ever had.
Great for a business lunch- or lunch with friends. Good food- good service.
I had the grass fed burger which I’ve had before. It was the same price but much smaller.
As usual the Happ Inn was bustling on a Saturday night
the menu has great choices
portions large- food fresh and nicely presented
In particular, my Southwestern Salad was interesting and flavorful
our server was attentive and prompt
Not a place for intimate conversation or gracious dining- but you can count on a yummy meal that comes when expected, prepared according to expectations
Our waitress, Pam, was outstanding! Outgoing, attentive, upbeat and an overall pleasure to talk to!
Our group of 6 enjoyed the relaxed feel of the restaurant. It was quiet enough to hear our conversation yet loud enough so as not to hear conversations at other tables. Great variety of menu choices. I loved the Willow Salad and everyone in our group raved about their menu choices. We will definitely return for another great evening. Menu prices varied to fit any budget. Service was friendly and did not feel rushed.
Our favorite North Shore "neighborhood" place. Service is always good. Pam is the best server ever!
He has raised his prices
great menu outstanding staff....Carlos ROCKS!!!!
We eat here somewhat regularly however this time our server was pretty gruff. My friend wanted the chicken and asked if she could have broccoli instead of the potatoes and vegetables. The server said no—-this is what is offered. My friend ended up getting the blackened chicken salad instead. Most restaurants are very happy to make substitutions. It’s not that it wasn’t allowed it was also the way it was said.
We always enjoy The Happ Inn. Pleasant atmosphere, wonderful staff, great food. A pleasure!
Crab tower mediocre - bland
Fish tacos could have been warmer
Was it because it was valentines??
This is the second time that we have had the same disagreeable wait person, which makes the experience unpleasant.
LOVE Happ Inn go there often Only downside was too cold. Had to ask twice for them to turn up the heat. Still too chilly
Our server Pam was awesome - helpful, attentive and has a wonderful personality.
Had a great time. Server was excellent as was the food. Were seated in the far back room which was not my first choice but it turned out just fine. Definitely recommended.
We had a wonderful time. Food is great along with the service. One of my favorite restaurants.
As always, delicious food and great service.
Good value for the money. Love the social scene. We usually eat in the bar area and like it lively!
Excellent service and great food. Our server was outstanding, especially in her interaction with the kids at our table. Everyone enjoyed their soup and dessert and all but one (me) enjoyed their entrees. SO disappointed that their amazing house-made falafel/black bean veggie burger has been removed from the menu. It was a unique and delicious vegetarian option and its replacement really falls short. Our family will still return as it's a neighborhood favorite but now my vegetarian options are limited to salad.
