Food was good, service was good!! Thank you Happ Inn!
The hamburger was smaller and not as tasty as we recall. Usually its our favorite hamburger!
The waitress was not focused.
I mentioned an olive oil allergy which she never marked on the order.
We had to ask repeatedly for things.
The Happ Inn continues to be one of the Best Eating Experiences in the North Shore!!!!
Food and service were great. We received just the right amount of attention from the wait staff without feeling pressured or smothered. It was a little on the noisy side but not too obnoxious.
Always an enjoyable dining experience. Never disappointed.
We always enjoy the Happ Inn. Consistently good food. Nice eclectic menu. Good service.
Reservation honored promptly. Service very slow but food very good.
Our server was excellent - I wish I could remember his name. :(. He helped my mom find a perfect drink for her. Malibu rum and pineapple. Dinner was perfect!!
What a charming restaurant. A very nice menu with a lot of choices. I had a salad which was wonderful! The fish and chips were also ordered and were great!
Perfectly prepared and beautifully presented and served guacamole and burgers. Service was attentive, friendly, but not intrusive. Quiet enough to have a meaningful conversation. Easy parking. Great location.
Wsiter either needs more training or a better memory
Love this place. I just have one complaint. My husband and I ordered 2 things and we wanted to share them both. Our server said there would be a $3 sharing fee. This is ridiculous. This is a family restaurant and should accommodate sharing request.
Every meal ordered was delicious. All four enjoyed our meal and service.
There were four diners and we all came away with the same opinion. The fish smelled fishy; we ordered halibut and salmon; Small portions and high prices. Service was quick. May not try again.
The food was bad and the grass fed burger was the worst hamburger I have ever eaten. The service was very slow and it was very noisy. The waiter had our checks messed up and they were wrong.
Excellent menu with a huge selection. We had the skirt steak, grilled whitefish and chicken enchiladas--all outstanding. Started with the fresh gazpacho made with yellow tomatoes--off the charts delicious. Half price wine bottles on Wednesday. What's not to like. We always enjoy the food and service here, sometimes it just gets to darned noisy to have a comfortable and relaxed conversation over dinner. We were in a back room this trip which was much quieter. I'll asked to be seated there in the future.
The food was simply terrible.
Enjoyed our dinner
Had a Margarita very good
Nice Saturday brunch vibe. Special omelette had great ingredients but was dry. Service was attentive but nothing special.
Wonderful service,charming server.!
Grouperfresh and delicious.
Terrible service. Had to ask for everything from water to taking our order. We are or were regulars and this experience has decreased our likelihood of returning.
Tried a few new things...really enjoyed the spaghetti with grilled chicken and balsamic sauce. Also loved the Brussels sprouts and the "tamal." Excellent mango mojito (better, in my opinion than the margaritas). Kids enjoyed their burgers and cheese pizzas...adults liked their burgers, soups and salads. Nice neighborhood place with reliably good food, usually good service and a good variety of menu selections. Noise can be "energetic" but not nearly as loud as many places - and you can always converse. I wouldn't make a special trip to come here, but it's a good option if you are in the neighborhood.
I had the Friday special, Crab cakes. The outside was crusty and the inside mushy. Just terrible! Am spoiled by Florida Crab cakes. The vegetables were very good. Will never order those again.
Super salads! Should have chosen to eat outside.
Great choice for us. We had a baby in a buggy, and we were given a table with plenty of space for the 6 of us and the stroller. The ambiance was friendly and casual and energetic enough that if the baby made a few cries before we could take him outside, no one seemed to notice.
Our server was very competent and attentive, although she was strangely reserved. Also the bus backup was excellent.
The menu was varied. We have lots of different restrictions among our group which is common nowadays, and there was something for everyone on the menu (crabcakes, various burgers, pasta, and more).
The fried calamari appetizer was great. The corn bread was good, but not the best.
The entree that of whole wheat pasta with chicken and spinach (and a few other ingredients) and balsamic vinegar sauce was the perfect choice for one of our party.
The two desserts we shared were outstanding! Chocolate cake and banana cream pie. The pie was not on the menu but our server alerted us to it.
We will be back. The desserts closed the deal for us.
We received friendly greetings entering and leaving the restaurant.
Always a great dining experience
Very reliable for good food decent service ample parking reasonable selection of beer
We would never return to this restaurant again. The portions were small and overpriced. Example: 10 brussels sprouts as a side dish for $6.95. There are a lot better places to go for dinner on the NorthShore.
Very crowded but service not so good seemed neglected. Two of us Ordered roast beef au juice and came out cold ordered well done french fries had to be sent back. Waitress never came back to check. Find for lunch but not sure I would go back for dinner.
The food is awful. I have been here on numerous occasions & find the food low quality & flavorless. My salad was soggy & had no taste. The pastas my guests ordered - one was flavorless & the second was very sour from wrong use & type of balsamic.
Interior is appealing. The service felt understaffed given all the tables were full. It resulted in long waits. Do not go here.
Excellent food and service. Enjoyed the risotto special.
Only problem was that meat was not prepared as ordered and had to be returned to the kitchen to be redone.
Ordered the special on Saturday for dinner - pistachio encrusted trout. The fish was burned. I couldn't believe they would serve something like that. The excuse was that this was the last trout they had. They did not offer to bring me a menu or ask if I would like to order something else. Very odd. In my experience this is pretty atypical. Hope it is not a sign of a coming trend.
The food was OK but the service was extremely slow.
Excellent choices of dishes. Good services!
They are always extremely good. I do not know what else to say as I have given them 5 star ratings.
Mother’s Day madness. Res honored on time and service was great. Too noisy.
