You need to get the Cheese platter!! Food was amazing as always.
Tables were so close together that we had to move them to get to ours. We couldn’t hear our conversation because the table next to us was so loud.
Service was well below average. Water was served on the warm side and did not get refilled until close to the end of our dinner. We also got somenone else's check and had to chase our server to get the correct one... Hard to recommend given the food was just OK but pricey.
We almost missed the opening of Hamilton bc our entrees were so late and our server wouldn’t get our check when we asked him to.
I came here for my birthday dinner and it was great! I had The barramundi meal and my date had the southern fried chicken. I loved Both meals.
The food here was excellent, and the overall ambiance was very nice - it's a great spot for if you want a nice sit down dinner in a great location in DC, but don't want to break the bank. My only complaint was that the service was very slow - our waiter didn't even come over until we had been sitting for 30 minutes. But someone else (a manager I believe), came over and apologized and took our order himself so that made up for it some - overall still a nice experience
Yellowtail carpaccio the best
Food was great. Service was slow to start. Server did make great recommendations for our meal. And she was very personable.
Always great. I come for a brunch with my race for the cure team every year and they always handle our happy crowd with great, prompt service and yummy brunch food. I so appreciate that the manager always comes by to help out.
Ive been to Hamilton several times and have never been more disappointed. The food was decent (my avocado toast was terrible - in taste & presentation, but everyone else’s was good - thus the 3 stars), but the service was pretty bad. Our server took forever to take our order (we sat for 40 minutes before she came to take our order) and then was very slow throughout our time there. We’ve never experienced this before at the Hamilton, so I’m hestitate in giving it a lower rating (hoping it’s a one time thing), but it will be quite some time before we go back, if ever.
Overall we enjoyed our experience. The shrimp tempura appetizer was delicious. The salmon bento box was large and filing. My party was pleased with their meals. I was excited they had adult milk shakes but we decided to share a couple of desserts instead. The lemon cheesecake was light but a little too light on the lemon. The bread pudding was outstanding!
My husband ordered the New York strip steak and usually when we have had steak at other restaurants there is a char on it and unfortunately this did not. Our waitress was ok. We brought our own wine she poured it once when she opened it and throughout dinner we poured it ourselves. The filet was good as well as the octopus. I did ordered an after dinner drink a Sauterne and unfortunately it was not available. My husband and I do not intend to come back to this restaurant
So good! The bruschetta was amazing!
The fish in the grilled tacos was horrible. Last two meals there were just awful.
Service kind of slow. Had to flag down server for second drink. Salmon was good but the base was bland.
Filet Mignon did not have right twmp and did not test good the red wine sauce was not good. 15 people came to table to ask if all was good too much. Our waiter forgot steak knife.
Wonderful value for downtown. Excellent decorations, especially if you like nature. Well trained staff ... Efficient, know the menu, make excellent suggestions, have great timing and provide friendly banter if wanted. Super management. We asked for a tour and got one with the General Manager. A worthwhile tour if you are thinking of events.
Very good sushi and sashimi with excellent sake. Broad selection of American favorites including Visalia onions, crab cakes and sweet corn succotash. Definitely to return!
I recommend this place to anyone
I have been to this restaurant a few times and the food and service are excellent along with the drinks which are made well.
Excellent ambience and great service. The food was delicious. I think it would be great for a date night.
Excellent food and service. Quiet for a holiday night. Enjoyed the mix of customers from upscale attire to casual.
Great food and cocktails. Will return !
Good food and drinks
The Hamilton was a perfect choice for a meal with family from out of town who had spent the warm day touring DC. The menu was diverse and reasonably priced. The food was tasty all around. This was a great first dining experience for them. The atmosphere is classy and beautiful.
amazing! would definitely recommend!!
Amazing!! One of my all time favorite places I’ve found in DC! During our trip, we found ourselves there for a nightly drink in one of a few bars they have in their place! All vibrant, all fun! We went back for brunch the next morning and the food, and waiter (Michael) and overall experience was the absolute best!! This place will be a staple for me every time I come to Washington!!
Very happy with the food from appetizer to dessert.
We dined at The Hamilton before a show at the Kennedy Center. We were eating a bit early (5:30 PM) on a Friday night, so the bar was very busy. The noise from the bar carried into the dining area and made it difficult to carry on a quiet conversation.
The food was excellent! My husband loved the Sushi and I enjoyed the scallops with Israeli cous cous which was fantastic.
Our server was polite and friendly, but a bit slow to respond. We had to catch her attention several times.
Our group of 4 had crab cakes, scallops & meatloaf.. we thought all the dishes were delish! Appetizers were peach burrata and calamari: both good. Would definitely eat here again. Our waitress started off good but then forgot about us. They got us out on time for us to attend The Capital Steps
Great evening out with my daughter!
Attended The Hamilton during a visit to Washington on a Wednesday night and found the food and service outstanding.
Had to wait a bit for a table, but being a family of 5, we are use to it.
We ordered various dishes and all were prepared and served very professionally. Server was extremely attentive and appreciated her extra effort to accommodate a vegetarian dish. Price is good considering the quality of the food and service. First time we have attended during many visits to Washington and will definitely attend at our next visit.
The food was great, but the noise level in the bar seating was outrageously loud. It was hard to hear my dining companion across the table. And the service was fine, but a little slow. I kind of felt like we were an afterthought to her service, since we were at the tables by the bar, and not the main dining room. I would recommend The Hamilton for the food, but with caution about where you get seated.
My daughter is in a power wheelchair and our table was very accessible. Meal was great and service was on target. We would love to try more meals here!!
Fpood was great. Wine selection was extensive. Service was good. Lively place. Very reasonable pricing.
Sushi Happy Hour is my favorite go to place as long as you can get there by 6pm. It's always so fresh and at half price...can't beat it!
Food was excellent. Nice selection of sushi as well as “traditional “ fare. Restaurant had a small computer glitch but recovered admirably. Phillip our server was both attentive and pleasant. Will return next time in town
I always enjoy eating here. Good vibe and energetic atmosphere. Sadly our food was so salty this time, every dish.
