   Food was excellent. Service was a little slow but was a very busy evening and the place was packed, so I'm not going to criticize too harshly. Our server was busy but very very friendly and knowledgable. The food was EXCELLENT. I would definitely return for another round!

   I went with work colleagues who had flown in from across the country. We were in two groups and arrived around 5 and were pleasantly surprised that they were able to seat us together. The group varied wildly in taste and the menu accommodated everyone. I am vegetarian and found enough vegetarian and vegan options to be able to have several choices. The food was AMAZING. I had the gnocchi with black truffle and Gorgonzola and a Caesar side salad. The gnocchi melted in my mouth and was excellent. My colleague and I shared the summer rolls with peanut sauce and they were well done and extremely fresh. Several colleagues had the crab cakes and said they were the best crab cakes they’d had. Overall it was a wonderful experience.

    The Hamilton is a staple in The District. Our server was very attentive. The food was timely and delicious! I mean everything we ordered was delish! Always a pleasure at The Hamilton!

    Came for the name, came back for the food. While on vacation, we came to the Hamilton originally for the name, but we liked the food so much we decided come back again. The sushi happy hour really got us. My kids love sushi and I'd say it's one of the best places we've had sushi. I know we will be coming back whenever we're in DC again. Not only is the food good, but the service and ambience are top notch.

    We decided to try the Hamilton, in large part because of the name. My kids are obsessed with Alexander Hamilton (thank you Lin-Manuel Miranda). The menu also had plenty of options for my family's eclectic tastes and need for gluten-free options. My one son had a cheeseburger (with gluten-free bun) and my other son had sushi. We all really enjoyed our meals and our server was on top of it. He made small talk with the kids and was right there whenever we needed something.

    Made a last minute trip. No referrals, just saw some good reviews on Yelp. Very pleased. Interesting, diverse menu. Surprisingly large dining area. Great bar. Definitely worth visiting again.

    We arrived a little early and were seated immediately. Staff was super friendly. Zach the waiter was simply awesome! Food was excellent. Good value. We loved the atmosphere and menu options. Delicious dessert too. Thank you for a fabulous anniversary dinner!

    Usually love coming here. Service was slow. They forgot our wine, they took plates before people were finished and didn’t get a chance to say so. The food is normally outstanding but was just okay.

    Waited approximately 30 to 40 minutes for my entree. Manager brought my delayed and cold meal to the table but offered no apology. The waitress apologized several times and I let her know my thoughts. In the end, the meal was free. The waitress still received a good tip because she was not the cook. My next visit to DC will not include my usual meal at The Hamilton.

    I’d been to the Hamilton several times. This was not a great visit. The menu shrank and they offered very little I wanted to try. I had the Rigatoni Bolognese which was not good. There was no sauce, just pasta and a wet meat mixture that tasted as if the mixture was days old. My partner had the Po Boy and he could not finish it. The meals took a half hour to show up. Our server was fine but did not make up for the lackluster food. The place was incredibly loud and it was hard to talk. What happened? For a better pre show meal, go to Tosca! The Hamilton seems more like a tourist trap and not a pleasant one.
