We know it is no fun to wear a mask while enjoying a night out, but our staff's safety is no laughing matter.
We require all guests to wear a mask while moving about the restaurant, and when speaking to Clyde's employees.
Masks have been a hot topic, with passionate views on all sides. With our team and their families' health at stake, we must err on the side of caution. We hope you will understand and look forward to the day, hopefully soon, when we can all throw our masks in the trash.

The food was good, beautiful dinning room with great service. Dessert was excellent! Thank you
The food was marginal in quality. Service was efficient, but cold.
We loved every minute of our dinner! Nelson was our waiter - something really special about this young man… he was kind, thoughtful, smart, attentive. We told him we hope to see him in politics some day!
It was our last night in DC on our first family trip post-covid - me, hubs, and 2 boys (6&8). The sushi was a wonderful surprise - no imitation crab here… just wonderful white Maryland crab meat. Divine. Everything each of us ate was so good, we scraped our plates clean (even after ordering a second rainbow roll). The drinks were wonderful as well (Nelson’s recommendations were perfect!). If we lived in DC we’d make this place a regular stop - the decor feels fancy but the ambiance still says casual enough to wear shorts and bring kids.
Great place overall. Food was good but pricey. Great atmosphere
Always an amazing experience! The service is amazing, they always take care of your every need, especially food allergies, preferences, seating, you name it. I will gladly return and recommend this restaurant to all!
Zach our waiter was awesome, truly a great waiter. The food was also incredible, it was the perfect place to celebrate a birthday! We will be back!
Had a very good time
Great! Will be back again with more people.
LOVE this place! Gorgeous, upscale restaurant, but relaxed atmosphere. Delicious food and cocktails!! 1/2 price sushi is perfect.
The server was excellent, as was the DC Daught pale ale and the key lime pie. The entrees were both very forgettable.
Our server made my birthday lunch extra special.
Great service, great food, just a little bit on the pricey side for what you get.
Website is not up to date. They do not offer valet parking. Do not park in the garage adjacent to The Hamilton entrance as they do not validate this garage.
Well as always the Hamilton never disappoints. Everything was delicious !
Understaffed. Food come at a relatively slow pace. Hard time waiting for the staff to come to your table.
Awesome Experience I went for a belated birthday dinner. The Hamilton is one of my favorite restaurants when I’m in the district.
Interesting place, server was great and the food was wonderful! Wing appetizer, crab cake and shrimp & grits. It was all delicious! My husband even said he would order a salad just to eat the blue cheese dressing.
Great place not an early dinner!
Service and food was top notch, per usual. Really enjoyed the shrimp and grits.
Lunch on a hot Sunday. Friendly service, excellent cocktails, great food, beautiful space. Our server, Edom, was just the best. Thanks!
Food just wasn’t that great
Great atmosphere and staff. They were very accommodating to special order. Would come back when in town!
Went for the well known sushi and it was great! Haven’t been in over a year and it felt sooo good for it to taste exactly as we remember. Hamilton is one of our local
All around excellent. One of favorite establishments in DC!
Excellent!! Never get disappointed.
Food was wonderful!
Delicious Food. Good variety. They could add more vegan friendly options. Appetizers were to die for! Great drinks. Superb service. Wonderful ambiance. What more could you ask for. I will return!
While the service was great the food was mediocre. I thought this was a great local spot but it was really just ok food with a nice atmosphere full of tourists in tshirts and flip flops. Don’t get me wrong, this isn’t necessarily a bad thing but the price of the food didn’t match the clientele or quality.
Great food and service. Nice to be back in person and feel the friendly vibe of everyone around us.
Love here!! Outstanding service and great food!
Stellar service, all dishes were delicious, lovely ambience. Definitely recommend.
Birthday! Amazing service and food. Will go back. Waiter was
It was great! We really enjoyed our quick service and fantastic food.
We were visiting DC from out of town Memorial holiday period with 2 adults and 2 kids ages 9 and 11. We could not have asked for a better dining experience for dinner. The food choices were excellent which included American fare and sushi as well as a kids menu for picky eaters. Our server Kortue, provided a great combination of attentiveness without being intrusive and allowed for a leisure meal at no rush whatsoever. He was cordial and professional without being obnoxious and fake. This isn’t a cheap meal but I felt for the great food taste, selection, very nice, more traditional finer dining ambiance, it was a good value. Highly recommended for a family who wants a nice dinner out.
Wait times a bit long as the restaurant (like others) are understaffed.
Food was good, except the sushi roll that I got which was very underwhelming (they also give you soy sauce packets instead of serving it in a dish. While it may just be an aesthetic concern, it just removes from the dining experience in general). Also, we ordered a milkshake to go at the end which they: a) got the order wrong, but this was corrected after we double checked once it came, b) only filled halfway, and c) did not blend enough for the shake so they just plopped an entire scoop of vanilla ice cream inside the cup. The shake itself was just alright. Ambience is great though, love the booths and the music.
I love that The Hamilton has vegan options! Our waitress was very knowledgeable and honest.
Had an early dinner with our 2 boys. It was a short walk from the hilton garden in where we were staying. The restaurant is beautiful with floor to ceiling wood and artwork. My boys said it was "fancy" but casual enough for our vacation clothes. They had crayons and activities mats for the kids. I had Fiesta sangria and the Shrimp n grits. Delicious but more spicy then I anticipated. My husband had sushi which he said was great. The boys gave their kids meals 2 thumbs up. The little one even ate his pizza crust (something he never does) and my older said the chicken fingers and fries was the best he ever had. Afterwords we were able to walk over to the Lincoln Memorial. A great end to our DC vacation. Definitely recommend!
Great place and location! Food was wonderful and price was reasonable. Friendly staff!!
