Keith was an excellent server. He was knowledgeable, easy going and anticipated our needs. The food was excellent especially the shrimp toast and the pork chop. We were sat in the solo both by the kitchen hallway and the buspersons station so there was a lot of traffic and noise. We passed two empty booths and 3 4 top tables that would have accommodated our group of four. The table we were given should not have been for a group of four with reservations. And, we "couldn't" be moved- which didn't make sense.

I LOVED The Hamilton! Came to celebrate my daughters College Graduation from Georgetown. Food was outstanding. Atmosphere was lively . Convenient parking garage across the street. Waitress Casey, did an amazing job serving our party of 6. Food was served hot and on time. Drinks were kept flowing. A very memorable night at an iconic restaurant!

In a pinch, getting a reservation here is relatively easy and in May, if you haven’t booked a “better” place a few weeks in advance, this place can be clutch. It is cavernous but you wouldn’t know that if you haven’t explored all the various dining rooms. But that doesn’t detract from the service but it does make it a bit slower. Patience on a weekend is in a lil bit of order. Food is routinely quite tasty, fresh and relatively inexpensive. And inexpensive even when considering inflation. Folks from out of town like the location and my gut tells me a lot of local folks like it as much as I do.

I went for an anniversary dinner and was so impressed. The food was amazing and portion sizes were huge - worth it for the price. We keep talking about the restaurant. There were great options, something bound to suit every eater, and that’s coming from a picky eater. Drinks were delicious too. As the night got busier the service lacked but not to the point of saying/doing anything and not enough to not come back. It was a busy night where the restaurant was 75% full at least and our waitress was managing a lot of tables so it’s entirely understandable and we were still in and out in a little over an hour.

I love this restaurant. But so far, my experience is highly tied to the wait staff. My second visit was better than my first because we had an awesome waiter . Yesterday, my third visit, I brought friends. The waitress was not the best. While my guest were seated at 4:46 (text evidence), the waitress didn't take our order until around 5:07-5:12 at which time she said it was too late to order the half price sushi! We inquired again, nicely, but she didn't budge. This really soured our collective experience. Her rigidity despite us being seated before 5 PM was very disappointing. We flirted with the idea calling a manager but didn't want to ruin the experience for everyone. And yet, it was the first thing I thought this morning when I woke to see a message from my friend thanking me for an evening out during her visit to DC.

This was my first time eating at such a lovely restaurant. We came here for my friend’s birthday and arrived a bit early. The host took us immediately and it didn’t take long for one of the waiters/waitresses to arrive. Jaylyn, I apologize if I spelled her name incorrectly, but she was so lovely. She made the experience better and my friend happy on his special day. Will definitely be coming again and recommend to a friend!

Sushi is always a good idea at The Hamilton; we had the firecracker, spicy tuna, and shrimp. We also ordered a repeat favorite, the Creamy Crab soup. The quality of the pork chop is very good and served crispy on the outside (I asked that it be cooked all the way, but I would probably ask for medium well next time). Steak was good but was cooked too long for rare. For dessert stick with the guey chocolate/blonde brownie or a simple sorbet.

We enjoyed absolutely stellar service thanks to the handsome and charming waiter, Zack. He was aided by the wonderful and fun Amanda. Both were superb! We were very surprised at terrible quality of the sushi. The rice was so warm that sushi just fell apart and the chopsticks could just pick up a tidbit of salmon here, a tiny chunk of avocado there. Crab cakes, side orders, and everything else was , as usual,completely excellent.
