Had brunch there-loved every bite. Service was excellent (thank you Jessica!). Will be back!
Beautiful building great food and service!
We've been going to the Hamilton for years now, but the past few times we've stopped by, the service has been sub-par from start to finish. When we checked in for our reservation, the hostess seated several parties who came in after us before I had to follow up with her to get my party seated. Our server was wonderful, but her section was either oversat or the restaurant was short-staffed, because she wasn't able to check in on us frequently enough. The food took a long time to arrive (we got our appetizer promptly, but waited a good 45 minutes between finishing it and our entrees arriving) and our glasses would be empty for long stretches before our server would be able to get back to see about refills. I don't know if there's been a change in management, or we've just had really bad luck the last few times we've gone, but I don't think we'll be going back to find out.
Waiter forgot to place my wife’s order
Great atmosphere, beautiful architecture and views around the restaurant. Excellent food for great value. Will definitely return!
The hostess continued to seat people before us. We had to remind her that we were there first and had a reservation. The waiter took 35 minutes to come take our order and about 20 minutes to bring boxes and the check.
I met a friend for lunch. The food was awesome, but it took 45 minutes before we were served our food. And it wasn’t that crowded so we weren’t sure why it took so long. This caused me to be late going back to work. We thought that lunch would not take so long. Other than that everything was fine.
First there was no one to greet us.
Then the waiter was rude food cold n not fresh we left n didn’t eat anything bad time
Try the Brick Chicken! Delicious!
I Loved how my food came At a timely fashion ! I loved how the waiter and everyone in general was checking on me and my partner making sure we was satisfied ! , THE MASH POTATOES AND CRAB CAKES WERE AMAZING ! THE WINGS WERE ON POINT ! We will def be back before the month is over ! Made are 2 year anniversary and valentines Day Worth Coming out !
I Was very satisfied !
Great salad, filet mignon tender and flavorful as can be, ambiance in one of their multiple rooms was quiet and beautifully paneled.
Best sushi I've had in a long time and for happy hour its half off.
SERVICE WAS GOOD.. BUT COULD HAVE SEATED IN PROPER DINNING AREA THAN CLOSE TO BAR
The Hamilton was amazing. My husband and I went there for Valentine’s Day...it was our first visit and definitely won’t be our last. I waiter Max was very attentive to us...he asked about food allergy and made sure that the kitchen was aware...go go go!
We went for my sister's 50th birthday. The staff work friendly and responsive. The food and service were excellent
The Hamilton was fabulous, from the decor to the service.
Been many times in past, but this time service was horrible. Had to wait for server for initial table greet who made made multiple mistakes with order. Entree came out with appetizers which we sent back
As always, there is something for everyone on the menu. But the miso soup was extremely salty
The Hamilton is a beautiful Washingtonian asset. The food, the service, and the atmosphere all come together in equal parts to provide a relaxing dining experience. Can't wait to return!
Fabulous milieu to celebrate a family birthday.
Love. Love. Love the private booths!
Attentive & impeccable service.
nice ambience... perfect for any occasion
Came in with reservations on a busy Saturday night. The hostesses seemed overwhelmed to say the least. While polite, they both looked as if it was their first nights, were too soft spoken and had a backlog of 20 people who were all trying to understand the check in process. It took us almost 30 minutes to be seated. We were among the only patrons with children and it was 'cramped' and 'chaotic' to say the least. We finally were lead to the main dining room and the meal was fantastic. I was about to walk out and go elsewhere because of the wait. Glad we didn't, but this is definitely not a restaurant to bring children.
The waiter, Daniel ( I think that was his name ) was very personable , on point and efficient.
The food was average but I was a little put off by the staff roaming around the tables looking for empties. No sooner had I put my fork down than someone cleared the table. Gave me whiplash
My family and I went to the Hamilton for dinner after enjoying a nice day out in DC. It was a Saturday, so we made reservations. We arrived approximately 30 minutes early and one of the managers was nice enough to seat us early. Upon sitting, we were immediately greeted by our waitress and given bread and water. The waitress was very nice and took our drink orders, which came out in a very timely manner for how busy the restaurant was. For an appetizer, my wife and I got the wings, which were tasty, meaty and affordable. For entrees, everybody at our table got something different and we all enjoyed our very tasty well cooked meals. I got the Hamilton Burger and it was delicious. The fries that came with the burger were awesome and on point! We saved some room for dessert and my wife and I got the lemon cheesecake. This was a great decision, as this was one of the best cheesecakes we've had in a long time. I have to give credit to the great service, from the waitress, to the lady cleaning tables, to the manager. This was one of the first restaurants I've seen where the manager was constantly on the move and helping his employees with everything from clearing plates to giving people more water. Overall, I have nothing but good stuff to say about the Hamilton and will defiantly be going back!
My husband, daughter and I had a wonderful experience at The Hamilton for dinner last weekend. Food and service are excellent.
Outstanding. Had the Tuna Poke. Yumilicious! Cannot wait to return!
Nice place, great DC experience.
We stopped in for a quick bite for lunch and a drink. The Moscow Mules are delicious and we really enjoyed the sushi as well.
I love the ambience of this restaurant, which makes you feel like you are in NYC in the 1950s. In addition, the food is always excellent, and the wait staff extraordinarily attentive. I recommend this to anyone who wants good food in a fun environment.
Great all around!
The Hamilton is always a great choice for lunch or dinner.
Hamilton never disappoints with the quality of the food. Service does get a little slow at peak times which is to be expected, but management should be able to prepare for that!
Wonderful waiter David. Music venue was first class. Great acoustics.
The service and the decor were very nice but overall it’s overpriced. I could have made a better steak and it wouldn’t have cost me 46 bucks!
Great as always!! Minimal noise and excellent service. I am an "out of towner" and make a point to visit this place every time I visit!
The Hamilton has great ambiance and the staff makes for a pleasing experience. The wine list had something for everyone as did the selection of cocktails. We had the Tempura Shrimp and Fried Calamari for starters. They were excellent. I had the lump crab cakes, which is a Clyde’s standard and never disappoints. The only glitch in the evening was my husband’s cowboy rib-eye. The steak was suppose to be medium, but was charred to black. The waiter took it back right away and 15 minutes later a second steak appeared. Unfortunately, it had no sear at all and looked like a limp carcass. We had the waiter call the manager and he agreed, just not up to their usual standards. He saved the evening by understanding it was too late for a third try and instead provided coffee and desserts. The kitchen may have been off that night but the Hamilton will always make it right and provide a great experience. That’s why we keep coming back.
Sushi happy hour at The Hamilton is simply one of my favorite things in DC. Perfect ending to a hectic day. Cheers!
I've eaten here multiple times when I'm in DC. The food and drink selections are great.
Delicious food! Beautiful decor. It seems modern while still being true to the past so tangible in this city
The Hamilton is one of my best brunch restaurant in DC! Fantastic food and service!
