I was not impress with the taste of the food, the New York strip was blah, and the linguini was tasteless the only bright spot was our waitress!
Great food and value. Will definitely be back.
I was impressed with the staffs great customer service and professionalism in managing large groups of customers. I loved the decor with the high ceiling and wood paneling. The food was “top drawer”. I definitely would return to try more dishes. The Service was well-timed and friendly. The wines were affordable and represented the spirits of the restaurant.
Chose from the Sushi menu - possibly the wrong choice
The Hamilton was a very nice restaurant. Service was very good. The Food was tasty and very good. Noise level of everyone's dinner conversation was very high.
Great location. Beautiful decor yet comfortable. Server Diana was attentive and added an extra flare of zest to our meal and the ambiance. We ordered some sushi to start, the California roll, the spider and the blitz. All we fresh and flavorful. We also got the Manila clams (delicious) and tempura shrimp (yummy, crunchy and not soggy) as appetizers. For the main meal ordered the fish tacos and poke bowl which were another delight for the taste buds. As an end to our meal we ordered the creme brulee (heavenly & creamy) and the lemon cheese cake (the lemon curd was divine). But the pièce de résistance to end our meal was the coffee. I cannot bring to words the flavor, smoothness and taste of their house blend. They need to sell it. Not sure if it's the blend, the consistency in which the way they grind it or the combination of the french press, the coffee or temperature. But now all I can do is crave it, think about it and will forever compare other coffee to it.
We were seated quickly. Placed our order and received our food in reasonable amount of time. My corn beef sandwich was good but could not get sweet potato fries since they were out of those. My wife got salmon salad, in which the salad was very tasty but salmon was vastly undercooked. We could not tell the waitress since she did not check on us until giving us the bill. We told her why the salmon was not eaten but really didn’t care, and wasn’t friendly overall, maybe just had a bad day.
Service was slow
The staff was customer friendly nothing over and above. The food was great.
Service food and ambiance all excellent
We had a fantastic meal at the Hamilton! Great menu and it is hard to decide. The prices are very reasonable for the great food that they serve. We loved dessert. The coffee press decaf coffee was fantastic!
Such a great restaurant! Reasonable pricing with incredible food!!
Easter Sunday Brunch
With a huge caveat... this is not necessarily the place you go for a standout brunch - except for the service, which was excellent- but it’ll do.
We went for Easter Brunch and everything was fantastic! The service was exceptional and the food outstanding!
Excellent as usual!!!
Great drinks...Great Food...service was great...no complaints here
Food is very mediocre.
Food and service were spectacular. I was with a party of 5 and we were seated in a private room. The food was delicious, and the service was prompt and incredibly welcoming.
I was disappointed that my crab cake and fries came out cold and my side was forgotten all together.
Friendly and courteous staff made us feel at home.
Loved the food and our server was magnificent.
The Hamilton was awesome, from the actual restaurant itself to the excellent food and prompt & attentive service. I'd go back in a heartbeat to try some more of their offerings.
Get at least one crab cake. Amazing food and service for very reasonable price considering the level of quality.
When we arrived, I check in with the hostess. She said it would be a few minutes while she checked for our table. We stepped to the side to let others check in. 20 mins passed (I heard people check in that had reservations and some that did not- who were seated before us, but I continued to wait) finally she looked at me and said, what was the name again and how many? It was my daughters 17th birthday and we had show tickets to Fords Theater- so we ended up being a bit rushed at the end. Our server did bring out a goo cake for her. The food was good, the wine was overpriced. I looked up the bottle we ordered and it costs around $24 - the restaurant charged $60... I would think $44-50 would have been more reasonable upcharge.
Food was good. Server was non attentive and never asked how meal was. Seemed pretty occupied with larger groups.
Based on the reviews we’d read, we expected food that was better prepared. The Cesar salad was tasteless, the tempura shrimp was heavy and greasy. The menu was limited and the food was not prepared well. Our waitress, however, was delightful!
I've been here once before and very much enjoyed my pre-theatre entree and cocktail. On this visit I was underwhelmed with the food (3 sushi rolls during 1/2 price 3p-6p special) which was good, but nothing special, and my martini, while pretty good, only filled half the glass. I think it's ridiculous to pay $13.50 for basically a shot, and the waiter didn't think there was anything wrong with this. Additionally, we made a reservation and still waited 10mins to be seated.
Used to view The Hamilton as a backup if I couldn’t get a reservation at The Old Ebbitt. But it’s now become a destination restaurant all its own. Great food, drinks, service. Held a booth for me on a crowded evening; would go back just out of gratitude for that.
Food was amazing and the service was exceptional!
Highly recommended to anyone in DC!
I liked the room very much, the server was great, and the food was very good. They were a bit slow on the drink service. But all and all a very nice place.
Thank John Grace for always making me and my friend feel welcome
The whole process from reservation to dessert was smooth and easy. Our server Max, was a pleasure. I will come to the Hamilton again, and will not hesitate to relate our experience to our friends.
Filet over cooked;2nd time brought out medium rare steak vs. med well. Service was slow and inattentive. Manager did nothing to make up for poor experience.
Had a group of 8 with 4 kids and they put us in a corner room with round table that was perfect.
Excellent food , big selection of diferents cain of fooo
Thoroughly enjoyed our experience! Would definitely recommend this place!
Great restaurant!!! Shrimp and grits were the best dish.
Excellent!! Go and enjoy!!
We went for brunch and it was delicious.
Beautiful decor, great location, and attentive staff. There were a few bright spots on the brunch menu (ricotta donuts and pecan sticky buns) and serviceable standard fare.
As always the Hamilton never disappoints!
We went here after our elopement and had a lovely dinner!
