Lovely as always
Awesome experience. Great service. Food was out of this world. All at great prices. Especially for DC. Will return soon.
Server took way too long ... had to get food to go and desserts Togo. Only had soup and left ... they are not prepared for lunch rush or restaurant week. Disappointed and will not come back
Fun, just took a little long for appetizers, but food overall was fantastic. Ambiance was great. Waitstaff was generally friendly.
This place was another great spot in the city. I had the sushi and the Hamilton burger I would recommend both. The bartender was also really friendly and helpful. A must stop if you are in town!
The beef rib bourguignon actually had only a nickel sized piece of meet. The rest was just mini bits mixed with gravy over mashed potatoes. It was very disappointing. The cream of crab soup was excellent--by contrast, lots of crab meat. The Mushroom Arancini was also very good. The bread pudding was fine, as was the catfish etouffe. The Old Fashioned was very good, but at $20 for a glass, a bit steep. It was a fine dinner, but I'm not sure I'd be in a rush to return.
Excellent service and food. I would recommend fora business/friend lunch or special occasion.
Maybe I picked the wrong day. It was so packed as usual (which is ok) . but seems like they were too busy to take care of us. The lady at the front wasn't very friendly.
I had chirashi. I should've picked something else.. I wonder if they know what chirashi sushi is?
It was just small portion of rice and 4 or 5 sliced sashimi on it. Very poor presentation and it just taste like sashimi and rice. I'm sure if I pick something else, it would be different though kinda good to experience and see that also.
I thought Hamilton was way better than what we experienced yesterday.
It is quite casual restaurant. I didn't get any special feel and service.
Excellent service, sushi happy hour, amazing sushi beer
I always love visiting the Hamilton when I am in DC!
It was restaurant week. Despite the fact that we had a reservation, we waited 15 minutes to be seated. Once seated, we waited another 5 minutes and then were greeted by our waitress. The 2 of us ordered 3 items to be split. We had to ask for extra plates each time. The first item (salad) came quickly, and then we waited 25 minutes before the next item came. The food was delicious, but the service was not great. At the end of the meal, my colleague informed the waitress that he had to leave in 10 minutes for his next meeting and could we quickly get the dessert (just cookies). She was understanding and said of course, but before we received the cookies, my colleague had to leave for his next meeting.
The environment and customer service is outstanding
We had a great dinner, food was very good and the waiter could not have been better.
Chip was our waiter-super attentive and was great with recommendations on favorite foods, etc
Great time. No issues.
Enjoyed pre-dinner drinks at the bar.
Waiter seemed to forget about me as the restaurant got busier. I often dine alone when traveling and appreciate when I am not overlooked for larger parties. I waited 30 minutes for the check to be brought, and when it never was I left cash on the table and had to leave. No server in sight.
Great food- and really good dessert! That made the meal!
Love love love! Excellence and such a cool vibe.
This was an unexpected delight. My wife I and I came in from California and stayed at the JW Marriott. We have been to DC hundreds of times. I made reservations at the Hamilton because it is close to the hotel. The setting is fabulous, the service very good and the food was terrific. All at very reasonable prices on a DC scale. Kudos
Came here for my birthday with my family. I had a good time. He ambiance in this restaurant was truly amazing. I mean one of the main reasons I chose this place to host my dinner is because it is the The Hamilton. My only thing is that the food options were limited if you don’t beef or pork. Luckily I eat seafood but a lot of the menu is seafood as well. The overall experience was great, and drink options were really good as well. But if you’re vegetarian, or only eat chicken, then I’d consider another place. But I’d highly recommend coming here at least once.
Let me start: I love this place, always have - and we will be back. HOWEVER, I was disappointed there was no mention of our birthday and engagement celebration (outside of the man at the front desk) when I added it as a note to the reservation. Not asking for free stuff - just acknowledgment when it’s noted.
Waited 15 min for server
Food was OK nothing special
The worst experience ever! The waiter was absolutely rude and not friendly. I asked for a cheeseburger with cheddar cheese. He brought out a cheeseburger with bacon on it. Non apologetic... very shocked at my experience here.
Loved our meal here. The apple salad, octopus appetizer and scallops were amazing.
Great meal. The Spanish Octopus and deviled eggs are good. The roast duck breast was tasty.
Was a little disappointed that there was no candle in the dessert for the birthday person but enjoyed the experience from beginning to end nonetheless.
Our waiter, Richard, was attentive and friendly.
This restaurant is very roomy and we did find a quiet table in the back. Food was fine, wine list was fine. Pretty decor!
The Hamilton is an great place to eat, drink and watch a show. How can you do better than the Hamilton, it has everything. I have been there for lunch, for happy hour, for dinner and the food and service was fantastic and friendly. I have been to the loft to listen to some music and had a great time. I plan on getting tickets to a show downstairs and cannot wait.
The food was on par for the price. The atmosphere was excellent and lively. The tuna sashimi was very fresh and tasty. The boozy dulce de leche milkshake was delicious. The creme brûlée was adequate. The cocktails were ok. The cheeseburger was one of the best I have ever tasted. The falafel was just ok. The mushroom stroganoff was underwhelming. The experience was fun and the service was great. I think I was expecting more from the food in terms of taste. The food was good but not exceptional and the price reflected that. I would return because overall it was a positive experience.
Great experience! My husband and I went to a show at the National Theatre and everything ran on time. The staff and food were outstanding . We cant wait to come back .
Crab soup tasted like a room temperature bowl of cream... very low on flavor. Tsunami sushi roll was chew and
Only tasted of
The food and ambiance was amazing. I ordered the filet and it was cooked to perfection. Our server was super attentive.
The Hamilton provides a great place to start your evening when going to the theater in Washington DC. The food is excellent. The venue is beautiful. The service was a little slow. Overall, the restaurant is excellent and we will return in the near future.
Our waitress was not the most attentive and interacted very little.
Very small portions but expensive prices. Tavern fare but presented on menu as “higher end.” Quality of food was mediocre.
I wasn't quite sure how to rate this experience. Overall the service was attentive, the food was good to excellent with the Brussels sprouts, duck and bread pudding being the stars, not to mention the tasty cocktails, but there were some odd shortcomings. The two knives served with the steak and duck were too dull to cut the otherwise tender protein. Frustrating to slice and slice and slice and not be able to lift that morsel into your mouth. The second issue was the presentation of the hanger steak which was presented as a solid tube of unadorned meat on a big white plate. Throw those Brussels sprouts on the plate or some parsley or kale...or a sauce...anything but a lonely brown tube on a white plate that gave visions of that candy bar in Caddyshack. Not sure what the kitchen is thinking here. The restaurant also ignored the birthday, so if you're looking for acknowledgement for a special occasion you might want to pull the waiter aside or talk with the host when you first arrive. I would eat here again if invited, but given the number of other appealing choices I would not be inclined to seek them out given our experience.
LOCATION IS PERFECT TO GO TO AND THEN THE THEATER.
Best Clydes food I’ve had in a while . Perfect for pre- show early dinner.
