Very good place to with family or friends. Staff is courteous and general manager is a gem.
We had a fantastic lunch at The Hamilton. The food was excellent (salmon eggs benedict dish and fried chicken, gravy, eggs, and bacon. It was an excellent value with huge portions. The staff could not be better.
Great place with tasty food, excellent service, and quality drinks! Make a reservation online ahead of time and avoid any wait time. Our table was ready and waiting for us the second we arrived. Perfect!
My friend and I came here for dinner earlier this evening. It was easily said, a wonderful experience through and through. The host staff at the door were prompt and good to us. The wait staff were friendly, lively, and on point the whole evening. Our waitress was kind, had positive energy and did an excellent job. Compliments to the chefs and kitchen staff. Our food came out reasonably quick and all was delicious. We started with the fried calamari. Bread was served. Our main course was great. I looked at my friend and said, "now this is a medium cooked steak!" I had the petite sirloin salad. He had a sushi entree. All so tasty! The ambiance was fantastic. I enjoyed the bird theme in the room we had been seated at. The sound level was on the louder side but totally understandable in a well put together and seemingly popular establishment on a Saturday evening. Highly recommend and hope to return again soon. Thank you to all staff for a great experience. Enjoy your weekend.
Nice place to eat and enjoy company with friends.
The wait staff was friendly and attentive.
With a reservation we waited 15 minutes; but we weren’t upset because the place was packed! However, we sat for 35 minutes before I finally waved the server over to take our order. My “medium” steak came too rare. The server didn’t notice because he didn’t return to the table. After about 45 minutes, I stopped a manager and asked for our check so we could pay and go. How disappointing! A bad start for our rare date night.
The Hamilton is very close to my husband's office so I have been here many times for the sushi happy hour, which is a *great* value. We have also had a few other meals here that were perfectly fine, but I can't say I have had anything other than the sushi happy hour in a few years. However, I visited the other day with a friend for brunch, as I know that I do really like the St-Germain mimosas. We were deeply disappointed with the food. We were in the mood for fried chicken, so we got the District wings, which were pretty good, but the fries that came with them were horrible (cold, stale, potentially fried in old oil), which should have warned us away from ordering fries with our fried chicken sandwiches, which were fine. The fries that come with out sandwiches were inedible. My friend got the truffle fries and they were slightly better, but not by much. If you go here, don't get the fries. Service was pretty good, though. We started with one server and ended with another who was a *little* too attentive.
The Hamilton is much of a muchness, menu is fine and the food is tasty it is though nothing out of the ordinary. It is good for Saturday lunch with friends if one is looking for somewhere central and reasonably priced. Service is fine and the atmosphere is busy and noisy but it does say “friendly”.
We needed a quick turnaround on a Friday night to take 84-yr-old mom to the theater. With a packed house and little time, Keegan and Jacob got us in, served us a fabulous meal, and had a cab waiting outside to get us to the show on time. Their care and attention was more than outstanding. It was a gift of Grace!
First time at the restaurant and our meal and service was wonderful. I would definitely recommend to any of my friends who would be visiting that area.
My sisters and I have been coming to the Hamilton for the past five years for special celebrations or just catch up time. The atmosphere is always great, the food impeccable, and the service spectacular. This time was no different. Our server was attentive and patient and the food was so flavorful, simply delicious. I look forward to returning for many more special occasions. Thanks!
This is our go to place when we have an event downtown. Reservations are definitely needed in advance. Especially if you want to be out at a certain. Time for a show. If you let your waiter know they will move things along. Fun sushi happy hour and wide range of food choices from sandwiches to steaks. Our waiter was knowledgeable about the sushi options and recommended a great bottle of wine to compliment. The place is large and can be loud but you can carry on a conversation with the rest of the table. You can’t go wrong here or at any of the Clyde’s restaurants.
Nice place for lunch or dinner. Sometimes they get too busy to give the service you need however they do mean well.
We had an excellent meal in a pleasant environment.
Great place with a wonderful selection of tasty food options - sushi, healthy, comfort, it's all there.
Terrible food. Had to return my salad because they served it on a hot plate and was completely wilted. Main course not hot! Noise level off the chart. I won’t be back.
I took my son for his ninth birthday dinner (we are from South Carolina). Waitress was amazing and kind to a you f man, food was delicious, and overall experience was phenomenal. Thank you!
Possibly the slowest service ever. I saw more birds than help
The food was good. Drinks were okay. The server was friendly but NOT attentive and we had to wait a long time for refills or for him to check on us.
Wonderful, ambience service & food. Next time I'm in DC I'm going back to The Hamilton.
Extremely slow service. EXTREMELY.
This is a go-to when I have family in town. The food and service always knock it out of the park, plus there's a little bit of everything on the menu, making it ideal for both the adventurous and conventional eaters.
Very nice restaurant. Food was good and service excellent. Made a reservation and was seated right away. would recommend
Service was fantastic--everyone did what they could to make sure we made our showtime at a nearby theater. We had the pork tenderloin and mac and cheese--both were delicious.
The menu is varied enough to please everyone. When you are on the go in DC, The Hamilton's comfortable seating, efficiency and choices give a traveler a welcoming happy place to be. The noise and crowds when you enter in the bar area belie the comfort you can have once seated.
The Hamilton is always my " valeure sure"! Great service and great food.
Brunch food tasted good but was cold. The deviled eggs were extremely salty. No manager checked how our dining experience was despite mentioning the comments to our waitress on the food.
Absolutely delicious brunch! The pumpkin bread is a must. Everything was delicious - we will be back!
Delicious benedict and a made from scratch Hollandaise that is so light it floats. Their brunch drinks were good. I want to go try their lunch, I hear their catfish is fantastic.
Great selections, even better sushi and cocktails.
The service was not up to my standards. The waiter took forever with everything and forgot some orders.
Happy hour sushi was fantastic. Good portions, great selection, excellent quality and flavor, at half price. Atmosphere here is fun.
Great food, outstanding service
We arrived early for a 7:00pm reservation on. Friday night and immediately enjoyed the vibe. We were seated by 7:00pm in one of the many rooms and the service was exemplary! Enjoyed shrimp & grits and a Maryland crab cake platter.. Never had better! Hope to return!
I really liked the decor, but it is way, way, WAY too noisy.
Great food! Excellent staff! Lively atmosphere!
I especially appreciate the great GF selections (and sensitivity) which makes going here with my very GF wife a pleasure, not a worry.
Fantastic space, great value. Food delicious
Some of the best food we had on our trip. Everywhere in this area is busy, so make reservations in advance. Highly recommend the meatloaf. Our waitress was fantastic, can't remember her name but she was from Colorado Springs.
We had a great time at The Hamilton. It was my first time there. We each had chili (the soup of the day), the market salad, and dessert. What a lovely lunch! I will be back!
HUGE restaurant - very noisy in first few rooms. Try to sit in back room. Good value for the money. I told the waitstaff my husband can’t eat spicy food, even pepper. The mixed seafood pasta he ordered had red pepper flakes sprinkled on top! They offered to make a new one but we just exchanged plates-someone wasn’t listening. Also, entrees served a few minute following the presentation of the appetizer - too rushed. Best coleslaw ever!!
