   Nice brunch with friends at a reasonable price. Omelettes good as well as fruit. Belgium waffle very good. Bagels too white bread. Would have been better to have some good hearty bread. Mimosa nice as well as the bottomless cup of coffee.

   Outstanding beginning to end. Perfect sunset at cocktails, then a beautiful and delicious dinner. Staff were all on point. Piano player added perfect ambience. History and elegance. Best of Tucson.

   My wife and I enjoy going out to dinner and we go to all different sorts of restaurants. From fine dining to gastro pubs and all the rest. We came to hacienda a few years ago and left feeling the food was too rich, the service was cloying and stuffy and the experience generally tired. We decided to go back last night and it was, if anything, worse. Her mocktail was ok but my old fashioned was terrible. If I wanted whiskey on the rocks I’d have ordered that. No hint of bitters or sugar. Our beef carpaccio was ok, but thickly sliced and the mustard on it overwhelmed the flavor. Her lamb was just barely fork tender, and the sauces and accompaniments were so rich neither of us could stomach more than a bite or two. My salmon was much the same way. So buttery and the sauce so creamy and rich that two bites had me feeling sick. The service was cloying, and while attentive we never really felt alone. Our server also had such bad breath we couldn’t face him while he talked and frankly it was enough to put me off my appetite. It’s nice to hear “welcome” or “thank you for joining us” or the like but when every single server, busser, and employee stops to say it on the way to the table or on the way to and from the restroom it’s a bit off putting. We skipped dessert and even left our packed up leftover food there because we realized we wouldn’t ever eat it. The ambience was even ruined by a table siting in our room so loud that we could hear their entire conversation. Lovely room, lovely location, but at this point it feels like a Time Machine back to 90s dining.

   It was fantastic. Excellent food and very good service. Only suggestion was the bread attendant stated she would return to our table but never did. Also, we forgot about bringing our left over entree home but again, apparently the same attendant forgot it too. These are not major mishaps but I wanted to draw attention to the several areas the attendant could improve. Overall, the night was lovely and we were shocked to find out a person, seated next to us, after visiting with her for a short conversation. Paid for our meals. This gesture by her was totally a big surprise as she deserves praise from us for being so generous. Come to find out, she is a cardiologist by profession and travels to Tucson from Miami FLORIDA ABOUT ONCE A MONTH to serve the Cardiologist Department at Banner Hospital. Again, our special thank you to her as she picked up our bill. We thank her and appreciate her thoughtfulness. I am still in shock. Our waiter was super and attentive! As I said, we had a lovely time and certainly will return. A night to remember thanks to everyone involved. Jim & Johnny Thanks!!!

   We love this restaurant and we asked for our favorite table by the bay window facing the Catalina mountains. We witnessed a marriage proposal and the table behind us was a wedding celebration and this was our first dinner as a married couple. Thank you for the delicious food, ambiance and service!    The entire experience was outstanding! From the time we checked in for our reservation to the time we left. Brunch was amazing. The food choices were great. Beautiful views. Nice and quiet so you could enjoy it all! Look forward to going again!

   Beautiful setting and a first class meal. Wine list was exceptional. Service was outstanding for Tucson, but perhaps not big city fine dining level.
