   WOW food was just fantastic, the Elk Loin with Huckleberry sauce was soooo yummy. Our server was very attentive, helpful and friendly. We love the Gun Barrel if your looking for wild game out west the Gun Barrel is a must!

   The Gun Barrel has been a must visit since my first trip to Jackson in the early 2000’s. The menu has changed a bit since my last visit 2 years ago, but the food is excellent as always.

   We ordered the trio, and asked for the meat to be cooked medium. Everything was completely rare. We hate to send food back, but we had to, and even when returned, it was still undercooked.

   Service was absolutely amazing. Our water glasses were never empty. They refilled them constantly which was exactly what we needed after a long day of traveling and acclimating to the altitude. We had the burger and the Mixed game grill. Both were exceptional, tender and juicy. Fries and potatoes were also delicious. We also dined at the Local and preferred out meat at this location to that restaurant. The decor and taxidermy were lots of fun. This is a must visit when visiting Jackson.

   My sons burger was terribly underdone and my ribeye was RAW - blue raw. The burger was ordered medium well and come more in the rare side - he did not eat it. The ribeye was ordered medium rare and come out blue raw. Not even close to impressed with the food or the price. Will not be returning!

   This is our second time in Gun Barrel and it still delivers. The main courses were well prepared, sizable and tasty! Appetizers were tasty and sizable as well but the only one thing that made me wonder about the quality is the speed with which they came out after we ordered them. Must have been less then 5 min. So they must have been prepared well in advance and heated up right as we ordered them. The waiter was knowledgeable and nice but was rushing to take our order as he was juggling several tables, so we felt like we're weren't giving the proper amount of attention and rushed to make a decision.

   The Gun Barrel is always a favorite. Consistently delicious food and great service! Three of us had the salmon and it was fantastic! A generous portion, cooked to perfection with a light, crisp crust. It's fun to take visitors to the Gun Barrel, the atmosphere is true to its Western heritage and the space used to be the Wyoming Wildlife Museum & Taxidermy. Perusing through the restaurant, you can find some really unique treasures.

    Thomas was outstanding! Loved every single one of his recommendations. We use open table very often and have to say never comment but he certainly set the service bar high. Told him what we were in the mood for and he nailed it - cocktail- apps- entree- wine! Meal to remember in such a fun place. Great way to begin or end or maybe both from now on! Highly suggest mgmt. for Thomas -the classic bison prime flight was amazing very fun to share on a date ! Thank you again!

    Overall it was just okay, for the money I expected a lot more flavor. I had the steak flight and it was under seasoned and the sauces lacked pop. My son bit down on a bone chip that was in his burger. And there were 2 desserts we didn’t order on our bill.

    We had come to Jackson Hole for years and heard mixed things about this place. Some said it was delicious while others said it was simply a tourist trap. After awhile, we finally decided to try this place out. The ambiance, food, and service was delicious in addition to all the impressive taxidermy. We will definitely return in the future.

    Awesome. Great food, great atmosphere, great setting, great whiskey, great food (did I say that twice? whatever)...my dad and I were in town for a long weekend ski trip and we went here for dinner two nights in a row because honestly what else do you need when you're in Jackson Hole?

    Our waiter was great. Very good service. Food was good. My steal was cooked to perfection and flavorful. My wife and son liked the salmon. Atmosphere was warm and friendly. We will be back.

    The food was fine but a little overpriced for what it was. The staffing was friendly but lacked some polish as plates were literally dropped on the table. Most of all it came way too fast. We had no time to enjoy our wine before the appetizers arrived and as soon as the dishes were taken the mains were delivered. I’ve never felt so rushed to finished a. meal. One hour!

    A really under rated restaurant in Jackson. The Gun Barrel is a casual restaurant serving basically a meat menu biased toward game dishes. Compared to fine dining restaurants in the Jackson their prices for game dishes are moderate. Servings are hearty. The service was prompt and pleasant. The fried green tomatoes are an excellent starter. The beet salad and the French Onion soup are similarly good. We had the Bison Raviolis which are very hearty, and the Game Platter is big enough to share. The log cabin and wildlife atmosphere is quite good for tourists. The wine and beer list is typical of a casual restaurant. Don't go looking for a bottle of Chateau Lafite!

    If you are a meat and potato person, this is the place to dine. They have a superior selection of steaks that will satisfy your palate and appetite. And don't forget dessert. The Deep Dish Apple Pie is out of this world.

    Great experience. As with many steakhouses, they intentionally undercook meat. I generally prefer medium rare and had to order medium to get what I'm used to. Very nice and attentive service and a cool atmosphere.

    Requested table change. First table was in high traffic area near stairs to upper level, staff section with a view of kitchen doors. Plenty of empty tables on main floor so were able to get a good table with much better atmosphere. We had reservations. Food was excellent and waiter did a great job explaining menu and making suggestions.

    The food was amazing. I had the bison ravioli. My husband loved the elk loin. Our waiter recommended the cobbler for dessert. It was excellent. There is so much to look at as well. This place is full of history and the food is delicious.
