The Guild House - Columbus
We went to The Guild House for my daughters graduation dinner. The service was excellent and the food, WOW, delicious. Everyone enjoyed the dinner from the teenagers to the grandparents. Thank you for making a special dinner extra special.
We went to GH for a post graduation brunch. We had steak and eggs, ham and Swiss and pancakes. I personally had two mimosas, which were very good. Service is always slow and sometimes inattentive but we were enjoying our own celebration so it wasn’t too disruptive to us.
We celebrated graduation and enjoyed the unique menu. Everyone in our party found something new to try and loved it. Our server, Ryan, was exceptional!
Always enjoyable food and service. Our server, Grace (?) was delightful.
As we were staying at the Joseph, we ate here for dinner and breakfast. Both meals were fantastic. The service a bit different though.
First, if you have a big appetite, this may not be the place for you as portions are on the lighter side.
Breakfast was fantastic, I had the truffled eggs, eggs poached perfectly. However, you may want to order a side of toast. The flavor was delicious however, the potato pancake was a bit lost in the egg and creme fresh especially when you cracked open the yoke. You also get one bit of truffle shaved over each egg. My fiance ordered the Benedict, he enjoyed it but said the sauce didn't seem homemade. Our serve was very polite and attentive, upbeat.
For dinner, the service was a bit different. Our waiter was very open to telling us what he didn't like on the menu and what was sub par by his standards. While the honesty his appreciated, I think negatively talking up a menu isn't the most professional, and there are better ways to steer patrons away from items that may not be their favorite. The food was however great. We ordered the sea bass and chicken roulade. My fiance said the sea bass was one of his top favorite. I had the chicken, and this is one of those times I was happy I didn't pass on just a chicken dish. It is savory, yet light. The flavor combinations is great.
Ambiance was very cool. Valet parking was nice. Service was a tad slow. Cocktails were decent. The problem here was the food portions. I got a chicken dish for nearly $30 and it was tiny. Just not a good value. We actually ended up getting pizza after dropping $190.00 check.
I loved it! They were very friendly to gluten intolerant needs, and their gluten free toast was really good! Our waiter was extremely nice and accommodating, especially with the food allergies. Would definitely go back!
Great service and food as expected. Lots of gluten free options.
Great aesthetics and cool vibe. Portions are small, and prices are high. The ambiance is the best in Columbus.
Always a good choice, whether it's for an intimate dinner or a group event. Note: if your group is larger than six, better to call to make reservations since the app won't let you reserve more than that. Our party was for 10, so we had to make two reservations online - one for six and one for four - then called to make sure the restaurant knew that it was really one group. Also, the parking garage didn't honor the validation the restaurant gave us and the attendant told us they had talked with the restaurant several times about it - just adds to the ShoNo parking woes.
Very nice welcome and very nice Anniversary gift....champagne and dessert.
Great food and atmosphere, but the portions for the entrees are way toooooo small. I finished my sea bass in 4 bites.
The food was good. I got the chicken, but it was a little on the dry side. Also, they were blaring club music, which I did not enjoy. Our server, Grace, was outstanding though and made the experience a good one.
The truffle eggs were to die for!!! Service was great, kitchen a bit slow but with every minute. It’s also beautiful inside. I just loved it.
Mother’s Day brunch was outstanding. Excellent service even on a very busy day!
Had a great meal for my wife’s first Mother’s Day! Good was great, the place was packed but our reservation got us seated right away. The only drawback was after we were seated my wife was presented with a mimosa in a way that we both felt it would be complimentary. She was not asked if she wanted one but simply presented with one already made. However when the bill came, there it was. Not a deal breaker but it did feel deceptive.
Awesome Mother’s Day brunch- baby friendly too!
Decor is great, food is great. Service was a little slow, but likely due to Mother’s Day crowd
I would recommend it only because of the ambiance but the value for the food was not great. Very small portions. Service was very good.
We went to The Guild House for breakfast on Mother’s Day. The place was full, with a nice, energetic vibe. The truffled eggs were the best poached eggs I’ve ever eaten. We will be back again.
The service could have been better. Brought two espressos but never asked if we needed sugar. Never checked back on us when we received the bill. We put the cash on the table and left but probably could have walked out unnoticed. The portions were ridiculously small for the money charged. Parking was a pain and it costs over $10 to valet there after a tip. Probably won't return.
The only reason I'm not giving this location 5 stars is due to the layout, I'm not a huge fan of the open concept, I like a little more space / privacy between my table and the other tables. Aside from that, food was great (just a little to petite / small portions for my taste). The ambiance was great, just a little to loud for and that's mainly due to the layout of the restaurant.
All in all it's a great restaurant with great food and ambiance, but just make sure that it fits your style and taste.
We enjoyed a women’s day out at The Guild House. It was relaxing and fun and delicious food. The service was great! We parked at the Joseph Parking Garage which was close. The server thought by stamping my parking pass, my parking would be free. Not so. So, parking was $8 for about 2 hours at the restaurant. Still worth it!
Very good service, food is of high quality but portion sizes smaller than in most European cities. I like the minimalist decor but like most trendy places with high ceilings and wood floors the sound levels are of unhealthy decibels.
My sister's birthday dinner was perfect. They had a bottle of Prosecco waiting for us at the table as requested, the food and service were wonderful and we loved the ambience. I would definitely recommend the Guild House for special coassions.
A beautiful meal for a special occasion! Everything was perfect! Including our lovely waitress who went across the street to grab a special dessert for my daughter. She was so kind! Food was amazing and the cocktails were perfection.
Outstanding! Highly recommend! Beautiful plus food is amazing! Great vibe good service.
Great Evening! Interesting Menu...not the same old same old. Food was delicious and the service was outstanding. I will absolutely go back
Great atmosphere and excellent service!
I had the greatest server I’ve ever had! The food and drinks were outstanding and will definitely be back.
Food was great, service was even better. Thank you!
Fantastic restaurant! Great food, service and decor. Well worth a visit! We even came back for breakfast!
The happy hour prices on food and booze is UNBELIEVABLE !!!! The manager at the Guild is so accommodating. Best of the Best by far 👍
Wonderful service. Great flavors. Pricey. Will be back.
The Guild House continues to impress. Our family eats there every time we're in Columbus. The tuna ribbons are always our first go-to item, but the specials created in the kitchen are a must. The house cocktails are delicious. You can't go wrong.
Fantastic. Tuna ribbons and stuffed poblano are our favorites appetizers and did not disappoint. My wife had the gnocchi, which she loved, and I had the filet. Both were excellent. The reduction sauce on the filet is magnificent with the gratin potatoes and baby carrots and the cut was tender and delicious. Dessert of apple fritters and chocolate torte, both winners as well. Service was outstanding and our waiter went out of his way to make sure they used non-alcoholic bitters in our zero-proof cocktails. There are a lot of fine dining options in the area but we usually return to Guild House because we've never been disappointed. Highly recommended.
Very good food and eclectic menu. Descriptions a little misleading. Great service. Pricey. A little louder than expected. Would recommend.
We have been to The Guild House many times. It has consistently been a wonderful experience. We introduced 2 new people to the restaurant. They loved it as well. Everything about the meal was delightful. We will return again.
Always have GREAT service, but unfortuately not this time:(
