The atmosphere was fun a relaxed. A little loud. The food was delicious and the service was kind and attentive.
Our service was impeccable and the waiter was very accommodating after I requested a vegetarian item.
great joint at the discovery green. tranquil and comfortable.
I was recommended this place for my birthday dinner. It was perfect! Parking was easy cause of the valet parking. The service was attentive and helpful... good vibes re whole time! The food was amazingggggg 🤤🤤! I can’t wait to come back!
We enjoyed The Grove it’s a little pricey but the food was excellent.
Food did not come out as ordered salmon way under cooked! No plates for apps very disappointed in the experience I have loved this place will rethink next visit!
Awful awful evening of horrible service! This is my 3rd time dining. Last time was so awful I thought I would
Give it a second chance. But this time it took 15 minutes to get recognized at our table , another 15 minutes for our drink and the server totally forgot an entire entree, after also forgetting some of the appetizer. Truly my last time. So many better places in the area with much better service and food.
Very good product. Great ambiance. Great brunch selection
Ribeye was under-seasoned, which was surprising... I've had the ribeye here several times, and it was always perfectly seasoned (guessing they forgot to season.) The broccoli side, with it's rich and silky bleu cheese sauce, was decadent and divine! BF had blue crab Mac and cheese and the stout float for dessert, which he enjoyed. Service was incredibly friendly, bubbly, and personable. Noise level was annoyingly loud... so much so that my BF and I had to lean in and yell just to converse.
I took my 1st Love (Daddy) and my 2nd Love (Husband) to Brunch. We had a great time! The buffet options were absolutely FABULOUS.
Great penny drink options and great brunch!!! The staff was warm and welcoming.
Had a wonderful Father's Day. Thank you. Looking forward to the next visit!
Always have a great experience here. The brunch is good value for money too. The furniture is looking a bit tired and worn, but this is the only criticism I have. Will go back time and time again, it’s a lovely calm place.
We took my husband here for Father’s Day. We enjoyed it! I wish there were a few more kid friendly option like plain waffles or pancakes, but the menu was well suited for me. I especially loved the fish fritters.
Not great for a date night, hard to have a quiet conversation. The service was way better than the food. The menu items sounded great but everything was so bland and plain; the food was definitely not worth the money.
This restaurant positions well for events in several venues in the area.
I am not sure what to make of the Grove! They do good business because of the location, there are offices and big function locations all around so this is in a high traffic area. The food is always good quality and tasty but I find it pretty basic and really quite forgettable. I have eaten both here both evenings and lunchtimes, but the majority of my visits have been for lunch.
Beautiful setting, great food and a responsive wait staff. It was a lovely break in the middle of a conference.
Excellent service from Rick. My meat was not cooked exactly as I ordered but he promptly fixed it for me. We had a nice Anniversary dinner.
Our waiter Bronson was top notch we will be back there real soon when in Houston
A lovely spot in the the heart of Houston. Good service and menu.
Our server was one of these they said "yes I will get it right away...all the snappy responses" to our orders. Yet they were delivered mostly incorrect.
He rarely checked back on us.
The Grove sits at Discovery Green with a beautiful view. This review comes with a warning though. It’s ambiance is nice, bartender was great. It was very cold in the restaurant, uncomfortable. I dined here once before and the food and service was on point.
Today the food was ok to poor, and the service was terrible. It was a very slow night and we could rarely get our servers attention for a glass of wine, and if she brought something she walked away so quickly we couldn’t order. We had to get the hostess for our server to come back. The black drum fish was so spicy I couldn’t eat it and was not described that way on the menu. I doubt I will return with so many great restaurants in town. I rarely write reviews but I read them and appreciate a heads up for potential issues.
Pre baseball game dinner.
Bar needs help on mixed drinks.
Food was great.
Service was absolutely perfect and pleasant.
Our service was amazing. I didn't recall our server's name. He was a heavy set gentleman, black with a beard. He was awesome!
Awesome! We enjoyed ourselves so much. Food was great.
Had the pork chop. Very disappointing. Tough and not tasty. My friend had the Ahi tuna. It was awful as well. Guacamole appetizer was too mushy in consistency.
Server was nice but food was just so-so.
Great service and the waiter was amazing. Little disappointed in the class since first going here years ago. Ordered a 2009 Boudreaux and they brought a 2015. I am by no means a snob or expert of wine, but I can at least tell the difference in that. The manager asked if the wrong bottle was ok and I was a little insulted. I’m not paying that much for a 2015 bottle of Bordeaux. Many would find it rude to bring the wrong bottle of wine let alone ask if it’s ok to just switch up the vintage and vineyard.
The cheese board is amazing and paired perfectly with honey or a sweet jam, but I would have appreciated an explanation or a plate or a knife when the board was served.
The food was good and the chef is above average. I used to love the creativity of the menu, but it hasn’t changed a lot recently.
Overall the food was good, the waiter was kind and attentive, the sweet chocolate touch for our anniversary, and the Malbec we ended up getting were good. The precision to detail, having a decent sommelier (or one at all), and pacing of the meals could be improved. By no means was this enough to ruin our meal and still recommend giving it a try, but for the price point I would probably choose somewhere else with better attention to detail and a great sommelier.
The best brunch buffet we’ve experienced. The food was great and the service excellent.
Nice place. The steak was not really good. Overall good experience. Good service. Good wine
Excellent service. As a vegetarian I found the options to be plentiful. The opportunity to enjoy a beautiful scenery of Discovery Green Park while taking a wonderful meal is an addes bonus.
Great dining experience. We will go back!
We enjoyed a beautiful view of Discovery Green through the live oak trees. The brunch had a limited selection of lunch entres. The meat was over cooked and the shrimp and grits ran out of shrimp. The restaurant is beginning to show its age.
Easter brunch was a great experience. Food was excellent (with several of their traditional dishes), service was on point and the string quartet playing non stop good classical music was a very nice touch.
Great restaurant, had a wonderful funny waiter who was very attentive. Can't wait to go back for another brunch!
The best service I've ever had during a brunch buffet. In addition, the restaurant decided to have a small orchestra play. A very nice touch. The food was rotated regularly, ensuring it remained fresh.
