The Grove Wine Bar Lakeway
Great experience. Very nice from the time we walked in to when we left. Colleague and I actually stayed for several hours talking and staff made us feel very comfortable and not rushed. We will return.
Love the grove. Great food and excellent service.
We had wonderful service, food and wine. The server was more than helpful and knew what she was doing. We listened to her suggestions and we were happy with everything.
Food wasnt great at all. Went for our anniversary dinner. Very disappointed.
Overall service was awful. We had to wait on our server when we got there for about 20 minutes and her attitude was very miserable. The occasion was my birthday and y’all didn’t do anything for that but a couple table down someone had a birthday and they got cake with candles and y’all didn’t even at least take of the drinks form out bill. When we asked for our bill it took about 40 minutes and we saw the waitress just talking at the other table. I will not be going to the grove anytime soon.
One of our favorite places to spend the evening. Great food and wine selection. Highly recommend.
The Grove (we frequent both Cedar Park and Lakeway locations) is always consistent. We know that we can rely on getting both good service as well as good food at either location. The fig & proscuitto pizza was very good and the scallops were wonderful. We also had an assortment of other appetizers which were all very good. You really can't go wrong at the Grove!
Great food, fabulous location and excellent service 😊
Had a great brunch here overlooking the hills of Austin. It was a great time and the food was delicious!
Great place to have an intimate dinner or group fun. The view is awesome and the people are so great and friendly. Food was wonderful, the scallops were superb. Great wine flights for a nice happy hour too.
Food was excellent and service this night was not very good.
Wait service was very poor . Waited 15 minutes for drinks. Ignored us. Food okay.
Good food, casual atmosphere.
When in the area we always stop at the Grove, great food and service
Beautiful views, friendly service, great gluten free options. Highly recommended.
Our young male waiter was not the best example of good customer service. Upon arrival he approached our table but did not greet or ask what we wanted to drink...he just stood there waiting for us to say something first. Not until we were leaving did he simulate what perhaps could’ve been a smile. I do have to say that he replaced our pizza at no cost after it fell to the floor, off of the pizza stand.
Dirty bathrooms. Appetizers were stale and terrible presentation. Food arrived cold and subpar. We will not go back again.
Josh was an excellent server. My penne vodka pasta with shrimp could have been hotter. My friends said the pizza was good.
A nice neighborhood place for a nice dinner or to watch a game in the bar. A nice menu, a strong wine list and reasonable prices.
I have not visited this location in quite a while. The food was fine although I do feel that the Cedar Park locations food is a step above what we received at this location. I had the ahi tuna salad, tuna was wonderful but the salad itself was less than wonderful. Soup was very nice...and the impossible burger was just underpar the evening we visited...the chips to go along with the burger had the texture of sitting for a while. We are huge fans of The Grove and this location is beautiful but I'm not sure that I will be visiting this location for the food anytime soon. Service was great....No complaints at all with the ambience or service.
Beautiful view, great service, love the wine flights! Parking is a challenge - bring money for the valet, its worth it.
Grilled salmon came out cold. Vegetables in my salad were not fresh. Crab cake dressing way too spicy. My friends fish came out way too spicy as well. Not a good food experience.
We've been here several times and usually have good service and great food. This visit was for a personal celebration and sadly, not up to our expectations. Service was fair but my salmon was not done in the middle. Sent it back and the second dish was also not done in the middle (although a little better than the first time around). My date was done with his dish before I ever got my second plate; waiter nor manager came back to check on us after the second plate was delivered although we were not charged for my meal. The noise level this night seemed exceptionally high although it could have been because no one was sitting on the patio as it was a little chilly. Just disappointed this time around. :(
Awesome place to dine. Servers are great and food is delicious.
Beautiful scenery from the patio. Food is fantastic. Looking forward to trying their wine selections.
Food selection is limited. Service was poor since table wasn’t set with utensils and plates. Wine selection (by the glass) is limited to cheap reds. Ambience is nice for evening with my daughter. Furniture in main dining area needs a refresh. Looks like tables and chairs in a B&B.
Our whole family loves going to the Grove in Lakeway. Extensive wine list and food the kids will eat too! While I would not say it is a place you’ll want to take small children, you can certainly pull it off if you want a nice evening and didn’t get a baby sitter. I would say it’s a better place for date night or adult evening out. Service is excellent. Everything we’ve eaten here is great. We always order the crispy brussel sprouts. The salads are big enough to share.
Talked to restaurant at 5:18 to verify 7:30 reservation and confirm a table on the patio. When we arrived we were told we would have to sit inside because they did not have a table for us on the patio— irritating since we were celebrating a 70th.
Service was terrible! We had to remind server several times of missed orders for food and drinks. An extra drink was brought out and offered to us as a mistake...ended up on tab. Mgr acknowledged issue but did nothing to rectify it.
Food is delicious though and the Menu is great so it’s unfortunate that they cannot get service to balance out.
This restaurant is superbly positioned and has a good selection of healthy food options. Service is excellent. The restaurant is very noisy due to the construction of the dining room (hard floors etc.).
Prices are reasonable and there is a good choice of food for various dietary needs which makes it rare in Lakeway. This is not an intimate restaurant and is better suited to groups and friends. There is a nice outdoor patio with great views over the surrounding countryside.
My girlfriends and I chose this place - twice over the course of a weekend - because of the vegetarian and gluten-free options on the menu. The food was very good, but the service was hit-and-miss, so that's why I gave it 4 stars overall.
The first time we dined at the restaurant (for dinner), the waiter was very slow to check on us throughout the meal, left us with no water refills until we asked, and forgot to bring one of us soup we ordered.
The second time we dined at the restaurant (for brunch), the gaggle of young women clustered at the hostess stand chit-chatting refused to seat us at 10:55 a.m. because "we don't start seating until 11:00," despite the fact that we had reservations and despite the fact that we saw other people seated. Our waiter also failed to bring us the coffee or a non-brunch menu when we were given the (very short) brunch menu and we had to ask a bunch of questions to figure out whether we could actually order a la carte items during brunch. (But after that, he did a very good job and was very personable.)
I must like The Grove as I have eaten here 5 times this month so far. I guess when guests arrive from out of town, it is my go-to restaurant. As it ALWAYS impresses my guests. The views are jaw dropping. The food is always consistently good. The menu is wide and varied. So as a gourmand and former restaurant owner and culinary trained chef, I really appreciate the menu, the food, and the ambiance. Then there is the wine selection. BINGO. Always a winner.
Great food. Good Gluten free and Dairy free options.
This is the second time we came to celebrate birthdays in a casual atmosphere. Both times we had great service and yet not overly attentive/bothersome. Food was good and had a good feel overall!
Amazing restaurant, with great views and great food!
Marle is an awesome waitress who provided us with exceptional service. Our food was quite good and fresh and overall a good value. However, the manager decided to conduct an employee meeting near the dining room within ear shot of customers which all in our party were turned off by. We asked our waitress if this is a regular occurrence. The wait staff who were working the floor seemed to be covering many tables while many staff were occupied at this meeting. We won't return to this location.
Birthday lunch with friends. Server was excellent. Too noisy - acoustics are terrible. Lots of flies inside restaurant. We spent our time swatting flies out of food.
83rd birthday dinner
I held a surprise bridal shower for my daughter and a group of 10 guests at this restaurant. It was the perfect place with beautiful views offering excellent food, wine and service. I brought my own flowers and balloons and the table was ready for me 30 minutes earlier so I could set up. It was a wonderful evening!
My first experience at The Grove at Lakeway was stellar. This time was a bit disappointing because the service was slow and we had to sit outside - on a 100-degree day - even though I had a reservation. After inquiring if we could move inside, we were told that the preference must be made upon the time of reservation. This seems like a reasonable policy, but it would be most helpful to customers to let us know via OpenTable (if that's possible). Thank you.
