The Grove Wine Bar Lakeway
Great great great. Our waiter was amazing. Highly recommended
Cocktail service was very slow. Everything else was fine
Food was average quality but premium priced. Service was very casual, almost indifferent. So-so dinner that was not memorable at all over $100. Won't be back,
Great setting, especially for visitors to Austin;
Nice selection of food, thoughtfully prepared with outstanding presentation
Service was attentive, prompt and exceptionally affable
The appetizers (gulf oysters), calamari and Asian salad were delicious
We used online reservation for 45 minutes from when we clicked submit. We were met with a smile and had an excellent view in the outside eating area, up front! We had out of town visitors who appreciated the ceiling heaters, and the waiter Elliot was friendly and attentive. Food was delicious! Thanks
Wonderful, as usual. Our waiter, Elliott was terrific.
The Grove ensured that my party was situated so that we could enjoy the beautiful view from the main dining area. The wait staff (Aaron) was patient, informative, professional, and friendly to our party. The Grove is always a fantastic place for wine-lovers and those who appreciate quality food. Fantastic experience, as always!
Staff were too casual and inattentive; seemed like because we were not there at peak time, we were valued less. Odd. Decor was atrocious. Entire facility seemed like s tomb. Prices too high. Need more vegan options.
Have been to this location many times before, but definitely disappointed with the service this time.
I had specified on the reservation that this was for a birthday, but seems like that fact was completely ignored. Neither did we get a table with views (we were a party of 4 only), nor did our server even mention a birthday celebration, while other tables around us had both. Also, the server kept us waiting very long for every request. I would say this location is decent on most days, but will NOT recommend it for special occasions.
Great wine selection, delicious bruschetta and pasta. Great view!
We loved the view, the service was excellent, the food was not only delicious, but also picture worthy... impressive wine list (of course). Summer vegetable cappellini was great, salmon was great, burrata and tomato appetizer was beautifully plated with microgreens and toast. We loved it all and it was absolutely worth the drive from SoCo.
Great place. Menu has lots of options. Noise level a bit overwhelming
We were fortunate to have Austin as our waiter. We enjoyed dinner on the patio and were not rushed by the staff.
We love The Grove! The Lakeway location has the most stunning views, and you have a view from basically anywhere in the restaurant! We had a large group and everyone got something different...every single one of us loved our meal. Would definitely return!
The Grove has always been one of our favorites. This night was special because we were able to bring friends for their first visit. They were blown away by the greatness of The Grove! Everything was truly wonderful.
Had a business dinner meeting and it was a great experience. The service, food and views were great. Sharable plates or individual, whatever you want to go, they have it.
The Lakeside Grove Wine Bar is one of my favorite restaurants. It has a great view of Austin.
Our first time visiting,, and we will be back. Food was delicious, and our server did a great job.
I always look forward to The Grove and it’s great view of Greenbelt and downtown Austin. Menu is very diversified and can satisfy everyone!
Hostess was a little snippy but our waitress made up for her. Food and view was great!
We were made to wait for our table although had a reservation. Service was so slow. Food was mediocre. When we went to leave I didn’t tip on the card. I was planning to go to the host desk to get change of a 20$ and our waiter in front of 2 other waiters asked did he not give good service as he saw the receipt that there was no tip on the card. He made a rude comment and I then just walked out. I had a death in the family and already upset at the lunch. I had been visibly crying and then to be questioned and berated about a tip I planned to give him but then did not as he was rude. I’m so over this restaurant and the service especially from such a rude so called waiter.
Love the Grove! Perfect lunch spot, always packed, food is great. Reservations absolutely recommend it!
Our salads/appetizers came out with our meal. Very unacceptable! I would return to this restaurant but not order my meal until half way through with our appetizers.
Slow service and wait staff didn’t get anything right.
Casual but elegant with a wide variety of wine and dishes that satisfy many different tastes
Food and service wonderful. A bit noisy, but what a lovely view of the Hill Country. Will definitely go back.
Great food, great service, great view. Our party of six was attended to by a team of professional and courteous servers who helped ensure that we thoroughly enjoyed our meal and were able to wrap-up quickly once we realized we needed to depart sooner than expected. Our primary server took great care to ensure orders arrived quickly, bill was presented efficiently, and we were on our way to the next engagement.
Food and service were great, though I thought the portion size of the kelp noodle dish was a bit small. Overall, it was a lovely meal, and our server was great!
Though I would come back, here were our issues for the evening.
Too many flies.
The meatballs were mushy
The price for the drinks, a little over the top...
the seating is truly too close together - getting to the restroom through all the tables was not so fun.
Food was good, sat inside. Only concerning item were the flys. DISGUSTING!! Found it hard to enjoy my meal and company. I wonder how bad they are in the kitchen???
Grove is always my go to for meals with out of town guests, date night, or girls gathering. Had a great ladies dinner and the food was good, and on time. We weren't rushed and everyone for their order right. The Grove never missed a beat!
Great Italian food with an amazing hill country view. They have a large menu and many great wine choices.
Amazing. Loved everything about the experience. Food, atmosphere, and service were all outstanding. Would definitely come back.
My husband and I were in town visiting our daughter and son-in-law. We wanted a special night out and The Grove was the perfect place to celebrate.
Ahi tuna salad was delicious! Beautiful view!
We were from out of town and picked this place and it was a great place to eat! Food was great! The view was really nice as the restaurant is set overlooking the hilly Valley area.
The food was very mediocre. Our waiter, although very nice, was not trained on the basics. Excruciatingly slow wine bottle opening, careless serving with splashing, brought my salad out along side of my main course, the salad wasn't cold and crisp or interestingly prepared, poor food presentation, one meal (out of four) was sent back because of bad taste, the reservation site offered tables until 5:15 or after 8:45 even though it was made on Monday for Saturday then we spent our time surrounded by many empty tables, worst of all there were flies on the table and flying around when we first sat down. The most positive thing was the beautiful view through the restaurant's large windows which is why I gave it 2 stars instead of one.
Wonderful afternoon (4 hours) spent drinking, and eating, and laughing with great friends. Perfect setting out by the railing overlooking the vast and beautiful central Texas landscape.
I've always loved the Grove and this location. I brought some friends with me to celebrate a birthday and they had never been. They were all so complimentary of the atmosphere, the waitstaff and the wonderful food that met all of our dietary needs! You created some new fans!
