The food quality and selection has gone down, during brunch.
The service and bartender (Nacy) are the best. She's personable and makes the best drinks...
The outdoor appearance was the most inviting. However, I would have enjoyed my visit during daylight hours.
Birthday brunch service could have been better felt like the waiter didn’t give enough attention
Reduced brunch menu for the same price, long lines, ran out of ingredients to make drinks.
The food is nothing to rave about. If you want to serve shrimp and grits, please use a Louisiana recipe. They ran out of plates and coffee cups.
Delicious food and very good service. Be sure to get their early to ensure you get all the options on the buffet.
Interior was nice. Atmosphere was loud and lots of vulgar language. More of a bar atmosphere not an upscale experience. Would not recommend for business or professional dining.
Friendly staff but slow service and extremely slow kitchen. Steak Quesidilla was like ground something I’ve never seen. Could not eat it. Replacemext food had to get to go because took too long ( mashed potatoes and vegetables) Rest of out group food ok. Could be so much better if kitchen and service steps it up.
This restaurant by far is one of the best in DC! The service was incredible, the ambiance was perfect, the food was excellent!
They were expecting us! Warmly welcomed. Reserved a table for three inside but it was such a beautiful day that we preferred to eat outside, also it was a little chilly inside. The staff was accommodating. They also made us fresh lemonade that was refreshing. Each person enjoyed his/her meal. The menu covered lunch and brunch options, as healthy as you want. Tacos had surf, sand, and turf options. The fried chicken tacos with mumbo sauce were innovative and tasty and served with hot french fries. The BLT had a turkey option. It was a hefty size. Wraps came with a choice of French or sweet potato fries. Our server was attentive - didn't forget us outside. It's a good place to dine.
We were immediately greeted when we arrived and offering indoor or outdoor seating. It was beautiful looking over the treelined golf course. We helped ourselves to the buffet which was plentiful since we had arrived before the crowd. The food was good and the selection was great for the price. I had a nice selection of fresh fruit, salad, jerk chicken, shrimp and grits and mac and cheese. It was all tasty. Unfortunately, once the after-church crowd arrived, the staff didn't seem to be prepared. They ran out of plates, then cups for coffee and they were slow to restock food so lines were forming in every area waiting for items. We waited patiently and enjoyed the last of our meal. The waitstaff was less than stellar. We had to ask for utensils and refills on water. At the close of the afternoon, we waited 20 minutes for our check and eventually had to get up to find a staff person to pay. I want to come back but have to be prepared to arrive before noon on Sunday and make no plans afterward to avoid being late to my next activity. The conversation and friendship matched the outdoor atmosphere so I will give it another try.
We went for Caribbean and Reggae night to celebrate my birthday and we had a great time. The server was so sweet, the atmosphere was fun, the band was so good and talented, and the food was just enough and delicious!
Wings were outstanding... service was also very good even though the one bartender was busy.
Great food and great service. A little slow, but we weren’t in a rush. Ambiance is nice as well. We will be back
Even though there was a scheduling mistake the staff went out of their way to accommodate for us. Everything was wonderful and they were superb. Definitely going to be in this beautiful restaurant again
Ok place didn't like food or waitress and I'm not sure if I would go back. Price was not bad just needed more food options but everything else around the restaurant was nice
This place deserves zero stars. The service was horrible as they were understaffed. The air conditioning was not working significantly enough to cool the facility so it was very warm. Flies were everywhere. Three people found hair in their food. DO NOT EAT HERE
While I would recommend The Grove to a friend, my last on the 18th was poor. I don't know if the air conditioning was not working or what, but it was extremely warm, so much so that I did not enjoy my meal. There was an floor air conditioning unit but it did not do very well in cooling it down.
My next visit will be when the weather is not as hot and the facility can keep up with regulating the air.
Food, and ambiance was good, waitress could stand a lil more customer service training.
A workers loud family was there and the children were absolutely unbearable
Brunch buffet had several options and everything tasted good. The service was lack luster being that we had to hunt down the server for water refills. Parking is the biggest issue.
Absolutely beautiful location. Service was great, food not so much. Ambiance and service definitely makes up for lackluster food. Truly enjoyed myself and the Lemon Drop Martini was excellent. I had the steak wrap which was not good st all. I will definitely return because the staff was amazing and the location excellent.
Great service, great food and fabulous staff!!!
The Grove is amazing! Unfortunately, the day we went the A/C was not working well. We were sweating as were the other guest. The food was amazing and the staff kept a positive attitude. Low rating for ambiance due to the extreme heat. It was 107 index that day...
Although there was a mix-up with our reservation because the restaurant was closed for a private event, management accommodated us and made us feel welcome. The food was excellent and the service was as well. We will definitely be back. Thanks for your excellent customer service and professionalism.
I think they need more variety with price point of food and they started breaking down before the designated time. This means that people in the last seating didn’t get their money’s worth. At the same time, the lady who worked the omelette station was phenomenal. Unfortunately they only allow you to tip your waiter by card and I wasn’t carrying cash. Though I asked how I could leave her a tip they gave me no option.
My server was Nick and he was very attentive as well as Kiera (the bartender) great experience as always
The Brunch was Wonderful, clean and Good. The customer service was excellent.
excellent customer service and food was great!
great idea !
This was our second visit, and, I chose The Grove
to celebrate Father’s Day based on our first visit. The food and atmosphere were good. The collard greens were overpowered by the heavy smoke flavor. The carrot cake is wonderful, even asked the bar staff where it is purchased. Our waiter was noticeably inattentive. For example, when the guests at the table next to us were seated their waiter poured the water as they seating down. We poured our own water. When he finally came around and we asked for the bottle to be refilled, he forgot. So we waited more. At 11:30 the restaurant was not that busy, but he just seemed not to be around. Someone else removed our used plates from the table. We had to wait for him to appear to request the check.
The setting is very nice and we will return but I definitely expect better service. It’s not like your server has to do a lot because it is a buffet, but attitude is everything.
Thank you for the opportunity to provide feedback.
Father's Day brunch was excellent. My husband liked the Yuengling, and I loved the accompanying mimosas! Great selection and beautiful scenery on golf course. We sat on the balcony, where there was easy access to buffet and we could hear the Motown tunes playing without a lot of extra noise. We will definitely go back.
Food was good and my 5 year old enjoyed her food. We hoping they were going to have a Saturday brunch but that’s only kn Sunday’s.
My 3 sisters and I had a great time at the fish fry. Loved the atmosphere and great bartender! We had a great waiter also very pleasant and helpful! My sisters and I said we felt like we were having a girlfriends outing.
This was my second time having a meal at The Grove but it was the first Sunday Brunch. I will return and recommend it to others.
Everything was fantastic! The atmosphere, the food was scrumptious and flowers for all the Mothers for Mother's day was the icing on the cake! Thank you for making Mother's day so great!
The Grove is a nearby restaurant in the nearby Oak Creek community. Lots of options and special events. We attended the Mother's Day Brunch. The Omelette Station had lots of toppings. The remaining breakfast items were good, especially the shrimp and grits! Plus there was an array of fresh fruits and pastries. The lunch items were real soutern-styled fried chicken, mac & cheese, collard greens and a few more items. The desserts were tempting...but how much can one eat?
The waiter was on point but the prices was outrageous not worth it
I took my mother, sister, and daughter for an early Mother's Day Brunch and they enjoyed The Grove.
The atmosphere was very casual. The .food was delicious and the price was reasonable. Great place to eat brunch and relax.
This restaurant is comparable to any top shelf restaurant. Good food and great customer service.
Server was ok. But there was no food on the brunch Buffett. Literally all the trays were empty and I had just arrived. I had to scavenge for food like hunger games or game of thrones
