Great staff. The food was amazing. Great drinks! Try the banana pudding pancakes!
Celebrating my partners birthday. Everything went so well.
I love the Grove! Gary and Necy are awesome, friendly, energetic, personable, and professional. Necy is so flexible in how she prepares beverages and truly caters to the person. Necy’s mixology skills are outstanding and creates delicious concoctions. Beverages that I’ve tried and not liked, I’ve enjoyed at the Grove.
My Brunch Spot
Everything was great considering all of the restrictions as a result of Covid. I definitely will come back once things are lifted.
Brunch with my mini me!!!
Great food
Great bar service
Environment was clean.
Table for “1” isn’t bad at all
Food was amazing and ambiance was terrific! However, slow service with only a small customers.
Great Sunday breakfast menu!!! Fried whiting, scrambled eggs and grits #foodiepost
I went there with my wife and daughter. They both ordered the old bay wings. They were delish! I ordered the Ox Tails and again, the food was delish. I had visited this place for a Sunday brunch a couple of years ago and was disappointed, however, their food game has been stepped up quite a bit. We sat outside and enjoyed the COVID-free environment. Love this spot for a drink and an outdoor cigar, etc. Good Spot.
Beautiful day and view. The atmosphere was calm and relaxed. Chicken and waffles were perfect. Parking was a challenge but that’s the only complaint. Gary. Our server was great! We’ll definitely be back.
Great outing in the neighborhood if you don’t want to travel into the city and you want a nice evening outdoors with some ambiance! The patio heaters are a nice touch!
We got together for a friends birthday. The food and the drinks were great but the service was even better. This is one of our fave spots and we would frequent more pre COVID. It was good to get back.
Great meal with friends. The food and vibes were great!
In light of the current Covid-19 The Grove did a great job of being mindful of the current constraints! The food and drinks were excellent & arrived at the table in a timely amount of time. Our reservation was at 2:30 pm on a Sunday. I felt comfortable and safe. It was nice to be out for a change and this was my first time since the lockdown.
A hidden gem to me. I came across this on my Facebook Newsfeed and brought my husband here for the Father's Day Brunch.
Food was spectacular and atmosphere was perfect! We shall return again!
A hidden gem. We had reservation for a father's day brunch and the food and atmosphere was great I plan on going again.
Better than it’s been in a long time. I am a resident and had stopped going over because the service was usually so slow. We had Gary as our server and he was excellent. Attentive, friendly and professional.
Very nice server and the food was good
I always enjoy the food, drink, staff, and others when dining at The Grove.
Graduation celebration
Great classy restaurant and the food and service is fantastic!
Really it deserves a zero rating. We went there for Sunday brunch. Our reservation was for 1:30 pm. We waited for a good 5 minutes before a host appeared. He checked us in and seated us. After waiting for awhile, the waiter showed up. Took our drink order. We went to buffet area and were surprised to see that the food selection was limited...no bacon, a few sausages, some dried up fried chicken parts, some collard greens that looked unappetizing, some kind of shredded beef wrapped in pastry dough. However the mac and cheese and shrimp and grits were tasty, there wasn't much left to eat. They did have an omelet station but the line was extremely long. I would have to wait in line just for scrambled eggs. They never replenished the bacon or sausage trays. All in all it was an unpleasant experience. I will never go back.
Several people around me at other tables but I sometimes feel that my party and I are alone. In a room full of other people The Grove seems private. I enjoy the Sunday Brunch. My favorite is the delicious homemade macaroni and cheese. I tasted the beef egg rolls for the first time on my last visit. Now it's my second favorite. I would though like to have smoked salmon and bagels with cream cheese on the cold bar which is my only reason for 3 stars because the present food IS tasty and flavorful. I recommend The Grove for Sunday Brunch.
My server Nicholas was Awesome and very informative. The manager on site was also very helpful when my server Nicholas was away performing other tasks.
The Grove is a hidden gem! I love their Sunday brunch, although it’s hit or miss with a few items. Once I went and there was no mac n cheese and the fried chicken was done, but a little cold. Also, the waffles are not made to order like the omelettes so they’re overall no bueno unless you catch them as soon as they come out. The made to order omelettes are great, and so are the shrimp and grits! It’s a good value for the money if you have a decent appetite. The cleanliness, ambiance and customer service are consistently excellent! Their weeknight dinners and special events are great too!
My niece had to rate the food. I was unable to eat as I received conflicting information on which items contained butter.
Fun night! Karaoke After Dark at the Grove was a really good time! The crowd and atmosphere had a good vibe and though crowded the staff worked hard to accommodate everyone. I had a buffalo chicken sandwich and it was delicious! I will definitely go to the Grove again!
The food quality and selection has gone down, during brunch.
The service and bartender (Nacy) are the best. She's personable and makes the best drinks...
The outdoor appearance was the most inviting. However, I would have enjoyed my visit during daylight hours.
Birthday brunch service could have been better felt like the waiter didn’t give enough attention
Reduced brunch menu for the same price, long lines, ran out of ingredients to make drinks.
The food is nothing to rave about. If you want to serve shrimp and grits, please use a Louisiana recipe. They ran out of plates and coffee cups.
Delicious food and very good service. Be sure to get their early to ensure you get all the options on the buffet.
Interior was nice. Atmosphere was loud and lots of vulgar language. More of a bar atmosphere not an upscale experience. Would not recommend for business or professional dining.
Friendly staff but slow service and extremely slow kitchen. Steak Quesidilla was like ground something I’ve never seen. Could not eat it. Replacemext food had to get to go because took too long ( mashed potatoes and vegetables) Rest of out group food ok. Could be so much better if kitchen and service steps it up.
This restaurant by far is one of the best in DC! The service was incredible, the ambiance was perfect, the food was excellent!
They were expecting us! Warmly welcomed. Reserved a table for three inside but it was such a beautiful day that we preferred to eat outside, also it was a little chilly inside. The staff was accommodating. They also made us fresh lemonade that was refreshing. Each person enjoyed his/her meal. The menu covered lunch and brunch options, as healthy as you want. Tacos had surf, sand, and turf options. The fried chicken tacos with mumbo sauce were innovative and tasty and served with hot french fries. The BLT had a turkey option. It was a hefty size. Wraps came with a choice of French or sweet potato fries. Our server was attentive - didn't forget us outside. It's a good place to dine.
We were immediately greeted when we arrived and offering indoor or outdoor seating. It was beautiful looking over the treelined golf course. We helped ourselves to the buffet which was plentiful since we had arrived before the crowd. The food was good and the selection was great for the price. I had a nice selection of fresh fruit, salad, jerk chicken, shrimp and grits and mac and cheese. It was all tasty. Unfortunately, once the after-church crowd arrived, the staff didn't seem to be prepared. They ran out of plates, then cups for coffee and they were slow to restock food so lines were forming in every area waiting for items. We waited patiently and enjoyed the last of our meal. The waitstaff was less than stellar. We had to ask for utensils and refills on water. At the close of the afternoon, we waited 20 minutes for our check and eventually had to get up to find a staff person to pay. I want to come back but have to be prepared to arrive before noon on Sunday and make no plans afterward to avoid being late to my next activity. The conversation and friendship matched the outdoor atmosphere so I will give it another try.
