Amazingly fresh and high-quality food!
beautiful decor and friendly staff
I had a reservation for 8:15PM last night 6/9/18. We arrived at 8:05PM. The Manager or Owner with a very nasty attitude told us to go to the bar in the next room (Sidebar) and that we won't be seated until 8:15PM. We went to the bar ordered drinks and waited and waited at 8:40PM I spoke with the manager at 8:40pm he stated our table is now ready in the Sidebar room.. I told him that I made a reservation so I could be in the Main Dinning Room not the noisy sidebar restaurant to which he stated again with a nasty attitude, he could bring the table in to this room and put it against the wall in the back.(where the waiter/waitress traffic going back and forth to the kitchen would be unbearable) AT THIS POINT I SAID NO THANK YOU AND WE CHOOSE TO LEAVE.....
WARNING BECAUSE THEIR FOOD IS SO HIGHLY RATED THEY THINK THEY CAN GET AWAY WITH NASTY ATTITUDES (READ OTHER REVIEWS ON OTHER WEB SITES ) NOT SO!!! THERE ARE PLENTY OF EXCELLENT RATED RESTUARANTS JUST DOWN THE STREET....
Wonderful Dinner at The Grove again. Having visited Delray Beach a year ago and recalling our experience at The Grove, we booked again and made the trek from our Ft Lauderdale hotel. It was just as good as our first visit. A small but focused "fresh foods" menu, excellent service, and neighborly ambiance made for a nice evening. The food was delicious. Fresh, well prepared fish, a very interesting chicken offering, and a tasty starter of burrata and fresh peas. The wine by the glass list is short but it is obvious that someone is paying attention to the selections as the two we had were excellent and well fit to the menu. Great service, great food, good wine, nice ambiance....who could want more?
As always fantastic🍷
We ate there last week and the main courses were terrible. Super disappointed. The host who greeted us when we arrived was great and very nice. Had a drink at the bar which in hindsight we should have just ate there. Our appetizers were great except we should have been informed that the cauliflower would be served cold. Still was very tasty. My lady had the scallops which were way over salted and I had the pork belly which was mushy and was quite awful and I love pork belly. The waitress did nothing to rectify the situation other than to apologize and drop off the check. So we paid and left. Shame we had high hopes. Also, it was a nice touch to bring us a glass each of I believe it was champagne. I unfortunately could not drink it as I am allergic to it. This was our 1st time dinning there. We eat out quit often and are def foodies. We became interested once they added the bar as neither of us are drink wine often. We have spoken to quite a lot of people and all had the same thing to say....very inconsistent restaurant and if a restaurant is supposed to do one thing correctly is to be consistent. Expensive as well. Will try eating at the bar at some point but will be a while before we try this place again. I also sent them a text via Facebook and they didn't even bother to respond...nice.
Was a little apprehensive after my husband read a few reviews but I always like to see for myself. Not disappointed. The restaurant itself though small, has an urban feel to it. The house wine was phenomenal and the food was unbelievable, my friends were blown away. Service was exceptional. Carolyn was a doll and very attentive. Beet salad a must, I had scallops that were exceptional and the guys had octopus that was like butter. My friend had to have
The special sausage dish and she could not stop talking about it. Desserts were great and we ate Nutella doughnuts and monkey bread. Not cheap but not over the top expensive for the quality.
Excellent experience. Filet was tender and juicy and cooked to perfection. Tuna and fois gras appetizer was loved by the gentlemen.
As the mother of a chef/culinary director. This is one of my favorites in Delray Beach. Every item was cooked to perfection. The octopus was the best I have ever eaten.
My girlfriend and I just had an amazing meal here. We had the grilled octopus it was so good we ordered a second one. Their pasta dish was out of this world and Courtney was fantastic. All around 5 out of 5. We will be back !!!!! If you are a foodie don’t miss this place.
Terrific food, best in Delray Beach. Service was very attentive.
The best food and service EVER! A memorable meal once again!
I visit boca raton 4 times a year and always visit the Grove. Ialways specials depending on the season(truffles). It is a must!
Great next door addition. The ambiance and service great as always. It was a nice surprise being received with a glass of Prosecco because it was our anniversary. You must go to this place.
Allow lots of time as very slow. However the food was fabulous.
Our meal was outstanding as always! The appetizer of pappardelle pasta was excellent. We both had the shrimp and zucchini tortellini as our entree. Excellent also! For dessert we had the monkey bread because it’s our favorite.
The best meal I've had in South Florida maybe ever, but definitely in a very long time.
As always: Superb!
Creative food, beautifully presented.
Great wine list, craft cocktails.
We celebrated my birthday at a beautiful table outside. Perfect food, service and ambience!! Thank you Paul for the wonderful glass of Champagne!! The Grove is seriously the best restaurant in Delray Beach!
Everything was fabulous! Molly, our server was wonderful...incredibly authentic and intentional. I highly recommend The Grove. Nothing was disappointing. Exceptional restaurant.
Inventive and well curated. The Moroccan spiced cauliflower and scallops for starters were excellent. We had a well seasoned chicken with polenta and Brussels sprouts cooked perfectly. The tuna with seasonal vegetables was very good. Our server was terrific and the setting was attractive and cool with extremely friendly service.
The service was awful. Waited over an hour. It was also very cold and many complained before they adjusted the thermostat. The
Manager was very smug.
Always a very pleasant dining experience, with an attentive staff. Food is creative and always cooked correctly.
Always a great dining experience here. Food is creative and beautifully presented. This is one of our absolute favorites!
Lovely dinner; food is great.
No one greeted us. Got squished into a table in the corner. No water service. No bread. Inattentive waiter. Food was good but ambience was not. No need to ever go back
Very limited menu and the items on it are overpriced. I will not be going back.
We were lucky enough to be seated at a table in a secluded patio in front of the restaurant. Very private and quite special. We shared a Wonderful spiced cauliflower appetizer, then my wife had the brioche-crumb covered chicken (amazing) and I had the ricotta and truffle ravioli (good, but not as good as the chicken). Wine menu offered a good range of choices - the Chardonnay we selected paired perfectly with the food. Service was friendly and attentive. Definitely worth a visit.
It is the best food in Delray!! Wonderful brioche bread!!
There's a lot to be said for consistency. So many restaurants in Delray are spotty - a good meal than a meh meal. Not the Grove. Every time we've eaten there, it's perfect from top to bottom. Our table was ready, our service (Alyssa) was impeccable, the timing is always great, food wonderful, and the vibe in the place is special. Overall, I still think it's the finest place to eat in the city, and the fact that it's in Pineapple Grove makes parking and access easier.
Was my first time at the Grove and I will definitely be back! Everything from the ambiance, to the service and food was fantastic.
Highly recommend the portobello mushroom soup and chicken entree.
Todd was great and creative. Welcome upon entry table wasn’t quite ready but they were quick to set it up. Service was slow...very slow.
Service was super slow and the place wasn’t even crowded! Food was delicious but the lack of service “killed the buzz”. I hope they get it right sooner than later.
You know when you're talking to someone at a party and they can't be bothered to pay attention because they are too busy looking over your shoulder for someone better to see? That's The Grove's owner, or maître d, or whomever is running the show.
I had a wonderful experience there in November, had wanted to share it with some restaurant connoisseur friends. It took weeks to get a 6:30 reservation, which turns out is just a placeholder for the later, preferred diners. We were late, no fault of our own (late plane, tennis tournament in Delray, etc), called numerous times on the way to let them know, no answer, were met with this owner who informed me right away that we would need to leave the table by 8:30. We hustled through dinner and would have been finished, but were waiting on slow dessert and bill delivery when he came by to say "OK Kids, time to go". Really.
Now, we aren't the young, hipster crowd, so I guess that is what is preferable; middle-aged and wealthy doesn't cut it. It was some trouble to collect our group there and I was embarrassed at our experience, sorry I made the suggestion.
The food was terrific, I love the ambiance, the waitress lovely. Too bad that the attitude will keep us from going back. They will miss us when it's July and slow...
The food, ambiance and service was excellent. So glad i was able to get a reservation there for Valentine's Day!
The finest food in South Florida. Creative. Beautiful presentation. A gem!
Great restaurant. Always delicious!
Consistently the best meal in town! Food just explodes on the palate. Wine list is unique and outstanding. The service is outstanding as well, and extremely knowledgeable of the wine list and menu, offering great recommendations.
