The prices were too high for everything...a side of mashed potatoes was $7.00...way too much....the fresh oysters were bland....the grilled oysters were okay,,but not great....the desserts were terrible....

Lovely lunch with friends. Grilled Oyster is rapidly becoming a favorite weekday lunch spot. Start to finish good food and service. A little clattery noisy, so we tend to arrive after 1 when the sound level drops. Staff are great, and let us enjoy our friends, take our time, and linger.

The food was great. Our waiter was great. Our table was in the middle of traffic and waiters bumped my chair literally every minute of the whole night. Will give them another chance, but they really need to fix the traffic problem.

We enjoyed our selections of oysters rockefeller, bowl of littleneck clams in wine/garlic/butter sauce and the jumbo crab cakes. All extremely fresh and delicious. Our server, Kevin, was attentive, and allowed us to order our first course, while we reviewed the menu, to choose a main course. Will return.

Lunch with cousins we had not seen in years. Simple tables and such in a small plaza. But such wonderful seafood. So many choices, crab cakes were big at our table and they were delicious. Gluten free also.

The server we had was very unfriendly in the beginning . He warmed up towards the end . Maybe he was under pressure but there was not a lot of tables in the restaurant. And from experience of being a server myself i know panicking under pressure definitely shows ... i bought my family from out of town here because i had a good experience my first time here but they definitely wasn’t impressed by the service

I love the Grilled Oyster! I had the cioppino (fish stew) which was delicious. The seafood was perfectly cooked and the sauce flavorful (though a little thicker than a CA ciopinno ). They didn’t skip on the seafood, either. I had enough left over for dinner the next day. The waiter was friendly, attentive without being cloying, and professional. We were trying to decide between two types of wine and he graciously brought us a taste to try. Go with the cracklin Sauvignon blanc with the stew- a perfect pairing. Highly recommend.

Felt like they resented the restaurant week clients and food portion and presentation matched it . If you don’t want to do it right, don’t do it . We go to find new restaurants we can go back to ... cross this one off . Too bad as it is close and food was tasty

Restaurant was quite empty Now I know why The waiter was invisible and after telling him no cheese the meal arrived with cheese No apology. Unless whoops is an apology? My dining companion finished dinner before my corrected meal arrived We had hoped to dine together but that didn’t happen . Waiting and waiting for a check No we won’t be back

My wife and I enjoyed a delightful dinner during restaurant week. The local oysters were very flavorful, the crab cake was full of lump crab, the salmon was properly cooked with a nice sauce, and the raspberry OllieJack was a great way to finish the meal. We'll definitely be going back.

We went during restaurant week and had a chance to try some different food! It was all delicious. Many had the salmon, a couple tried the crab cakes, and I had the filet. Not a bad word from the group. Dessert was absolutely delicious. We had the key lime, which was huge. But I preferred the raspberry mousse. OMG! That was so tasty. Love the restaurant decor as well. Will definitely go back again.

I had requested in the Open Table reservation a quieter table in this bustling restaurant for conversational purposes. The hostess initially directed me to a centrally located table but was very accommodating of my query about a table in the back room. My friend and I had enjoyed that location previously as there are only a few tables. Our experience this time was just as rewarding, as “back room” diners are never shorted on attention here, whether it’s from the waitperson (Christiane this particular evening) the table staff or even the owner himself who checks on diners and appears to be involved in all aspects of service here. Combine that with an inventive and delicious menu, good wine list with recommended pairings, and it makes for a first rate experience.

We had a wonderful New Year’s Eve dinner at the Grilled Oyster. Service was fantastic and the food was delicious. The crab dip was yummy and ample enough for four to share. We also had the special rockfish ceviche which was refreshing. I ordered their special entree of crab stuffed flounder which was very light and delectable with some nicely prepared root vegetables. Others at my table enjoyed their selections too. Highly recommend!

I made reservations for my husband, ten year old, and me for NYE. I am bored of eating beef at steakhouses on NYE. When my dad found out we were coming here, he asked us to add him and my mom to our res, so it became a party of five, which was easily changed because NYE was over a week away. I had the GOC Clam Chowder for my app. This was the BEST chowdah I’ve ever tasted. The soup wasn’t too thick and clumpy, there were a ton of oysters, including two littlenecks in the shell right in the soup. It was tasty and delicious. 5/5 stars. I tasted the fried calamari as well. Another 5/5 star app. The calamari was perfectly breaded, crisp and tasty. It was not greasy at all. Next app I tasted was the crab dip. Oh. My. Gahd. It was perfect. The balance of crab to cheesy sauce was fantastic. It was very tasty, and was not overwhelmed by the dip “background.” You all know how some dips taste too cheesy or too saucy? Well, this isn’t like that. This crab dip is something I would eat as a meal it’s that delicious. The great thing about going with several people here is sharing many delicious appetizers. For dinner, I had the rockfish. The fish on top was crunchy, almost like fish bacon. The meat was tender. I enjoyed it. It came with roasted baby potatoes and asparagus. This is nothing against the fish itself, but I forgot that I tend to get bored of rockfish whenever wherever I order it. I always forget this. I ate all but the last third of the filet, so I gave it to my husband, who devoured it. My asparagus was overly charred but it didn’t bother me bc I was so full from the apps. My parents ordered the key lime mousse for dessert. It was big and delicious—perfect to cap off a delicious, perfect seafood dinner. I live right near GOC, and don’t get why I don’t come here more often. GOC will definitely be in our restaurant rotation from now on. The food was delicious!

We sat in a booth which was nicely located, ordered the steamed whole lobster which was delicious and a good value. The beet salad which we split was a bit tired. We'd definitely go back. The noise level was high no doubt because of groups the Friday before Christmas.

This is a delightful restaurant, relaxed, quiet enough to have intimate conversations, and serving good seafood, well-prepared. We thoroughly enjoyed the oysters, the fish was very nicely done, and we will be back. (This was our first visit.) if I might make a suggestion, it is that the wine list include a Chablis, something not a Chardonnay and not a floral white. Also, we found the glasses of wine overpriced for the value.

Clearly the restaurant was under staffed on the Tuesday before Thanksgiving. I brought friends who were in town for the holiday and was embarrassed by the lousy service - 20 minutes before anyone even asked for a drink order, followed by another long wait to put in our dinner order and finally a long wait to get the check. The good food salvaged the evening but we passed on dessert because we didn't want to wait any longer.
