The Grille on Congress Ratings and Reviews
I have been going to the Grille ever since it opened. I can never finish my meal, and never order anything but a main course or sandwich. The hamburger is very good, the club sandwich is my usual order, and at dinner I usually get one of the excellent chicken items. My friend ordered swordfish and thought it was quite good. Always dependable, always good, this is a go-to choice for normal good food and service when friends or business associates are in town.
Have been here several times, but we were disappointed this time. As usual, the cheddar bisquits are to die for! My sesame crusted salmon was good, but hubby's rib-eye had to be sent back as it was so tough he couldn't cut with a knife or chew it. Kim brought him a replacement filet mignon which was much better. Our friend didn't care for her duck. So...2 out of 2 were satisfied which should be a higher percentage! Will think about coming back.
First time I have been disappointed New Year's Eve. 7:00 pm reservation. Honored. Special lobster tail @ $42.00 was so small , I was hungry and not a large eater. Special menu listed one special dessert with no price. Looked like it was included. Was not! After a bit of a fuss they offered us one...for four people. Not good enough. More complaint
got four.. Wonderful waitress but manager would not come out to talk to us. Salad included on all menu entrees, but not with an expensive "special". RIP-OFF.
We went for an early New Year's Eve dinner. Service was both trained and attentive. The appetizers and dessert were excellent (mozzarella caprese and ahi tuna, and carrot cake, respectively) but the main course while large (too large?) was underwhelming. The steak was a bit darker than the medium rare requested, too thick and fatty for a typical NY Strip, and without any noticeable seasoning, and the fingerling potatoes were tasteless. It's a solid neighborhood place but I won't be ordering steak again -- back to the wonderful duck and tuna entrees.
We visited for the second time and the food was great. We had the ribs and the portion was huge and tasty. My wife said it was the best Salmon she has ever had, and that's saying a lot. We all started the meal with a scone, and while none of the four of us thought we were going to eat it, a little bite turned into us eating the entire scone.
Our server Matthew was professional and got us everything we needed, and in a timely manner.
We are coming back soon.
We enjoyed a really nice dinner, but it is an older crowd for sure. My Husband enjoyed the bone in rib eye and was thrilled with size and flavor. I had the Asian Salmon with stir fried vegetables, delicious. My daughter ordered chicken piccata and had enough to take home for a 2nd meal. Very friendly staff, a nice evening.
This is the most consistent, moderately priced restaurant in Boca.
The service, the quality of the food and interesting menu are all outstanding!
Try the duck,Murray’s Chicken, The New York Strip or any of their wonderful fish entrees. You will become a regular as we have.
We were meeting friends to attend a college football game Sat night, the Grill was a perfect place to meet for a Pre-Game meal. It's easy to get to right off I95 and Yamato. Close to FAU Stadium. The food was great. The Service was perfect ( love the little hot towels) and the price is reasonable and a great value.
My swordfish was raw, our friends salmon had bones in it... we were celebrating our husbands birthdays and waitress brings a piece of cake with no candles, no knife to cut it and soup spoons to eat it!!!... really??? Finally had to call manager over to rectify this.
