Love eating here on a date night and even a night with the kids. Kids eat Free day is a great savings for us.
We normally have a great dinner here. Burgers are very good.
On this occasion it was HORRIBLE.
When we came to the table I was immediately grossed out, and told the waitress as much. The table was covered in a dirty liquid and the carpet was covered in food bits and wet spots. Two of the chairs we covered in the same , beer smelling liquid. We replaced them with two chairs at the next table (so someone else would have the same issue...). Later, my daughter cut her finger on the chair next to her...from the broken glass bits that were on the seat (the chair we didn't move but i guess should have). Now we know why there was so much liquid on the table! Horrible bussing. Fortunately, the bar tender had a first aide kit...manager not around. The waitress never asked us for more drinks when we waited 45 mins for the food to come. When the check finally came, we waited another 15 mins for her to come collect it ( I couldn't wait to leave). When she came back, my told told her about the glass embedded in the chair...she was confused but not that concerned.
Wont be going back for a while.
They had a golf outing that day. Louder than usual. Piano player was great. Food and service great too
Our first visit. Celebrated my birthday and my sister's birthday. We absolutely loved it! Food was delicious, server (Cara) was excellent. Can't wait to go back!!
1/2 price burgers on Monday were fantastic!! Service was awesome! Though, it's not truly Spring yet, the view here is awesome, too!
My family has always had Easter Brunch here and always enjoyed their buffets. This year, however, they did an a la carte menu for Easter. We loved it! We loved being able to choose from brunch or lunch food.
Shannon was outstanding as our server and bartender and Chef Miguel and his kitchen whipped up delicious dishes to appeal even to the most picky of eaters - my kids!
Really enjoyed the fun egg hunt and photo opps with the Easter bunny. Was well organized and my kids really loves the bunny and treats!
The staff were very obliging and prompt and informstuve
Food was very good. Place was packed and therefore, exceptionally noisy. Service was exscellent.
This was our first visit so we did not know what to expect. Overall we had a great experience. Our server Kevin was great. Very helpful and responsive. The food was the highlight. Great flavor and portion size. The ambiance was nice. It was louder than I expected for a golf course restaurant, but we were seated right next to the bar which could have been the issue. We will be back!
Good food and service
Nachos were burnt and the St. Patty's Day sausage special made me ill.
Delightful and fun experience tonight for St. Patrick's Day. Sean and his trainee, Chelsea, were outstanding servers and we always love our drinks from Jenny, Craig, and Shannon.
Thank you to Chef Miguel and his team for bringing Irish food to Middletown! Truly reminded me of my Irish Grandmother's home cooking!
We went for family meal on St Pats day and discovered they were having dancers for Irish day. Seemed it was overwhelmingly occupied by the family of the dancers but it was still nice. A little loud but understandable. Nice enlosed, heated patio for seating as well as a bar area with tables and high tops.Nice golf decor, warm. Food was typical upscale golf course fare. It was good and sufficient portion sizes. Prices about average or below typical. Would like to go back in summer and enjoy the patio and a more relaxed dinner.
Prime rib Thursdays are good!
Also recommend joining the dining club
Kind of slow service and dinner .. food not as usual.. waited long time for dinner..service seemed”off”
Service was not great. Very slow... had to ask other waitresses for things cause we couldn’t seem to find our waitress. Were given 3 different bottles of ketchup all mostly empty... ask for another 2 beers had to wait because the bar was not stocked properly..by then we were ready to leave. Ask for all our burgers to be med well and one was undercooked so had to wait for that. Asked for lemons and a to go container... had to wait for those as well... not sure what was up... service was off.
Always a GREAT time at Back Creek !!! Jen was our server/bartender and she always does a GREAT job. This is by far my favorite place in Middletown. The Chef has monthly dinner specials that can't be beat. Great beer, wine and cocktail selections as well.
Half price burger night is a favorite
Very dirty. Filter in dishwasher needs to be changed as all glassware had grit on them. Food on floor. Overall gross.
Classic, cozy restaurant. Nice drinks and dinner. Server was new but everything was very nice.
We dined here for Valentine's Day and, because of our early evening reservation had our option to select our dinner from the regular menu or the special Valentine's Day menu. We opted for the regular menu choices only because the Valentine menu entrees would have taken longer to serve since technically they weren't available till 5 pm. And, we had another appointment that evening which is why we chose to dine early.
All that said, we thoroughly enjoyed our dinner. I chose the Gaucho Steak which is served on a bed of sauted spinach and smashed garlic potatoes. The steak is skirt steak which I always enjoy and rarely find on a menu so I was very pleased to find it here. It was fabulously tender and flavorful. The spinach was a terrific vegetable pairing well with the steak and smashed garlic potatoes. I tried a glass of the house Merlot and it was quite good as well. I also ordered the small garden salad which is huge, fresh and crispy.
My date chose the small Caesar salad and commented how good it was. For his entree he chose the BBQ Mac & Cheese which seems odd to order for a special dinner celebration but he saw it on the menu and was very glad he ordered it. The smoked brisket was mouthwatering and the Mac and Cheese very tasty . We topped off our dinner with the most creamy Creme Brulee and coffee.
The Grille at Back Creek never disappoints us. The food is outstanding. We'll be back soon.
We eat here 2-3 times/month, often on Fridays at the bar. Crab cakes are very good here, as are steaks and burgers. They also have some non-traditional fare which are very good as well.
Valentine’s Day dinner, just a bit noisy for a quiet evening with my wife.
It's on a beautiful golf course. Staff was super friendly and very good. Food was great as well.
Perfection once again!!
Came for guys night out consisting of burgers and beers. Food was outstanding. Very nice place. Got very loud especially once the live music started so our conversation was limited.
Service was great on Saturday, we had the best waitress. Reservation was at 6:45 and did not get seated until 7:15. They were busy, I now know not to make a reservation during this busy time on a Saturday evening. Food was delicious!
the Grille at Back Creek is always delicious with great service. Always.
Very good entertainment. Food was very good and a nice selection,
We have been here a few times. Some of the wait staff is not as good as others.
Food is always good.
Great staff. Food is always great also. Close to home also.
Cioppino was on special menu and is well worth ordering! Well prepared and nicely presented. Also should try new desert: Venezuelan Bunuelos (beignets) - bit sweeter presentation than New Orleans but very good.
Mediterranean salmon continues to be outstanding. If available, Helena is a terrific server - professional and friendly.
Sunday Brunch was spectacular. Enjoyed the bottomless mimosas, Crab Cake Eggs Benedict and French Toast. Their Chef never disappoints and pleases everyone's palate. Shannon was our bartender and server and we always love seeing her on Sundays!
The Grille at Back Creek always has a good food selection that is deliciously prepared with good service. We had a lot of fun and will return soon.
Had a great time with our large party on Friday night. Their staff is top notch. Really enjoy Chef Miguel's weekend specials - they're unique dishes, well thought out and executed.
Our party ordered the crab cakes, which we thoroughly enjoyed since it was all crab meat, the fish and chips, the lobster and shrimp pasta was rich and hearty with lots of seafood in it, and the gaucho steak. Definitely love seeing different dishes to suit any and all cravings and taste buds.
Lindsey was spectacular and she made our dinner experience a fun one from start to finish. The live music available on the weekends also added a positive and fun vibe to our celebration.
Date night with Trish and Vernn. Great Dinner. Chicken Parmesan was one choice, the other was the mac and cheese with brisket. Both thoroughly enjoyable as was the French Onion Soup with Mushrooms. Excellent service provided by Lauren......
The veal meatloaf - of the current specials - was outstanding. Comes wrapped in bacon and topped with lightly fried, crisp onion rings. Paired nicely with the house Cabernet!
My boyfriend plays golf here often. So we went for his birthday dinner and had close friends join us . They also enjoy dinner here weekly. We had a great time.
