The food was fabulous and the wait staff knowlegeable, fun and efficient.
We frequent Back Creek and the manager, hostess, bartenders and service representatives are always friendly and on point. We are a diverse group in terms of our food preferences and our orders are delivered perfectly. There is consistency with food portions and delivery. The alcoholic beverages are excellent and always delivered with a smile. Overall our experience has been an excellent one. Keep up the good work Great job Back Creek 😊
Went here for dinner, and specifically wanted crab cakes for two of us. Were informed that they were out of crab cakes. One crab cake dinner was substituted by a fried shrimp dinner. The other, was a crab nacho appetizer. Because of this, we had to pay for one child's dinner (free dinner per adult entree). I understand that the terms were not met, but they would have been met if there had been crab cakes. But the food was good, although there was very little crab on the crab nachos.
I was in a hurry to eat and run, told the waiter and i got my food before the rest of my family. Speedy, Personal Service.
As always, love Back Creek Grille and Chef Miguel!
Our waitress was very inattentive and seemed disinterested in serving us and more interested in socializing with a table of friends. When we arrived only a few tables were sat, but it took her nearly 10 minutes to visit out table. The delay was so noticeable the hostess brought our water and promised she would be by shortly. When she arrived, she brought more water - then almost seemed annoyed we wanted drinks first and not wanting to do a full order. When we did order, she then spent nearly 10 minutes sitting at another table with friends. I am certain our appetizer was delayed waiting for her to get it and bring it to our table.
My meal did not taste good, but that was more personal preference. My wife had it during a previous visit and liked it.
As more people arrived, the noise level increased dramatically. I had difficulty hearing my wife and we were at an intimate table for two. This happened during our last visit, but we were at a table for four, so I moved closer. Overall, the sound quality is not good when there is a crowd. Near the end of our meal they started with live music, which maked the noise level insane.
When the waitress brought out meal, she never checked in again until we were ready to pay the check. By that point I just wanted to go boxes and to get out. I was afraid if we ordered dessert we would be there another 45 minutes.
Overall, we probably will not return.
We thoroughly enjoyed our dining experience. Food was delicious from appetizer to dessert......and the food was plentiful! Matt was a great waiter and our food was brought out in a timely manner. This was not our first visit and will definitely not be our last.
Ordered the Ahi Tuna. They served with Srichi instead of Wasabe. I asked for Wasabe, they did have any Wasabe but failed to inform me when I ordered. Ketchup with Ahi Tuna, not a good combination.
The ambience is perfect for the purpose - this is a restaurant associated with a golf course. The food and service is tip top. And when I say that, I mean the the food really is notable. We had a lovely evening there.
Very very warm inside.
I know it was very warm outside but not until crowd thin out st 9:25 you could feel little air.
Will not go back when it’s warm outside
Got charge 50 cents for pickles
Thought I would give it one more time. Lady time charge for bread
This was our third or fourth visit. The food has always been very good. We’ve had appetizers, salads, prime rib. All have been delicious. The staff is very friendly & helpful. One word of caution - some of the good is spicier (hot)than expected - wings, ribs, & taco salad!
Mediterranean Salmon was outstanding. Paired nicely with draft Stella!
We had a fantastic meal! We plan to return soon! Thanks for a great time!!!
The head chef wasn’t in the kitchen which caused delays in service and food coming to the table incomplete. The staff fixed the issue with the plate and the food was excellent
We eat at Back Creek often — typicslly at least once a week. We are members if their diners club. The food is excellent. The crab cakes are outstanding — some of the best in the area. Service is friendly and typically good. Prices are reasonable. With the diners club discount, it is an excellent vslue (assuming you eat there often enough to cover the monthly membership fee. )The negatives are first: noise level. Acoustics are terrible — so with even a few people in the duning room, conversation is very difficult. Second: the carpeting is beyond dirty and stained. They sttemoted tonhsve it ckeaned sine tune ago, but it is beyond cleaning. Only new flooring will make this restaurant look decent — and consistent with the quality of the restsurant otherwise. This complaint is the sole reason we do not take friends to The Pub to dine. The old expression, “Penny-wise, pound-foolish” comes to mind.
The Grille at Back Creek is always a pleasure to dine at. Always delicious always consistent with great service! We will return.
Everything was outstanding, the Fish and Chips were the best I have had. The Pear and Walnut salad was great. So glade that our waitress recommended that I only get a 1/2 salad. I write a Restaurant review for our community paper bi monthly the Grill at Back Creek will be the featured restaurant in the next issue.
One word - Delicious!
Food and service were very nice. Place was busy. The singer they had on the Friday night was too loud and made our dinner out with our parents from out of town disappointing.
Hadn't been here in awhile but had been hearing good things so we decided t check it out along with some friends. I reserved a table for 10 via Opentable outside and they were able to accommodate. Food was good, we started by sharing some nachos. Service was good until about 3/4 in and then it slowed down for no apparent reason, took a while to get get a final drink and then our checks at the end. however, I would definitely return.
The veal / angus beef meatloaf was outstanding - well worth try!
We had a group of 8 for a celebratory dinner. All were very pleased with their meal. Something for everyone!
Too loud. Children running around yelling. Parents just letting it go.
Had a party of 10 and waitress did a good job!!!
The food at Back Creek has never disappointed us. Last night I had the caramelized salmon and my husband had the chicken pot pie. However, our entrees came out one minute after our appetizers (garden salad for me & crab cake for my husband). I wanted to eat my meal hot, so I ate all of the entree (very good) and boxed my salad to go. Tried to eat salad today for my dinner, but it was too soggy and wilted, so I basically wasted $6.
Our service was very slow.... maybe our server was a rookie. We were almost finished with our coffee before we ever got our dessert (Apple crisp with vanilla ice cream...very good).
Also, there was a female singer with guitar playing last night which made the noise level too loud for us. We could barely talk to each other. Probably won't go back when they have music. The restaurant is just too small for the sound to disseminate to a comfortable level.
While the staff was ok, it took a while to get our order in and not very knowledgeable about the selection liquor. Ordered a “simple ribeye” medium rare and it came out rare with white fat that was not cooked. Not impressed with the food. If you call something simple, please get it right!
The service was great. There was a mistake made and one of the seven entrees did not come out with the rest. However, when it came out it was just as delicious. The wait staff was so apologetic that they comped the meal. That was more than what was expected. Will certainly be back in the near future.
As always, the Grille at Back Creek never disappoints! Always good, always consistent. We had a great time!
Just wanted to go out to lunch NOT to celebrate Mother’s Day. But, knowing it was M’s Day, we made reservations. No mention of the Mday Buffet on the web. NO MENTION THAT IT WAS $40/person. What a ripoff. We’ve eaten at Back Creek many times. My husband is a golf member. Unpleasantly surprised at a pricey brunch that cost us $90 (buffet + OJ and house wine). NOT HAPPY. Previously, I’ve given very high reviews but not for today.
Mother's Day Brunch was outstanding! Loved how my children had options to choose from and that they also had options for adults - 2 carving stations with their famous Thursday prime rib and a juicy pork tenderloin, and a made to order omelete station! Really enjoyed the ish with crab topping too! What a great buffet selection.
View was very nice too and so was service.
Mother’s Day brunch
We come here often, always good food and service, but were disappointed by the Mother’s Day brunch. Way overpriced for the food selections, should have included a Mimoso or cocktail for almost $40/person. Buffet had no green vegetables, heavy on starches. Pork roast was cold. Omelette station was nice but a long wait. Overall, come here for great sit down meals but buffet was lacking.
The food was excellent, as well as the service. I was not expecting to see dishes like Octopus ceviche in a deep fried avocado, or for dessert, waffles stuffed with nutella and ice cream. Both dishes were incredible. I will definitely be going back.
Had a lovely dinner with friends. Appies and dinner were both very good. I especially loved the ceviche! The chicken piccata was a big hit, too. Noise level was low, so we could enjoy wonderful conversation. A totally enjoyable evening!
We had great food and a wonderful dining experience with our friends. Never disappointed.
Always a great experience
Excellent cuisine for the price.
Love eating here on a date night and even a night with the kids. Kids eat Free day is a great savings for us.
We normally have a great dinner here. Burgers are very good.
On this occasion it was HORRIBLE.
When we came to the table I was immediately grossed out, and told the waitress as much. The table was covered in a dirty liquid and the carpet was covered in food bits and wet spots. Two of the chairs we covered in the same , beer smelling liquid. We replaced them with two chairs at the next table (so someone else would have the same issue...). Later, my daughter cut her finger on the chair next to her...from the broken glass bits that were on the seat (the chair we didn't move but i guess should have). Now we know why there was so much liquid on the table! Horrible bussing. Fortunately, the bar tender had a first aide kit...manager not around. The waitress never asked us for more drinks when we waited 45 mins for the food to come. When the check finally came, we waited another 15 mins for her to come collect it ( I couldn't wait to leave). When she came back, my told told her about the glass embedded in the chair...she was confused but not that concerned.
Wont be going back for a while.
They had a golf outing that day. Louder than usual. Piano player was great. Food and service great too
