Food was excellent
Service very friendly
Quiet able to hold normal conversation
Came with 16 people, and staff couldn’t have been nicer or more accommodating. Food very tasty and good value. Would definitely return. A great place for pre- or post-Embassy movie.
What a great find. The food was incredible and the service friendly and warm. I would highly recommend this restaurant. I travel throughout the Middle East and it was really authentic.
Chicken skewer was dry, otherwise food was OK. Service slow but adequate. No bar is a drawback. Not fancy. Proximity to theatre is best point.
No frills middle eastern food at fair prices. We came, seated ourselves at a table and were promptly greeted by our waitress who provided menus and give us time to decide.
It was disappointing they were our of a few items - including pickled veggies - that we wanted to try, but the quality of the chicken curry and the salad with a skewer of meat were first rate.
The Grill is nothing fancy and serve basic kebabs and rice, but are a great place for a quick before movie meal in Waltham (the Embassy movie theater is right across the street)
We picked this place almost at random. The name suggest an American grill, but the reality is absolutely delicious and plentiful Mediterranean food. Perhaps the outside sign ("The Grill") was inherited from a prior tenant. They put all their effort into the food, not so much into the decor. Well worth the trip. As soon as we started eating, two of the party immediately put The Grill's phone number into their cellphones.
Four of us all enjoyed our dinners and agreed we would definitely return given the quality of the tasty food and excellent service.
Had a dinner before a movie across the street. Wide selection of Mediterranean/Greek food. well presented. Food was good. Atmosphere fair. Good place for a dinner before a movie.
Tasty food, helpful waitstaff, and I could hear my partner talk even with the music running in the background. Plus, helpfully across from the movie theatre.
Interesting m’étirant Food
Middle Eastern fare that was just delicious. We four shared the appetizers with pita bread which was so good I could easily have made a meal of it. I had the lamb shish kabob which was perfectly prepared. Each of us commented that we'd definitely be back. In parting, they were busy but despite that, the service was excellent a quite friendly. Definitely a keeper.
Food tasted and looked like it was from a highway food court.
Delicious Mediterranean food! Eggplant dip, humus, etc were really excellent with good pita bread. Beef gyro with good with slices of pickled beets as an extra accompaniment. Beef koobidah, not sure if I have that spelling correct, was nicely spiced ground beef kabob that was crisp on the outside and moist inside. I will definitely get that again. Tabulah salad was very good. Everything seemed fresh and made to order, generous portions. Very good service. Perfect for before or after a movie. Cheerful interior, bright and clean AND we could hear ourselves talk!
Very impressed with the quality of the service and the of the food. Much better than I expected from a small local restaurant. The value was quite good also.
Hot Sunday, perfect for salads and grilled meats!
Really good iced coffee....
Always a happy experience
Family-friendly restaurant. Reasonable Mediterranean selections. Appetizers good. Lamb Shish-kabobs were somewhat overcooked despite requesting them to be medium rare. Could have used a bit more seasoning; the flavors were fine, just nothing special and a little underwhelming. There was a red sauce that looked and tasted like salsa out of a jar served between the kabobs and the rice, which seemed out of place and a bit odd. The rice pilaf was moist and again, a bit underwhelming in flavor. All in all an ok meal, but nothing special.
Good food for everyday. Not necessarily a special occasion or to impress anyone. Good value.
Luke warm food brought out all at once
Hair in the food
Never eat here again!
Although they took my reservation on Open Table, they were in fact closed. I received a iPhone notice 25 minutes after the reservation time, although sadly, I had already driven to Waltham. The ratings are hypothetical. There is no N/A.
My date and I were in for Valentine's Day at around 7:30. We stayed until about 9. The food was great and the service was excellent. The only real surprise was that they don't serve alcohol, we didn't know that. Not sure if you can byob?
Nice change of pace. The shush kebab was moist and tender and the rice really good. I ordered the combination and there was way more than I could eat. Next time I'll just order 1. Too bad they don't have a liquor license.
If you are interested in eating something different then this the place to have wonderful food, great taste, and the services was fantastic.
Our service was excellent. quick and knowledgeable. The Middle Eastern menu was just what we were looking for. Nicely prepared, simple home style food. The hummus was fresh and the kebabs flavorful, not dry as they sometimes are. Would return. Wish they had beer and wine. Very convenient for cinema across street and municipal parking nearby.
Sadly, we came here for a quick bite before going to the movies. Not sure if they were ,issuing wait staff or cooking staff, but by the time we were able to order we were told we could one of three things that could be done in time. And they do not have any alcohol, which might have softened the blow.
The food was really excellent! Great flavors across the board. Definitely will go there again
We went to this restaurant because it is across from the movie theater and we love greek food. Our order was taken quickly; we order a greek salad and 2 chicken souvlakis. The salad took a long time to be served. It was a good salad but nothing special, especially for a greek restaurant. I get better greek salads in a diner. The souvlakis were also ok. The chicken didn't taste like a greek restaurant's chicken. It was seasoned but again nothing special. Not sure we would go there again.
When we ate at the Grill in Waltham at 7:30 on a Tuesday evening in the Summer I was surprised that we were the only diners. We sat by the open windows with a lovely view and fresh air, but I could not shake the fact that the restaurant was empty. The service is adequate and the menu is tasty, but clearly not chef created. Overall, the Grill is ok, but I will likely not return.
Great to have yummy Middle Eastern food... very hard to find in 'burbs.
The best rice since the old Red Fez... it's about that red sauce!
Nothing fancy here, just home cooked solid good food.
Can hardly wait to go back .
All they need is icy cold retsina!
9 of us went there for lunch on Sunday. The food was good, the service was good. It met all of our expectations.
I was looking for a place my elderly mother would enjoy. This was a great choice! The food was very good, and the service was outstanding! I am looking forward to returning soon!
we had dinner before the movies and the food was good but no gluten free choices at all and when I asked for cut up veggies to dip in the hummus (one of their appetizers), they said they did not have any vegetables that weren't already pre made into the salads. It would also be great if they had a liquor license.
We had fun meal . The food was authentic and plentiful. The service was great. We will go back!
Good food for a good price....nothing fancy .....excellent service.
I had the greek salad with grilled chicken and it was excellent, and reasonably priced. Waitress was very sweet - would definitely return!
This is one of those restaurants that look unassuming, but the food was terrific. I had the curry chicken, my wife has the lamb/beef/chicken kabob, served by a friendly waitress.
I love the Grill. They are very nice and eager to please. That said, we were one of only two tables occupied. It took an extraordinarily long time to get our food and at first it was delivered to the other table. Additionally my companion's meal was not prepared as requested and then had to be sent back.
The food is delicious and the folks are really nice. I want them to succeed and will try again.
Dined here several times. Would not return if not good food. Always seems to be an issue with what is ordered versus what is served.
Excellent middle eastern fare - some unusual items on the menu. All was well-prepared, especially the warm grape leaves in lemon sauce. Nice service, too.
Dependably good food, attentive service, eclectic menu, so something for every taste.
I was expecting a nice sit down restaurant, but the feel is more of a walk in and order type of place. The food was pretty good although not my exact view of Mediterranean. Overall good experience
