It was 15 minutes from the time we arrived Sunday morning to a server taking our order. Several tables that entered after us ordered and got their food before we did.
The food, when it arrived, was good. All three of us were pleased with our meals.
The appetizers came to the table before the entree, but it was quickly corrected. Took a while for some one to clear our plates after we finished our entrees. I did find it odd the server never asked if we would like coffee with our dessert.
Chilean Sea Bass and Crab cake were divine!!!
Service was great, the server was very knowledgeable and friendly. We both had the crab cakes and we had Chilian Sea Bass, Red fish, beets, and Fois Gras all cooked well.
We booked this for Coolinary, since the website specifically had the brunch hours listed, and there was no mention of an exclusion for weekends. Not worth it otherwise, especially with $23 bottomless mimosas that are $10-15 everywhere else in town.
A truly beautiful hotel. Great seating options. Good food.
Thoroughly enjoyed my meal at the grill room. I ordered the gnocchi, Chilean sea bass, and the creme brulee trio, all three were absolutely wonderful!
The wait staff was just as marvelous as the food. They engaged in enjoyable conversation, and remembered little things throughout the night that they made reference to throughout the meal.
The ambiance was perfect. It was a quiet setting, with lighting to match the time of day/night. The live piano was a lovely touch to set the tone for the evening.
The only complaint I had on the night, was the pacing of the food. It was a little slow for my liking, though the food was well worth waiting for.
The COOL-inary meanie was the BEST yet. Thank you.
Love their dinner menu, get three or four small dishes, whatever you feel like. Love the live piano music in background. Only exception was ribs were too fatty, but restaurant handled it to my satisfaction.
This is my favorite restaurant in New Orleans for so many reasons. The chef is excellent and the service is first class.
The Windsor Court Grill Room is beautiful for any occasion.
Good food , great service (Antonia) and environment. Great spot.
A wonderful place to visit with friends while enjoying a delicious lunch
Just absolutely AMAZING!!! Great ambiance, service and food! The live Jazz quartet was heavenly! Edgar took excellent care of us. I had bottomless mimosas and a special dessert for my birthday! Next time I want to stay at this Hotel...its so beautiful and elegant. I'd even like morning tea! I recommend this place to everyone. Bon Appetite! Xoxo
We dine here often and this time we brought friends. We had an amazing evening. There were issues with our waiter, but that will be handled privately. The service is always impeccable.
Always one of our favorites. Never disappointed. We are determined to go at least once a month if not more!
IT WAS A FANTASTIC EXPERIENCE. i HAVE ALREADY TOLD EVERYONE i HAVE SEEN ABOUT THE WONDERFUL FOOD, SERVICE AND AMBIANCE. A TRUE 5 STAR RESTAURANT.
OMG!!! We Love this place. Great staff. The food has always been amazing no matter what we ordered. When were we are in New Orleans it always on todo list. Thanks to everyone who works hard to make this a experience to remember.
Wonderful. Nuff said
Lovely place for lunch, and the plate lunch is a great deal!
Jason and Ms Helen made this a very enjoyable treat! The Windsor is always a good idea!
Fabulous food, wonderful service, terrific setting. Was in town for some meetings and we went here to celebrate our anniversary. So glad we did. Absolutely loved the pace!
I rated the food a 4 because they didn't use basil for the tomato basil soup and the caprese salad. All else was very good!
Thank you so much for making my friend’s birthday so special. Everyone who attended us was friendly and made our celebration so special. Thank you!!
Everything was amazing. Great service, delicious food, and a beautiful place. I highly recommend. We even had our 5 and 7 year olds with us.
It's been 20 years since I've been to this restaurant. I'm a native, but don't live in town anymore. There are SO many great places that have opened since then, I had neglected the Grill Room. Elegant, masculine decor in the Windsor Court style? Check. Friendly, but cool reception at the entrance? Check. The menu has changed quite drastically, but that was to be expected and perhaps welcomed. You basically have a limited choice of appetizers and entrees for a reasonable fixed price. You can add some "luxe" items at an uncharge. They've also added a wines by the glass option using Coravin, a closed dispensing system to render a glass at a time from premium bottles. Ah, a 2010 Brunello! Wonderful. It took a few minutes for the waiter to get to me, but I ordered a glass. At $50+ a glass, this is not an everyday option, but what the heck? The waiter returns after a very long 15 minutes. He starts the process of infiltrating the bottle tableside when I notice the vintage on the bottle. 2012. I inquire, since 2010 was a great year for Brunello, 2012 not so much. He seems a bit thrown, apologizes, and says he'll go search. After another 5 minutes, he returns and says they don't have the 2010. Alright then, no big deal -- mistakes happen (though from the fact that wine had already been dispensed from the bottle, some previous patrons had obviously been unaware they were paying an ultra-premium price for the wrong vintage). I then chose a 2013 Shafer from the same Coravin list. 2013 was an excellent vintage. 10 minutes go by. The waiter returns. He shows me the bottle triumphantly. 2015. Wrong vintage again, I say. He looks perplexed; he hadn't even checked it. So, it's been 40 minutes and no one has taken my food order and I have no wine. I have to ask for bread. Short story: there was no compensation made for the wine debacle (I just accepted the 2015), the food that followed was average at best, and the Grill Room may have to wait 20 more years for me to return.
Excellent brunch. Relaxing, quiet and a nice touch with the jazz playing in the background. Look forward to returning on our next trip to New Orleans.
Enjoyed breakfast but stayed too long and had to pay $12.00 plus tip for parkingxxxxxxx
I selected the Windsor Hotel for our dining experience off of the web. We were staying at the Le Meridian. I chose the Grill room from the menu selections and the reviews. When we walked in,
what a wonderful surprise. The hotel is beautiful. The murals added so much to the decor, and the furnishings were just elegant. The patio room, where we ate, had such a lovely view. The waiter was most gracious. The food presentation was a feast for the eyes, and the quality of the food was a delight to the palette. I wish that our stay had been more than the one night. We would have loved to have returned for brunch, lunch, and dinner. Thanks for a most memorable experience.
Awesome experience! Diedre was delightful! Food was excellent! Ambience was outstanding!
As always, the Grill Room did not disappoint. The service is exceptional, as is the food. We ate there twice during our stay at the hotel, which says a lot when you are in such a great foodie town.
The service was below standards. We could not find our waiter. I served water to my table.
The food was well priced except the gumbo was too spicy, and the side dishes were not anything I would recommend to friends. On the other hand, the Tuna was sensational.
Nevertheless, I left a 20% tip. I was not there to hurt anyone. I was at The Grill to celebrate my friend's birthday, not with you to be unpleasant.
Thank you for asking.
We had a lovely and delicious meal at The Grill Room at The Windsor Court Hotel. The sommelier was particularly helpful and friendly.

Fabulous food, fabulous service, fabulous night!!!
We were a party of 9 celebrating a college graduation. The food was delicious, the service was impeccable, and the atmosphere was magical.
Pre Mother's day lunch. Loved it!!! Nice 2 top table 1 row off the window overlooking the driveway courtyard. Mom loved everything except the gumbo.. She likes her own better. LOL!! Everything else was above her expectations. She will be back with friends and so will I. Go for lunch Monday thru Friday, one of the best deals in town. Get the chicken marsala you won't regret it.
All 4 of us had the lunch + three. Each had a different combination of sides &/or entrees and every plate was a visual and scrumptious delight. A virtual continental bento box presented on an elegant plate. We, all, will be back with friends in tow.
Early Mother’s Day lunch.
Great concept even better food. One of the best meals I ever had.
2nd floor dining room overlooks the courtyard, or inside is a little more formal. Menu is small plate tasting format. We had the mushrooms and cauliflower, scallops, shrimp, crabcakes, and Wagyu filet. Wine list was very extensive. Each course was brought out seperately with enough time between servings to appreciate the presentation. Food was excellent and service very good, informed, and professional. Thank you Ross. Our favorite of the week and highly recommended.
