Visiting our college daughter.
Thank you Blake for the phenomenal dish recommendations and the outstanding service!!!
We love this place and eat here often.
On this particular Sunday afternoon, it was a miss. The Dine LA 3 course meal opened with a stellar burrata/tomato salad.
The filet was prepared incorrectly and the cut had no flavor. I ordered a side of steak sauce, and it was not fresh nor the same quality that I have come to expect. Broccoli was steamed with no flavor (no spices, herbs, oil or otherwise).
Desert was fab.
I won't disappear and will return. I just won't order a fine meal on an afternoon. It felt like the line cook was given a chance to prepare the fine foods we've come to love and enjoy here.
Another wonderful dinner at The Grille.
This is our first time there, we decided to go there instead of Mastro’s as the restaurant ratings were good.
The appetizers and the wine were great, then the main course (2 different types of meats) were pretty tasteless.
As well as our waitress seemed a bit edgy and was not the most pleasant experience.
Always great. Dover sole and scallops are terrific. Very pleasant outside. Our server Jason was amazing!
Our server was excellent very attentive but the cocktail mediocre and the Dover Sole had a little flavor. However they were extremely gracious and overall I was impressed by the professionalism they showed. I have eaten many times at the grill in Los Angeles And found this restaurant to be a little below par
When the main coarse finally arrived the broccoli was cold and bake potato lightly warm with the steak hot. Probably the smallest baked potato I’ve encountered at a steakhouse. I normally have good experiences here. I Advised the waiter.
The Grill came highly recommended so it was disappointing that we didn’t receive the same quality service and experience that we hoped we would get. We traditionally go to a different place with the same price point. Although the food was good and our waiter was friendly it wasn’t nearly as exceptional as our traditional special occasion restaurant. This evening was for my husband and I to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary and The Grill let us down. If you have plenty of money to spend and are okay with a more casual experience without superior service then it should be just fine.
As always, excellent!
We love this restaurant. The staff is so friendly, great drinks and service and food never disappoints. Can’t wait to go back! It’s our local gem for sure!
Great food, beautiful place. We will go back for sure.
Lobster salad was very disappointing and exaggerated (wrong lettuce, not much lobster) and overpriced!
Miss the sourdough bread.
Been there many times but last visit.
In the past we’ve hosted many celebrations.
It was our wedding anniversary yesterday.
We live in Seattle, but always plan a visit to The Grill on the Alley on our trips to Westlake Village. We love the patio dining, the food is consistently flavorful, cocktails are beautifully blended and the wine list has extremely well-selected choices. In addition, we are always impressed with the professional, knowledgeable and friendly waitstaff. This is a Westlake Village restaurant not to be missed!
Extensive cocktails menu and so many wonderful menu items. So happy we found this place.
Loved the day spent there; everything was perfect. Can't wait to go back for another wonderful meal.
Quality always with great service. Every one on the staff always has a smile on their faces and are ready to please!
The food is always excellent!!
The server was super rude and asked me (in front of my date) how much I wanted to tip, before handing me the till to pay! Very strange and also rude! 🤬
Love this place. Food was amazing and service was good except it was a bit slow and lots of time spent in between the waiter checking in with us but overall good experience.
My first dinner out with clients since March 2020 - celebrating their move East and it could not have been better. The service and food was excellent! We were quite comfortable on the outdoor patio. Thank you!
Food and service were excellent.
Uncrowded and well-managed seating arrangements during these precarious times. The patio is lovely but indoors felt safe and cozy as well.
service is always superb, even with 2 antsy teenaged boys!
Very efficient & pleasant front desk. Service is top. They have excellent cocktails & good wine list, pour premium wines by glass too. Best part food of course! My favs rack of lamb, John Dory fish, filet mignon, wedge salad, lobster bisque. Choice of potato & a veg included with entree. They even have a great chicken pot pie! Whatever you feel like like eating they will probably have best version of it. They also have bar & outdoor seating.
I spend my Girlfriends 70th Birthday at your place. We ordered a $ 60,- Steak and got charged $ 8,- dollars for Peppercorn sauce. That is not only outrages but you guys are way out off line with that kind a pricing. Not only is it disappointing but you want see us again in the future.
There was nothing wrong with our server & waitress.
The rest off it really sucked.
We had an amazing server and the food was perfect.
Always an enjoyable evening out with quality food
Perfect, food delicious, especially loved the waiter
Great outdoor dining space and impeccable wait staff. I would recommend the restaurant and plan to go back.
We had an issue when checking in that I will chalk up to an off night. We were hosting dinner for a friend's birthday. They arrived before us and were seated inside. We arrived a few minutes later and were told by the hostess that they could not locate our reservation. When I reminded them that I called to confirm the reservation, the hostess 'remembered talking to me' and sat us outside. We waited 20 minutes until we 'found' our guests...
We are frequent guests at this location and absolutely love it.
As always, our ribeye and filet mignon were of outstanding quality, as were the perfectly cooked broccoli sides. Worth a trip just for the Garlic Cheese bread. Atmosphere inside was low key and seating was safely spaced. All servers and others wore masks at all times, and were extremely efficient and pleasant.
We had a 7:30 reservation due to a busy day, but were never felt rushed through our meal. The Grill - always a pleasure.
The food was very attractively presented and did not disappoint relative to taste and texture. If anything was remarkable about our experience it was the outstanding service we received from the moment we presented ourselves at the reception desk to the time we paid our bill. Our server was particularly enjoyable and really added to the overall pleasantness of our dining experience.
Lovely place for brunch or dinner and service is amazing.
Our only true date night in 2021, Grill reminds us of the NYC steak houses we loved before kids. Blake gave us excellent service!
The food was well prepared and wonderful and our server, Michelle, was professional and delightful. Not inexpensive but a great dining experience.
Always good friendly service
We had a great meal and exceptional service last night. After a terrible experience at Larsen’s in Oxnard it was nice to be reminded what a great dining experience should be. We had a lobster tail special that was fantastic. The price was reasonable and the overall value was great
The food was great but after being served our entree we were abandoned; no offers of pepper, additional drinks, bread, etc. had to ask three times for a glass of wine from other staff, not our server, left without having dessert or coffee which we had planned to get because didn't want to continue asking for service. And this was a birthday dinner! But the food was great.
Service was horribly slow!
High-end restaurant, but not snooty. Food is pricey...you get what you pay for and it was delicious. Easy to park, which is nice. On a par with Mastor's but without the angst.
