Great service sitting outside with friends. We had appetizers and shared. We all had a great time. My only complaint - Seagrams Vodka? I know it's cheap -and we did have it mixed but really?
The food was great. Julia our server was wonderful.
We had a great time and can't wait to go back again!
The food was spectacular, the indoor seating was beautiful with their built in wine collection they have. Would highly recommend !
I always enjoy visiting The Grill whether for dinner or happy hour. The food is usually quite good and this visit lived up to expectations. It's difficult to evaluate service in the wake of covid but our server was very friendly even though not quite as prompt as usual, but no complaints.
I come to this restaurant a lot and always enjoy the food
Willamette valley Pinot noir was excellent. Petite NY strip was ok, broccoli that came with it could have been warmer and would have liked hollandaise. Wife’s chopped wedge not much taste. Oysters appetizer was good but oysters really small. Service a bit draggy. Overall given the prices, average.
We are frequent guests at the Grill on the Alley Westlake and are always absolutely thrilled.
Very great service, the food was excellent but pricy
We will be back
Fabulous steaks and crab and corn fritters. Very nice evening for the patio. We were really in the mood for this meal which always helps. Excellent service with right level of attentiveness.
Great service, great food, perfect night!
Great food, nice ambience, service was impeccable. I highly recommend
Every time we visit the Grill on the Alley, Westlake, we are thrilled. It is an absolutely wonderful restaurant. The service, food, and environment were so perfect. We sat outside in the covered area, near the bar and ordered our dinners.
This place has the best food service is great and atmosphere is beautiful I’d recommend it to anybody
I have been to the restaurant many times and have always had a great meal and great service. The happy hour is a great deal also.
Loved everything except the Creamed Spinach. Did not taste good. Service was excellent and the right level of attentiveness.
Oyster appetizer was great and my chicken pot pie was epic!
Our experience was just ok. We were celebrating our anniversary and the waiter didn’t acknowledge it in the least.
Had reservations and was seated immediately. Service was great and food was delicious. Can't wait to return.
Perfection as always. Everything we have had here was perfectly cooked and perfectly portioned. The food timing and staff always make it a relaxing experience, never rushed, never too long. This place is our go to for special date nights.
We were told they were under new ownership. The food was ok, the service was ok. The wine list is no longer what I would expect from a Grill on the Alley. Its a grocery store wine list. All the big names that the website wine list shows are gone. It was an embarrassment. I won't go back to a Grill on the Alley or recommend them to anyone else.
As always, The Grill does not disappoint! I take all my clients there for dinners. Perfect atmosphere, great food and awesome staff!!
Been coming here for almost 15 years and really sad they changed the bread. Thats what makes it special
It’s amazing here in all levels with great service all the time. Love it here and will always come back
Overall, a great place to dine. Not noisy or crowded. Staff was very good. Food and drinks were very good. Every restaurant has high pricing, to be expected post pandemic with increased inflation and inflated gas prices.
- Vegetable Capellini

- French Onion Soup
- Sesame Sashimi
- Carrot Cake
- Vodka Soda / Old Fashion / Diet Coke
How wonderful to be indoors and maskless! Food was fantastic, service was outstanding!!
Always excellent. The Grill on the Alley is a great go to establishment.
We live in Seattle and had been to The Grill on the Alley on a previous, pre-Covid trip to Westlake Village. Everything was as we remember it; outstanding staff, superb cocktails, wonderfully flavorful entrees and nice patio ambience. However, my grilled chicken was unfortunately rubbery and tough although the seasoning and taste was excellent. I attribute this to the cut of meat rather than the preparation, and our server graciously took it off our bill when I casually mentioned it. Despite this hiccup, The Grill on the Alley is definitely a favorite restaurant of ours in Westlake Village.
Our favorite restaurant
Our server Mikey was great. John Doory and Scallops were terrific. And the restaurant is very diligent with the COVID protocols.
Have dined here many times in the past. We went back for my son’s graduation and dined inside for the first time after COVID. This restaurant has great food and service, as usual. Again, COVID has left its marks and has taken away the luxuries we were accustomed to before COVID. The inside decor was uninviting, with only a few tables, the menu was a piece of paper that included both food and wine list, instead of the old nice leather bound booklets, and a separate one for the wine list, and there was no candles or lights of any kind on the table. Unfortunately, we have lost all those subtle effects that added to a nice dining experience. I am truly hoping for the old ways of things to come back and we gain back the qualities and luxuries of life. All that pertains to all restaurants these days, so it is not a specific problem with this restaurant. I highly recommend this restaurant for any occasion.
Best Happy hour !!!
Food is excellent. Service was a bit snooty and generally poor to average.
Could not taste the Ahi because of the heavy handed spices. Coffee was lukewarm. Cost was extremely high for what we received.
Classy and good food. Great service and selections
Excellent service & food
Great food and great service
Very overpriced and middling quality at best. Serving a big chunk of broccoli as part of the entree Is ridiculous. I do it 10x better at home. Not recommended.
A new favorite spot! From the atmosphere, taste, and service-The Grill no the Alley is an 11/10!
Never disappointed... The hospitality, wait staff and food are consistently amazing!!! Wish all our dining experiences could be like this.
