The best part about this place place is the ambiance. The food is good, but for the price I thought it would be better. They were a bit skimpy on the extra toppings I ordered as well, could barely taste it. The service was a bit of a miss. Our waiter was polite, but not pleasant or smiling. Our drinks took a very long time and when I inquired about the wait he apologized and said the taps are broken and they were trying to fix. I was not offered a bottle beer option, so I suggested one and he asked for more time. At this point we’ve been there for 10-15 minutes already with no drinks. Eventually he came back with our draft beers. After we ate, it took about 5-10 minutes to clear plates even though we moved them to the edge of the table. A refill was offered long after I was empty, again a long wait. The taps broken again! This time he offered a bottle option. Our waiter seemed very annoyed. My guess is over the tap issue, but it was his attitude that killed the night, not the tap. We were just as fine with bottled beer. He could have made our night by immediately offering another bottles option, probably should have been free given the 10-15 minute wait and that would have made up for the delay. Instead we got a poor attitude. For the price I expected a whole lot better. We have no reason to go back.
Our server Jason provided us with an exceptional dining experience. My steak was cooked to perfection, my extra dirty martini was made perfectly, and the complementary birthday desert ended the night on a perfect note. We will most definitely be back soon!
Our server was excellent. It was a birthday celebration for my husband and the dining experience was perfect.
Fabulous server. Food is excellent. We were very happy with the noise level. My husband has hearing deficits and he was able to hear me, hear the server and all of the people helped us through the meal. Kiddos to you on noise levels
All good except so noisy hard to even talk to my guests
Always awesome customer service. Quality of food is well worth it.
Wonderful service and food was excellent
Everything was wonderful except they did not honor my gift card that I had received from my family for my birthday. Their excuse was the restaurant was purchased by a Canadian company and they did not accept my gift card. Unacceptable we will not go back to that restaurant
Service was great. The New York cut wasn't very good. The most expensive cut on the menu and I expected a lot better.
I rarely go out to eat these days, but felt like going to brunch. The food was fantastic, sitting outside was absolutely lovely and service was fantastic. It was a wonderful experience.
We’ve been going here for years, in all its iterations.
It’s been good and it’s been bad. Last night it was really good.
The best service we’ve ever had, perhaps. The food was excellent and the value was was great.
Maybe after all this time they’ve finally reached the heights everyone predicted long ago.
Lovely evening and excellent food and service.
Service was very, very good. The soups were excellent as was the filet which was prepared perfectly to order. The flat iron steak was okay, my date wanted to try it but in the end found it not a cut he’d order again. Restaurant was busy, nice to hear some laughter around us.
As Usually Tate never disapoints, You are the best ever! Thank You!
My experience in The Grill was awesome...The food exquisite and our waiter Mike was really attentive and answered all our questions about food and drinks...we will back soon..
Asked the waiter for a glass of wine with dinner and it never showed up. When I told him to make sure it wasn't on the bill he said I never ordered it, then when I reminded him of my choice, he remembered. If he had stopped by after our food was served I would have reminded him since he was busy but he never stopped after our food was served.
My son ordered the scallops, the menu says it has a tomato garlic butter but it arrived completely covered with what appeared to be chopped tomatoes and onions, like a salsa. The description was not accurate and he wouldn't have ordered it had I known how it was actually served.
Excellent service. Exquisite cuisine. Highly recommended.
Service was ok. Potions a little small. Busboy service(refilling water negligent)
This is the perfect spot for a special dinner. I recommend the patio by the fire pit - it's absolutely gorgeous and feels private as well as cozy and sexy. The fire pit and heat lamps make it very comfortable even on a chilling evening. The extra bonus is the patio is much quieter than inside the restaurant.
The food is delicious and the servings are quite generous for fine dining. The service was impeccable and no detail was missed to make the evening a grand success!
I would return in a heartbeat, especial for a special occasion.
This is an expe
We dined here for my husband's birthday and we had the best experience all around. Our servers were outstanding, cocktails and food was amazing and the special birthday sparkler was a treat. We will be back!
Great value and appetizer selections for happy hour. Service was excellent,
Visiting our college daughter.
Thank you Blake for the phenomenal dish recommendations and the outstanding service!!!
We love this place and eat here often.
On this particular Sunday afternoon, it was a miss. The Dine LA 3 course meal opened with a stellar burrata/tomato salad.
The filet was prepared incorrectly and the cut had no flavor. I ordered a side of steak sauce, and it was not fresh nor the same quality that I have come to expect. Broccoli was steamed with no flavor (no spices, herbs, oil or otherwise).
Desert was fab.
I won't disappear and will return. I just won't order a fine meal on an afternoon. It felt like the line cook was given a chance to prepare the fine foods we've come to love and enjoy here.
Another wonderful dinner at The Grille.
This is our first time there, we decided to go there instead of Mastro’s as the restaurant ratings were good.
The appetizers and the wine were great, then the main course (2 different types of meats) were pretty tasteless.
As well as our waitress seemed a bit edgy and was not the most pleasant experience.
Always great. Dover sole and scallops are terrific. Very pleasant outside. Our server Jason was amazing!
Our server was excellent very attentive but the cocktail mediocre and the Dover Sole had a little flavor. However they were extremely gracious and overall I was impressed by the professionalism they showed. I have eaten many times at the grill in Los Angeles And found this restaurant to be a little below par
When the main coarse finally arrived the broccoli was cold and bake potato lightly warm with the steak hot. Probably the smallest baked potato I’ve encountered at a steakhouse. I normally have good experiences here. I Advised the waiter.
The Grill came highly recommended so it was disappointing that we didn’t receive the same quality service and experience that we hoped we would get. We traditionally go to a different place with the same price point. Although the food was good and our waiter was friendly it wasn’t nearly as exceptional as our traditional special occasion restaurant. This evening was for my husband and I to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary and The Grill let us down. If you have plenty of money to spend and are okay with a more casual experience without superior service then it should be just fine.
As always, excellent!
We love this restaurant. The staff is so friendly, great drinks and service and food never disappoints. Can’t wait to go back! It’s our local gem for sure!
Great food, beautiful place. We will go back for sure.
Lobster salad was very disappointing and exaggerated (wrong lettuce, not much lobster) and overpriced!
Miss the sourdough bread.
Been there many times but last visit.
In the past we’ve hosted many celebrations.
It was our wedding anniversary yesterday.
We live in Seattle, but always plan a visit to The Grill on the Alley on our trips to Westlake Village. We love the patio dining, the food is consistently flavorful, cocktails are beautifully blended and the wine list has extremely well-selected choices. In addition, we are always impressed with the professional, knowledgeable and friendly waitstaff. This is a Westlake Village restaurant not to be missed!
Extensive cocktails menu and so many wonderful menu items. So happy we found this place.
Loved the day spent there; everything was perfect. Can't wait to go back for another wonderful meal.
Quality always with great service. Every one on the staff always has a smile on their faces and are ready to please!
The food is always excellent!!
