The service here was really great! We sat outside and the ambience was very nice. The food was delicious, the only issue was that we had ordered a burger to be prepared medium well but it came out between rare and medium. They graciously and quickly provided a brand new burger prepared as requested and it was delicious! We had soup, salad, burger and dessert and everything was great! A little pricey but it was a much-needed night out. Our waitress was friendly and accommodating. We would definitely go back to The Grill on the Alley again.
The staff and management here operate at the highest level. The food and drink were exceptional and we will definitely return!
It was so nice to be able to sit inside the restaurant. Very civilized. Great service, great food, was happy to have dined there at our first indoor dining experience since March.
Great kids menu, lovely outdoor patio, and well organized protocol for social distancing.
Tait is awesome !!!!!!
I like the management great people but the steak when you are paying $50 plus please don't serve frozen one have it aged or fresh cut .The Ribeye I had its the same taste as applebees I say NOT ACCEPTABLE.Everytime I go there I spend over $300 please step up like Flemings or MAstros level closer i say thank you
Always the best choice!
First time dining here; pleasantly surprised. The food was great. Service was very good; would likely be better sans COVID issues. Ambiance on the patio was perfect.
Always our go to place!
Impeccable service. Didn’t know they had brunch until I was presented the menu. Great for future reference. Had the lobster and shrimp roll and a side of Brussels sprouts. Delicious!
Overall experience was great. We ordered a Lobster Benedict which was deliciously excellent, the seafood caesar salad but was ok, needs work on caesar. Fabulous ambiance will be coming again.
I love it.. great service and food quality
Even though they have scaled back due to CV-19, they still serve great food and drinks.
Have enjoyed going there regularly for the past 5 years and will continue to do so!
We had a wonderful experience the food was wonderful great service and always a wonderful time.
Mike was great and the food was very good as well as the drink!
Great food and service, as usual.
Loved it ! Made my birthday so special
Michelle was an amazing server, and the whole team was there for all customers.
The chef and his team worked their butts off and the manager had the best cool seersucker suit I’ve seen.
Great place, adjusted well to the C19 restrictions, get there and spend some dough! These guys are great!
Nice outdoor dining. Great food. They do a great job with the social distancing.
One of my fav restaurants. Everything good, they honor reservations & are really working hard to make every table feel serviced during this difficult time. I’ve has fish, steak & rack of lamb, all perfect. Salads & veggies fresh.
I’m not sure what has been the issue lately but we’ve noticed is really poor service everywhere we come in this place was no exception. It took forever to get the waitresses attention part of our order didn’t even end up coming out and we kept having to ask for things multiple times
The oysters were just OK not as fresh as I would’ve hoped we only ate half of them
The rest of the food was good the sliders were good patient cocktail was good salad was good
We celebrated our 25th anniversary, and our server Tait was outstanding on all fronts. The food and drinks were very good!
Wonderful outdoor dining during Covid
Great place for happy hour .The service is always good especially Tate the bar tender and the waitresses. They are always friendly and helpful.Overall great place to be.We own our own restaurant so know how important it is to have good staff especially in these trying times .
Very enjoyable evening on a lovely patio especially in light of the pandemic. Service was impeccable along with the food
Heard so much about the place and wanted to try something different than Mastros. Unfortunately, they just didn’t measure up.
We ordered a dozen oysters to start. They had Kumiais which I love. Well, out of the 6 I had 5 had shards of shell in them. It was pretty unsettling to have to keep chewing on hard shell pieces or removing in some cases into my napkin. After our oysters we had the calamari. It was a bit over cooked and had the taste of “its time to change the fry oil” flavor. The remoulade it came with looked in color to be good, but it was basically mayonnaise.
For entrees we had a ribeye and the rack of lamb. Both ordered medium rare. My beautiful dates ribeye was medium and the lamb was well done. The mashed potatoes with the rib eye were dry and cool to the touch. Not had broccoli which was steamed and completely unseasoned.
We sent them both back. Not something i usually do, by at $45+ per plate you can bet we wanted them correct. Once we got our plates back the rib eye was cooked correctly, but the lamb was medium and wasn’t seasoned well at all. I’m beginning to feel like Robert Irvine here or Gordon Ramsey. I’ve had a lot of experience both eating at and working in and around the food business and this just wasn’t acceptable at all. We finished our meal and had high hopes for he carrot cake. Believe it or not it was the carrot cake that made us choose he Grill in the first place. It was ok. A bit on the dry side. What really put the cherry on the top of the sundae after all of this was when my dates coffee was served. Decaf, because it was a late meal. Literally lukewarm almost cold. The young man who took it back and brought fresh admitted to us that it had been made hours before and was just sitting on the warmer. The high point of the evening was Vicky our server, pleasant and apologetic. Certainly can’t blame her for the kitchen not doing their job. In the end they comped the carrot cake. Most likely out last meal here.
Always a great time!
They do a great job with the outdoor dining during COVID
Best chicken pot pie EVER
All gooD HH good appetizers and lots of wine
Everyone had great time!
We love the patio and everything was delicious!
It was a great birthday dinner!
My best friend and I just wanted to have a good dinner in a good restaurant!! The Grill was the perfect choice. We sat on the porch with other diners. Our server was very professional and gave great service. Everything we had was good, but the creamed spinach with toast as an appetizer was FabUlous. Will do again in a heartbeat.
I choose The Grill because the food is great and the setting always pleasurable. It is hard to evaluate die to the virus restrictions but it seems that The Grill is doing a very good job with these circumstances.
The Grill never disappoints . Our server Vicky was awesome and took very good care of us. Tait at the bar is always a breath of fresh air. Cannot wait to go back!
One of my favorite places to eat out. Highly recommended.
Dining these days of Coronavirus restricts our choices but the Grill is a great safe bet for outdoor dining. Great cocktails and food- the Dover sole was exquisite, and great service- Michelle was an excellent and caring server.
We’ll be back
The food and the service were excellent. Before we even ordered, we had some of their delicious bread! I could have eaten the whole loaf. The four of us all ordered different dishes and they were all very good. My scallops were very nicely prepared. The mixed green salad I had to start was fine, but nothing out of the ordinary. The dessert we ordered was apple/berry cobbler which was amazing, but enough to feed all four of us. We even took some home. Our server was knowledgeable and friendly. It is definitely expensive and probably we would only eat for a special occasion. Also, it is quite noisy so keep that in mind. If you're expecting a quiet place - this isn't it.
We had steak and salad and the steak was cooked to perfection.
Our waiter David was exceptional and very personal and we received the best
The Grill was great this weekend. Food quality, portions, service everything. We split a ribeye which was cooked perfectly. Needed this by the way as we didn’t have the best experience during the holiday season. That trip was very mediocre so big thumbs up.
