Salmon entree was incredible!
First time I enjoyed n will definitely be back
Steak dried out table was not set up no menus. No explanation on Valentine’s Day menu or regular menu. Drinks never refilled always had to ask. Waste of money
Several years ago, we hosted a private dinner at The Grill on the Alley. The service and food were amazing so this is a special place for us. This year, we decided to visit on Valentine's Day. The food and service did not disappoint. I had Ahi Poke as an appetizer. It was good but lacking in presentation. My sea bass was great and the mango sorbet was a perfect end to the meal. The only flaw to the evening was the independently run valet service was under staffed and had a line so long that people were leaving their cars so the restaurant would know they were going to keep their reservation.
First time diners. Would not go back. Never asked if we wanted a second glass of wine; glass sat there empty until we left. Steak was rare; sent back; returned rare; sent back. Brought back rare again.
I will give it another chance because it has been good in the past . We had a reservation at 6:00, arrived on time and walked through a completely empty restaurant to a very small table in the middle. We asked if there was any chance to get a booth and hostess said no they were all reserved. I said I guess our reservation didn’t count. That set the mood for the dinner. Our server was sweet. The food was mediocre and has been better. My date said he owed me a do over. On a night like Valentine’s , I expect Over the top quality and impeccable planning. Valentine’s is not an unexpected evening.
The meal started out fine. Our server too ill and we were never passed off to a new server. And while the collective group of servers checked for for empty dishes and water refill we felt a bit abandoned. We ordered Salmon and it was a bit over cooked and portion size and presentation for the cost was less than wonderful.
Amazingly attentive staff with the patience of angels. My date and I were treated like royalty from arrival to departure.
As usual, The Grill on the Alley proved to be the perfect place for a special lunch. Our server was great and our lunches were delicious. I love the fact that we can make reservations through OpenTable at The Grill on the Alley which assures us that we will have a no-waiting, hassle-free lunch. Love The Grill!
Beautiful restaurant. Most of our party was disappointed with their meal. Nothing special.
Food and service were both great. I will definitely be returning.
Disappointing. Did not enjoy like I did their Beverly Hills location. Won’t return.
Picked a spot near Galleria for a business lunch and was pleasantly surprised by this one.
Very attentive service, but food slipped a notch since prior visits. Nothing awful, but a bit disappointing.
Exceptional food and service
We were from out of town and just wanted a nice steak dinner before leaving Dallas. The people were so very friendly, the food was delicious. They catered to our every need. The Coconut Cake was spectacular and allowed us to laugh with the table across from us - it is enough for 4 people! Thank you so much for the delightful evening.
I had a business lunch at the Grill. I had reserved a table and the table was ready and in a good location in the restaurant for a business conversation. The service was excellent but did not interrupt the conversation. The waiter was patient and professional. A great place for a business lunch.
At my visit yesterday, things seem to be a bit off-key, e.g. :
- One employee seemed angry, banging chairs, scowling & generally being unpleasant
- Initial service seemed slow, viz. it took ~10-15 minutes to be greeted @ our table & asked for our drink order
I had a bad experience regarding service for a 9 people dinner. The waiter was busy serving other small parties. She lacked service due to amount of waiters. I was expecting better quality of service.
Very expensive but very good
Great good. Always very pleased and try to come when visiting
One of best. Always easy to get into. Handsome restaurant. professional staff. Non Trendy, great business atmosphere. Quality food.
The restaurant was fairly empty on a Saturday night despite the mall attached to the restaurant being extremely busy with holiday shoppers.
Despite that, we had to wait 45 minutes for our table (we had a reservation), and then the food service was also extremely slow.
Again, the restaurant was virtually empty, so really inexplicable why we had this experience.
The food was good, but in general prices $10 more per plate than much more popular (and better) steakhouses within a few miles.
Great option at the Galleria.
Great service and food, as usual. Waiter was very good.
I have dined here multiple times and have always enjoyed it. This last time was really dreadful. The steak I had was grey and overcooked. The cut itself felt cheap and tough. The flavor was flat. We had 12 people there and it was unanamous that the food was bad. The fish portions were extremely small and undercooked. Blackened fish was underseasoned. Sides were bland and had no seasoning. Asparagus was shriveled and flavorless.
I will not be back nor can I honestly recommend for anyone.
Food was wonderful. Service - nonexistent. Server would disappear for long periods of time and the issue was not just with our waiter. The table next to us, full of lovely old ladies, kept asking for bread - never received it. Another table across from us had their entire meal comped their service was so bad. Shame, could be a great place
The Grill was outstanding, Great food and service.
11:30 reservation, food was over cooked check arrived before we were done eating, not offered desert.
I have had better visits here.
Steak was over cooked
Mediocre pre-heated Lobster bisque, over-buttered Trout stuffed with lump crab didn't taste fresh. This restaurant isn't in the league of a Morton's or even a Capital Grille.
Service was really really good. The food was not as good as the prices would have you expect.
Our server was courteous and responsive. Our meal was very good. I would love to dine there more often but it is a little pricey since it is connected to the Galleria. Very intimate and quiet.
This was my husband's birthday and, of course, everyone at the restaurant was friendly and helpful. They made a special prime rib for my husband even though the "prime rib special" ended the week before. They also let me build my own pasta dish. The food was supurb and the service was awesome. AND, they supported our local no-kill animal shelter, Operation Kindness, by donating a gift certificate!!
Food quality so poor; in sharp contrast to the quality of service. Most bland calamari I’ve ever tasted. Saltiest tomato soup! I should have just combined them. Tempered only by the fabulous service
Food and service were excellent. Fish special was especially good
Love love LOVE this place😍😍 If you're looking for an unforgettable dinning experience, THIS is the place for you.
The best chef in Dallas! The best service and the best restaurant to have a business meal
I have been here so many times and always had the best meal and service. This time I set up a business meeting with some investors who had not been there before. Service was great, except that delivered the wrong steak to the table. They did make it right and it was all good. However, the food was not on point. No seasoning on the steak, desert pound cake was dry as a bone. I'm not sure what happened, but it was not the usual great fare. The martinis at the bar were awesome.
