Nordstrom Grill - The Mall at Green Hills Ratings and Reviews
Family birthday lunch. Tomatoes on the bruschetta were crunchy and hard, have had many times and never like that. Waitress did not check on us and we were out of drinks a few times. They were doing an event next to us so it was loud and we had made reservations should have been sat away from event.
Main menu was good. The dessert was horrible. The menu called for angel food cake with custard, whipping cream. And semi sweet chocolate drizzle with a sorbet on the sidem. We got short bread with sorbet and some fruits. When asked, they offered to bring whip cream and chocolate on the side. Which they did. There were three drops of custard! That's it. The manager came and gave a bunch of excuses and promised to talk to the chef the next day to provide a better description. We still were charged about 19 but for dessert.
Competent menu items. Nicely prepared. This restaurant isn't spectacular and only mildly remarkable. However, it's clean, neat, and the table service was perfect. The food was "very good" and perfectly presented. Our waiter was appropriately attentive and helpful. Our orders (somewhat off the menu) were translated perfectly into our desired dining.
Upon arrival, the host/hostess was absent, and a waitress recognized the need, but she was "not a people person".
Overall, we'll go back on some occasion, I'm sure.
This is a clean kid-friendly restaurant with good food. Great place for lunch, dinner or snacks. The appetizers are yummy and the portions on all entrees are great. The Salmon BLT, lobster mac & cheese, the salmon salad, and burger all very good. This is a great go-to w kiddos if you want something that seems nice but isn't stuffy. Plus, there is a decent booze list.
I loved this place when it was 6th and Pine. I am glad to see they didn't lose anything with the name change. The food was excellent and so was the service. Even the manager visited our table and brought us some samplings of another menu item because he felt we should at least try it. Definitely a refreshing change! I give this place 2 thumbs up!
A few weeks ago, I shared my concerns about several things, such as the small food portions. Subsequent to that experience, I followed up with a telephone conversation with the Grill manager, David Emerson. He was receptive and actually stated on that particular day the regular chef was not there and things were not as usual. My husband and I have returned twice since, and have been very pleased.
My husband, daughter and I went here for Fathers Day lunch and were extremely disappointed. We have frequented Nordstroms when it was called 6th and Pine
for years and were always pleased. However, when they changed their name and management this past January, it went downhill. The portion size of the salmon on the salad was very small and insulting. Also, the fries use to be served in a basket. Now, they are on a very small plate and maybe a dozen fries on the plate. Also, when the check came, it always had a little chocolate. Now, nothing but a very expensive lunch for a very small
amount. By the way, it was not crowed or even full. Apparently other customers had bad experiences as well. I will say the service staff were very friendly. They absolutely have no control in this matter.
Although Nordstrom Grill ( formerly 6th and Pine) is prominent in the store, one does not expect the food quality they serve. We regularly eat here or carry out and have never had a bad meal. Everything is fresh and well-prepared. The service is friendly and prompt. One of our favorites.
I think I preferred this place when it was Sixth and Pine. The prices seemed to be a little higher and some old favorites (like the sweet potato fries) were missing.
The place actually seemed a bit off the night that I ate there with a group of friends (a total of five of us). It took longer than usual (again, comparing to 6&P) to get our food and when we did receive our orders, a number of our sandwiches/entrees were a bit burned.
I still like the place, but overall, I think my enthusiasm has dimmed a bit.
When the restaurant started as 6th and Pine, it was outstanding with high quality food. Over time, the food quality deteriorated. We gave up on eating there. We recently heard about the name and menu change so we had high hopes so went back for another try. Not only had little changed in the resturant, but the food quality was even worse. Sad but unless we hear they are returning to high quality food, we will not be going back.
