Pittstown Inn has great food and service but the noise level is very bad and they do not need ntertainment as that only makes the noise worst as everyone has to raise their voices and that is just not good as we all ended up shouting at our party to be heard. Not the place for a quite romantic evening.
Everything was amazing - highly recommend The Grill at the Pittstown Inn.
Pittstown. Who knew? This place is really quite nice. The bar offered a fairly quiet place to sit and wait for friends. Live music was enjoyable. We sat outside. Not much traffic and really a very nice table. Felt surprisingly secluded because of surrounding plants. Food was very good. Service was attentive without being overly intrusive. It was our first time at this restaurant; it won't be our last.
This was our second time here and the food and service were great both times. Love the ambiance. We’ll definitely be back.
It was horrible. Food was tasteless, service was awful. Spoke to owner who took 10% off but charged for our tasteless burgers and soggy fries. Very disappointing. Not like it used to be
We really enjoyed eating on the outside patio in the rain...such a nice evening with friends!
Great neighborhood spot.
We recently moved to the area and found The PIttstown Inn. One of the best restaurants around! Excellent food, great people, and live music. You can’t ask for more!
Nice surprise! We hadn’t been to Pittstown Inn in several years, and we were very pleasantly surprised. The restaurant is lovely inside. There was tasteful music and the food was fabulous. Our server was wonderful as well.
Very friendly - excellent food. Good wine list. Have been here twice in as many months - rarely go to same place within 3 months time
A great find in Hunterdon County. A wonderful Indian flair to the menu. Lots of choices in a unique setting. The stone walls and open kitchen have a great ambiance. we have been regulars since Gary took over!
Highly recommend reservations!
The food, service and as ambiance was great! Loved the mixed greens and beet salad with a crispy goat cheese round. Ordered it with grilled shrimp. Yum!
We had a business dinner for a group of 6 at the Grill earlier this week and it was nicely done. Bartender and waiter were very helpful and professional. Varied food choices & all our selections were good, as was the wine. Neat old Inn, with a modern dining area. Guitar player in the bar area was a nice tough, not too loud. I would recommend the Grill for dinner and events.
We’ve lived in the area for a few years now and just tried this place. It was a wonderful surprise- my husband had the turkey burger and it was out of this world and cooked perfectly. They have a long list of cocktails that sounded really good too. The French onion soup was fantastic. Will definitely return!
It was our first time there and everything was great! The food, bar drinks and service was exceptional and we are so looking forward to our next visit there! Highly recommend The Grill at the Pittstown Inn!
We enjoyed a Friday night dinner out with friends with live music but felt the service was a bit overwhelmed. The food and drinks although good were a bit overpriced. We have enjoyed the lively bar scene here in the past more so than the sit down service. Will visit again.
As always, owner was helping out and made the occasion exceptional.
Great time. Great menu. Historic building. And service was excellent. Lynn is focused on her customers. Will go back.
The food was pretty good, the service was excellent. Staff was very attentive
Food was good, drinks are different and very good, service was very good. Would definitely recommend to others
Great service and dinner.
Very good food. A lot of empty tables on a Tuesday evening.
It was our second time dining here. It was wonderful. I can’t wait to go back.
Last time we were here, years ago, previous owner, the food was good but the service was terrible. I’m happy to report that now both are up to snuff!
We had a wonderful dining experience here on New Years Eve. We were a small group of 4, but enjoyed 3 courses each with drinks. Food was spectacular (Main Courses: Wild Boar Chops, Surf and Turf, Lemon Roasted Chicken, and the Pistachio crusted Salmon) and came out quickly / cooked to requested temps. The Restaurant itself is beautiful and rustic, but modern. There was live music which was a little loud, but it was NYE and time to celebrate, so we were not complaining. We will definitely be returning to the The Grill at The Pittstown Inn and Highly recommend it.
We went here on NYE, and we knew the menu ahead of time, so we were not surprised. There was a good variety of food available. I had the catch of the day, sea scallops, which was delicious. My husband had the boar, which he had never had, and he thoroughly enjoyed it. The portions are a good size. The specialty drinks seem to be martinis, which come in all flavors.
The servers are very attentive to refilling your water glass, and taking away your plates when you are done. Both times I have dined here, there has been someone playing the guitar, usually soft music. Looking forward to coming back here again for our next meal.
Average meal. Nothing special. Liked it much better with the old owners/chef. Didn’t care for any of the items we ordered and it was expensive.
IT'S A VERY COZY RESTAURANT, THE FOOD WAS GOOD, MY RAVIOLI WAS A BIT OVER COOKED BUT OVERALL EVERYTHING ELSE WAS DELICIOUS!
The food and staff was, as always, terrific. Great dining menu and great portions.
They were going to seat us at table 50. It’s right by the kitchen. There shouldn’t be a table 50. Another couple also asked not to be seated there.
Service was great. Staff are professional and courteous. Owner is always gracious.
The staff and food were exemplary.service is always pleasant.Jim, the bartender, is amazing.
Consistently very good. The service is friendly and attentive without being intrusive. Menu is excellent and the food and presentation are terrific. I travel worldwide regularly and eat in some of the best places in Paris, Zurich, Amsterdam etc. This is right up with the best of them.
This was our first and last time there. We were expecting a nice dinner, instead it felt like a TGIF.
Pretty, charming restaurant. My husband had a burger and thought it was good. I got the hanger steak, and while it was a nice cut, it desperately needed salt and pepper. I don't think the steak was seasoned at all. The vegetables were delicious. Burger was a reasonable price, but I do think overall that the entrees are overpriced. Most entrees are in the low $30's. Between drinks, apps and a meal, you're going to walk out of there with a decent bill. The vibe inside is more on the casual side, which I liked. But I can see how prices could turn some away, especially when unseasoned steak is being served.
The food was great appetizer through dessert. Everything was very fresh and delicious. But I will say the noise level made it very difficult to carry on a conversation.
I like the food. The menu change up looks good. Problem is you can’t understand the wait staff. The English is almost impossible to catch the details of the nightly specials. We tried to be polite and ask questions but the more we inquired the less we understood.
Every time we go it’s the same issue. The wait staff mumbles and does not pronounce the food items properly. Leaving us a little frustrated not understanding what possible choices are available. I suggest you write out the specials so guests can read for themselves. Helps for those whom do not have an ability to break thru the heavy accents from afar.
