Providing guests an exclusive view of the iconic Torrey Pines Golf Course, The Grill is a popular dining destination at The Lodge at Torrey Pines, one of Southern California’s most notable resorts. A favorite place for gathering with friends and family, The Grill invites locals and visitors to lounge beside five cozy fire pits, taste local craft beers beneath an artfully designed trellis and enjoy meals from the restaurant’s custom-built wood-burning suite. The latter serves as the foundation for nationally acclaimed Executive Chef Jeff Jackson’s slow-cooked, farm fresh menu - including the trademark Drugstore Burger, a true San Diego classic. Whether coming together for breakfast, lunch or dinner, The Grill’s welcoming ambiance and thoughtful team promise a memorable experience for guests and an ongoing dedication to local ingredients, sound craftsmanship and the creative California spirit.

Thought this evening might be a little chilly outside. However, the (many) heat lamps provide warmth. If the heaters are not enough for you, shawls are provided. The fires were lit for an after (or before) dinner drink. Beautiful spot.

Absolutely the best burger in town and that is continually a unanimous decision. Fresh, local ingredients used for most item and consistent quality. Nice view of the golf course and sunsets from the outdoor dining area.

Appetizers and drinks were good, entrees came out luke-warm

One person on crutches had to walk a long way. Table was by the door to the bar and was very drafty, cold, and noisy. Home made potato chips and dip were excellent but my tri tips were tough and potatoes were cold. Service was great.

I have been before and based on the service and food it was an easy choice to go back. Atmosphere was awesome as the PGA was getting ready for the tournament. So close to the putting green it was a great to have a cold beer and take in the atmosphere. The staff even moved my reservation for me so I could enjoy the view. I will be back the next time I will be in the area.

We enjoyed the fixed menu offered for Restaurant Week. The salmon appetizer was very good. This was followed tri-tip or baked salmon or some vegetable dish. Both the trip-tip and the salmon were excellent. Topped off with a pumpkin creme brulee. All of this during Restaurant Week for only $40. Wow, what a deal. If you have not been there before, the Grill is actually a little hard to find and is quite a walk from the Lodge's restaurant.

Lovely sunset dinner overlooking the fairway out to the ocean for the start of restaurant week. Service and value was excellent. We'll be back for a birthday dinner!

The hamburgers were outstanding and the service was fantastic! They were able to accomodate our child's peanut and egg allergy. We enjoyed sitting outside on the patio overlooking the beautiful golf course. Can't wait to go back!
