Waste of money, way too over priced. They dont even give you vegetables or any sides with your dish. And the food isnt even good. Dry and cheap ingredients.
Not good, food overpriced rack of lamb was rack of an aged sheep.
Wine list especially reds were outragiously priced at $40-$50 above what have paid in other ‘good’ restaurants and more than double store prices
Check for 4 people including tip was above $750 !!
Little wonder the restaurant was virtually empty
Service was ok but you know when you pay so much for wine at least someone should pour and would a pepper grinder kill them !
Perfect venue to celebrate our wedding anniversary!
The view was beautiful but overall it was a surprisingly quiet scene for a Friday night. The food was pretty good but way overpriced. The wine pour was noticeably on the lighter side. The staff were friendly and delivered great service.
We were there on a quiet Thursday and essentially had the restaurant to ourselves. Beautiful space, lovely views. Excellent food.
They gave complimentary champagne 👍🏼😍
the food was superb and the service unmatched. i would definitly go back and refer to all my friends.
We had a very nice dinner. The stand out for me was the peeky toe crab balls. The combination of fennel, mustard and other spices with an abundance of crab was delicious. We timed our reservations with sunset and we were not disappointed.
The special grilled octopus was delicious. Our server was very attentive and gave wonderful wine pairing suggestions with our dinner. My tuna was cooked perfectly and the sweet potato side was amazing. I will certainly visit again very soon!!
The service was impeccable and the food was delicious. It was dark when we got there so we didn’t get to see the view but my understanding is it’s beautiful. Highly recommend checking out this restaurant
We arrived on Valentines Day for lunch and had a lovely time. The food was creative and wine choices interesting, as were the house cocktails. Our server was attentive, yet gave us the space we desired on such an occasion. The decor showed attention to detail and provided a setting commensurate with the exceptional water view. Although a bit pricey, we felt it was certainly worth it and would go back for another special occasion in the future.
we found the staff very friendly and helpful. the food was excellent and a very sexy atmosphere will definitely come again.
We went for our 36th wedding anniversary.we had a lovely dinner and they provided us with a special dessert for our anniversary.
My partner and I had a fantastic new years eve dinner here. The food was superb and service was fantastic. I highly recommend
Although a bit pricey, worth every penny! The food was delicious!
The food was average, pricey, and not very professional. There were few places open for Christmas day in Newport but I'm sure we could have found a better option. Too bad, I'm sure they find location is their biggest advantage!
Everyone enjoyed the meal but we know the staff would have preferred to be somewhere else.
Music was loud - it was fine when the room filled up but with only a couple of tables seated, it was distracting. Server had to be asked three or four times to bring the bar manager out to help us with a wine question. She knew nothing about the wine list and when she did ask the wine manager for his recommendation, she couldn't remember it when she got back to the table. Sides came to the table after we were almost done with our meal - she fessed up to getting that wrong and comped them on our bill. It's a lovely room, the food was excellent (loved the fried okra in with the calamari!) but we'll probably give it a pass next Christmas Eve.
Another fantastic dinner at Forty 1 North! We both had the Filet Mignon which was delicious! We always return here when visiting the area because of the romantic atmosphere and great food.
We went for Thanksgiving dinner. Just the right amount of food
3 streaks were very under cooked
My wife and I had been to the grill before and loved it so we decided to invite friends to meet us there for a wonderful evening. We had a 7:15 reservation but got there a half hour early to enjoy the fireplace near the bar. My wife went to the bar to get a drink menu and was pretty much ignored. I went up and was able to get one and ordered drinks. Our friends arrived and I went back to the bar to order drinks for them. I ordered one but they did not have the other so I said I would be right back with the other drink order. When I cam back I was ignored for 10 minutes and when the gal finally came back it was 7:15 so we cancelled our order to be seated. I went to check in and was told the table would be ready in a minute. A half hour later we were finally seated. The dining room was so loud we could barely hear each other and we had a hard time hearing the waitress and she had a hard time hearing us. The noise was coming from one table with very loud young women. Most people in the restaurant were turning and staring at the loud table each time a loud roar would come from it. The bread came when we were finishing the appetizer course and desert came while some of us were still eating the entrees.
I was so disappointed in the management for not asking the table of women to be quieter. This is a relatively expensive restaurant in a beautiful hotel. I am not sure what changed since the last time we were there but the service, wait, and noise level were horrible.
It was a very nice evening and the highlight was the nice young man who valeted our car on a cold evening.
Upscale dining experience. All meals were delicious. Incredible atmosphere for a quiet dinner and conversation.
The ambiance is great. My daughter and I had wonderful food ina beautiful place. I live in Newport and plan to return. The bartender was very nice great coffee margarita but too expensive next time we will skip the cocktails and enjoy the food and the service as well as the beautiful location
I have been to many Newport restaurants, and the food here was definitely competing with the best....absolutely delicious! We will most certainly return!
Good food. Good portion size even with restaurant week!
Service was the highlight. The private room was very comfortable. The food was very good as well as the cocktails.
I would have liked the server to advise of the daily specials as she did to other customers.
Amazing review with lemon ricotta pancakes to die for. Seemed to be understaffed with only one server/bartender.
Had a wonderful dinner with friends as we watched a beautiful sunset over the harbor!
Food was several notches better than most in the area. Presentation, quality, flavor and inventiveness. Service was excellent without being overbearing. Ambiance was terrific. It is a top notch establishment
Great place. Food was awesome, good selection based on what we were looking for. Our server did a great job taking care of us.
Fantastic anniversary meal. Chef Terrence is a very talented and thoughtful chef. The steaks were better than any steakhouse and the seafood dishes with lobster amazing. The food was cooked to perfection and wine pairings fabulous. The staff was very attentive but not instrusive.
Food was delicious and perfectly prepared. Service was charming.
Picture perfect locale with cuisine to match. Loved my paleo breakfast, views and service. I would return...no complaints about the restaurant. Only issue was the hefty valet parking fee.
Place was noisy. No one was there. Manager blatantly refused to turn down music. Server was inappropriate with my wife. Kept calling her my lady. Though he seemed he did not want to leave another table.
Absolutely beautiful setting. Service was excellent as well as the food. You should know that they charge $20 for parking but at least they have parking.
