Staff was so kind. Food was absolutely amazing. We were celebrating our honeymoon and it was such a Romantic atmosphere.
The staff was nicely dressed for Halloween, but due to COVID, it was very slow. I would have expected a bit more attention to detail and courtesy from the staff for the amount of money I paid for an ala carte meal. I'd expect my server to be pleasant and offer up suggestions rather than, "any questions on the menu?" I'd expect fine dining care and training, that's all. Great view.
Wonderful experience. A chic and classy space. Service was spot on, the food was exceptional. Even at night, the views were beautiful. It was our anniversary and they sent out a dessert on the house for us to celebrate. We would absolutely return.
We had a great time visiting for a special birthday dinner. Service was agreeable. Food was excellent. Anna at the front desk went above and beyond to capture the memory with a photo shoot. We will return.
So disappointed. Paid a ton of money for so so food. Oysters were amazing but the service was terrible. The server didn’t even tell us her name. Overpriced luggage
Lobster thermidor and Rib eye were great! Service was attentive and the view is amazing.
Excellent food. The restaurant is outdoors with part of it only partially enclosed in plastic covering, so dress really warm. It's cold there!
Poor service very slow no bread at 6:30 was told it was baking you would think they would have had it made for enough People
The bar was dirty, and littered with at least 50 used glasses. Staff was not wearing masks over their nose. Waited 25 minutes for a server, no one ever came to our table. We left extremely disappointed after booking this a week in advance.
We came to celebrate my birthday near closing time on a Friday night, we had a reservation and the hostess was very sweet and seated us quickly. Due to the cold weather, most of their outdoor tables were inside within these tents that really take the magic away of eating outdoors near the bay. They got my order wrong and when the other waiter brought it, he gave us major attitude even though it was his mistake. Everyone’s food was absolutely incredible, other than what I ordered which seemed like it was cooked too quick because they were rushing to close and bring my food fast. The menu is very pricey, and with their current outdoor layout that takes away most of the view, I would say it’s not as much worth it to pay for, especially with a staff that doesn’t take charge of their mistakes! There’s definitely many other better dining options in Newport with a much friendlier staff (and views!)
Only outdoor seating was available. It’s a beautiful place and they’ve done a great job with the space heaters and glass partitions.
Sat outside and it felt safe and food was great
I was pretty surprised that 41 North had not planned better for cooler weather. We were brought to a table in around the bar area that had two openings creating a tunnel of cold air blasting through. they would not close the opening which was open to the docks as they said a party was going to be seated there. Two hours later, when we were leaving the party never materialized. Our food came out hot but was cold within a minute of being placed in front of us due to the wind whipping through that opening. How does such a sophisticated restaurant not consider this ? I won't be back until the issue is resolved. Our waiter Mateo was phenomenal and asked the manager to close the opening for us with no luck. No apology, nothing taken off the bill or a warming drink sent over. Shame on them.
It was a great place. Maybe a little loud but we were outside due to COVID. Food was excellent.
Wonderful anniversary dinner. Drew was our waitress, and made it extra special. Totally flexible with each request. Andrew the restaurant manager even found me my favorite bourbon as a nightcap. Highly recommend!
Every course was fantastic! The most tender calamari we’ve ever had, cavatelli like you would have in one of the best Italian restaurants, and fish lightly seasoned and grilled to perfection. Great service and atmosphere made for a perfect dinner experience.
Food was not good, service was incredibly slow and staff was not kind. Beautiful setting but plenty of other great restaurants in the area.

Waiters and waitresses were overwhelmed by amount of tables they were assigned.
Bus boys were not clearing table prior to next courses so some patrons were angry and yelling.

Food average but our server Scott was out of this world. He made the experience that much better. I would go back literally just for him. Scott a stand up guy and a true professional.
We have been to this restaurant a few times, but of course inside dining and it was amazing! This time we had a 7pm reservation. We were seated outside due to Covid-19, it took 20 mins for someone to come to us with a menu and didn’t ask us if we wanted a cocktail. 15 mins later, the waitress came over to ask for our drink order, by this time is was really dark. We couldn’t see the menu, thank goodness for cell phone flash lights. We were finally able to put our order in for apps and dinner. 30 mins later our apps came out, another 30 mins we had to ask where our salads were. They came out 20 mins later. They didn’t come to take our plates from apps or salads. Finally, a sweet older man came over to take our plates and give us new silverware. 45 mins later we had to ask again for our dinners. She told us the kitchen is really backed up, so 20 mins after that our dinner arrived. We couldn’t see what the dinner looked like and it was cold. I ordered a vegan dinner and it truly was not worth eating. This is long winded, I apologize but this restaurant was truly a disappointment all the way through. We know the chef can do a better job and we will try it one more time when there will be inside eating. Sorry but I give this restaurant 1/2 star.
Beautiful location. Some food was amazing - very fresh oysters, well prepared chops. Some food was a joke - pineapple cake was almost inedible - sort of like sweetened card board. Felt like a spot which makes it money on the location (harborside and beautiful) so have not really invested time in making consistently good food.
My fiancé and I went over the weekend for date night . Great drinks , food , and atmosphere.
Very nice dinner outdoors due to Covid, Tables well spaced and service attentive. Heaters were available when necessary. Food is excellent but prices a bit high.
Charcuterie board was $28 and not great.
Server was so nice but the food was absolutely disgusting. The only thing that tasted good was the cappuccino.
We ordered chicken, spaghetti, eggplant and salad. Everything was so salty and completely uneatable (we tried diluting it because we were starving and it was almost 10pm so no other options). We had to send the chicken back because it was so greasy and bland, so ordered another eggplant which arrived so much saltier than our original one. I felt too bad to send back the spaghetti and the other eggplant so just dealt with it, but would absolutely not come back.
It was during the week so it was quite - we liked the location and outside seating was nice. Food will not wow you but was good. martinis were expenseive $18 compared to everywhere else we were at $10.
The waitress was very unattentive. There was only outside seating still due to COVID even though other restaurants have been serving inside. Just didn't seem like anyone at the establishment cared.
This is my third visit to 41N this summer. Sadly, all three experiences have been the same.........very poor service (had to keep getting up to find the waitress) Arrived at 2:30pm ...finally got our meals at 4:00pm. And.....it wasn't even busy! Only three other tables were occupied. Again, this is not my first experience here this summer.
41N used to be my most favorite place in all of Newport. ALWAYS brought all of my lunch/dinner guests there. Now, I've been so embarrassed three times in a row......I will not be returning.
Hostess called and tried to talk us out of coming ~ it was a later reservation on a Sunday night ~ Covid has put everyone over the edge. They don’t want to be there ...They said heaters weren’t on and was going to be cold , last call at 9:45.... it was a bummer trying to make the most out of this Covid crap ~ they didn’t help with it at all ~ we had showed up and they had attitude and dirty looks ~~~ Covid sucks
My husband and I went for Sunday brunch. I Had a delicious lobster roll (loved the fresh dill and other herbs on top) and my husband very much enjoyed his crab cake benedict. We also shared the fried calamari and shishito peppers - very good, batter was light - and enjoyed a few (!) cocktails: a generously poured Aperol spritz, perfect French 75, and a really tasty blueberry Tom Collins. Service was great - attentive but relaxed - and the restaurant did a great job with adhering to COVID-19 safety measures without sacrificing ambience too much. We were spending the weekend in Newport as an escape from our home in NYC and agreed that Forty 1 North was our favorite spot. Highly recommend!
valet informed me it’s 20 to park on the lot when we arrived, spending 180 on a meal for 2 people and being charged 20 for parking is a bit ridiculous, my wife’s steak was severely under cooked and cold. Very unusually for this restaurant every other experience has been great
Service was slow. Our waiter was non existent for a while, we had to ask for water 3 times.
The food and service were great however my only complaint was that we requested an outdoor table when booking and they gave us a high top table a
Wonderful food and lovely atmosphere but server was quite cold in her attitude to us. There was also a woman at the next table talking very loudly on the phone with her phone on speaker for 15+ minutes...when we asked the server to have someone speak to the patron about the fact that she was disturbing other guests, we got no response.
Would recommend food and atmosphere but service should be much better at a place this pricey.
