I have dined here 15+ times and always give them the benefit of the doubt. This was the absolute worst! They had one bartender, no bar back or anyone else to serve the entire restaurant not just the bar. People waiting 20 minutes for a drink. We had to ask the hostess to tend bar so we could get a drink with our meal. And when the meal came after the absolutely rude service to get it, the fries on their ‘burger week’ menu were uncooked and barely thawed. This place has good food if you pick the right things on the menu. They will continue to get away with this level of accommodation b/c Newport is not a great food town.

We sat down excited to dine there. Saturday night 7:30
As we ordered the waitress told us they were out of half the items on the menu.
We did order and then she came back 5 minutes later and told us they were out of what we ordered as well.
A steak restaurant out of all their steaks. Ridiculous.
Terrible terrible. Eat somewhere else.
Management didn’t care at all. Said oops chef ordered incorrectly.

Just overall a terrible experience. Food overpriced and bland. Ordered a diet come it was flat. Ordered a $22 glass of champagne it must have been the bottom of the bottle it also had no bubbles. Not worth the time or money.

41n has struggled since its opening to fulfill its promise of a quality dining experience, impeccable service in an extraordinary setting. WELL, not anymore. They have achieved the promise of their potential. This local Newport resident couldn’t be happier. Our recent visits (including New Year’s Eve) have met and even surpassed our expectations for memorable dining experiences. Keep up the good work..we now plan on becoming regulars!!

Made reservations well in advanced and arrived ontime. Couldn’t believe they wanted the six of us to sit at a table in the bar area with lots of people walking back and forth around the table. Very disappointed we come every year on new years and we never got to the dining room..we won’t be coming here again for such a special occasion. We will go where we can sit in the restaurant dining room with the other patron of the restaurant

This was our first time at the restaurant and it was perfect for a date. Candle lit dinner, quiet and romantic. Beautiful view of the bridge in the background. Music was not too loud and the food was perfectly done to our requests.

Beautiful location on the Newport Harbor to enjoy a romantic or other special occasion. The food was excellent with great flavors and taste. The proportions were generous, but not overdone. Look for special offers. The night we were there we had a 50 percent off on the wine list. Many great selections of wine. The service was well done. Overall a very nice night of dining.

Our family has food allergies & the staff was very attentive to our needs. Often restaurant dining is difficult for us, but as we have a daughter at OCS who was allowed off base but not out of town for Thanksgiving, we had to come to Newport and have Thanksgiving dinner out. The food was delicious. Our younger daughter was even able to have dessert-a rare occurrence in her world. The entire experience was a delight. We'll be back for OCS graduation soon, and this is where we'll eat.

Was my girlfriends birthday and we had a nice weekend getaway in Newport. This was our last breakfast before shopping on the town. We had a nice water front view, service was great as we were one of the few ones here in the offseason. Food was cooked beautifully and presentation was great. Cannot wait to come back in the summer the outside deck looks amazing for brunch

Wonderful, WONDERFUL, WONDERFUL!!! 41N has arrived as THE PLACE to dine in Newport. They've been challenged by inconsistent and/or mediocre food and service in the past but this Newport resident is THRILLED to discover that they've finally put all the elements together to become our favorite place to dine in town. Can't wait for our next visit to this exquisite venue to enjoy another evening of fine dining. Well done - keep it up!!!..and see you soon.

For such an upscale venue, your service never delivers.
The server was dressed like she should be a cocktail waitress at the Foxy Lady, not at an upscale restaurant. Never was offered fresh pepper, dessert or coffee. (Up-Sell People!!) Having your staff go under the bar to get to it is pretty lame as well. Can't complain about the food or portion size- it was very good.
Get it together on the staff front. It's been like this since day one.

Good food, waitress was very nice, tables and decor need to be spiffed up a little or polished (many dings) and the attire worn by the staff should be more polished overall too for the price you pay to dine there.

Thanks to The Grill at Forty 1 North, our party of six had a fantastic brunch. It is surprisingly hard to find nice restaurants for an 11am brunch on a Sunday in Newport. I booked this because we had family coming in on a cruise that had a port stop in Newport. Due to the high winds we were slightly delayed, but I called ahead and they were very kind and accommodating.

My husband had the burger, and he raved about it. I had a simple salmon bagel combo, it was nice. All of our drinks were delicious and everyone enjoyed their time there.

When I'm spending $350 for a nice dinner out, I expect there to be free valet / free parking. Charging me $10 to park for the privilege of dining at your restaurant is an insult. At the very least, take my keys and validate my parking ticket upon the paying of my bill; I'll tip the valet at least $5-$10. I'm happy to pay top $ for good food & service (truly), but I don't think I'm alone when I say that I do NOT like to be nickel & dimed. If charging $10 parking is baked into your P&L as a restaurant in Newport, then you got problems or you're cheap! When the parking attendant ran up to me immediately upon my pulling into a parking place & asked for $10, I felt like "what kind of low class joint is this?!" The food & service were above par, but I won't go to Grill @ 41 N or recommend them until they fix their parking situation.

Valet parking cost $20 which is excessive given the area and off season and considering the parking lot was empty. Server was attentive, and meals were tasty but not exceptional. Overall a decent restaurant. Location is exceptional with stunning sunsets and harbor views.

A bunch of us went here for a bachelorette weekend for my best friend who’s getting married. Our party was 10 in total, but they didn’t have a problem seating us right by the water and even went above and beyond to make sure the umbrellas were moved over for us so we weren’t in the direct sun, it was really very kind. The food was great, as was the waitress — great scenery and environment. The bride-to-be very much enjoyed it. Would highly recommend!

Everything was great. We got there a bit early so we sat at the bar for a drink and the hostess came and seated us at our reservation time. Food was delicious. The only surprise was when we arrived and wanted to valet the car. Normally on Open Table when it says valet parking it’s complimentary. However people should be aware that there was a $20 fee for valet parking at this restaurant. Probably wouldn’t have changed our choice to valet but always nice to know before you get there.
