The Greenfield Restaurant Ratings and Reviews
This restaurant has fantastic food. We were seated by the piano and the Christmas tree...very beautiful. The owner came out and chatted with us like her knew us. We felt like family. This was one of the best dining experiences we have had so far. I can't wait to go back.
A little disappointed that we could not get a seat in the wine room as requested but the rest of the restaurant is very nice ,as well as quiet.
Onion soup was amazing, and so were the crabcakes. My husband got scallops and was very happy with them.
also had a really good Long Island Iced Tea
Would definetly recommend
We had arrived at the Hampton Inn during a snowstorm and were looking for a place to have dinner that was close by. We found The Greenfield on Yelp and realized that it was within walking distance! Not knowing what to expect, we walked through the gently falling snow and arrived at this cozy restaurant that was beautifully decorated for the holidays. We were escorted to our table where we enjoyed a really delicious meal in a quiet dining room -- exactly what we needed after a long day of driving. The four of us all enjoyed our food very much, served by a very capable server. It's a great place that we will definitely visit again if we are ever back in Lancaster.
This restaurant is one of our favorites. We like the bar/ porch area. Very nice piano music Friday evening. The menu is very nice, great wine list and a few good value cellar bottles. I had the special catch of the day stripped bass which was excellent. Friend had crab cakes, other two had salmon and scollops. All excellent. Restaurant was very busy so service was on the slow side but ok.
Had reservations for 630 after attending the Miracle of Christmas. We arrived by 6 and they sat us is a nice room. Service and food was excellent. We traveled 2.5 hours to see the show and the restaurant came highly recommended. When we are out in Lancaster again will definitely return. Had a great meal and wonderful time with great friends!
Overall the restaurant was very pleasant our server was the the most polite person in the restaurant. My potatoes were cold but my salmon was exceptable. My guest enjoyed her sandwich so no reason to return my potatoes.
The atmosphere was lovely and open.
Overpriced for what we received.
We visited for the first time, ate in bar area. Very cozy and warm. Music was not overpowering, it was easy to have a conversation. Good selection of appetizers, small plates, entrees and drinks. Food was cooked very well and delicious. Just a great place to sit, talk, drink and eat!
My wife and I went there for our anniversary. We enjoyed cocktails at the bar for an hour before our reservation. We were seated overlooking the bar room on the 2nd level, which we thought was pretty cool. Light piano music played in the bar room made it more romantic. Food and service were great. I definitely recommend the crab cakes.
The service was really great. Not hurried each course was timed perfectly. The food was really great. We had a wonderful time. We would like to try another dining room next time. We were in the main dining room and that was good. Some of the other dining areas looked interesting also. The music was fun perfect sound into the dining room. Look forward to returning soon.
Overall we had a nice time and the food was good. One thing I would not recommend this place for is children. We went for a family brunch for my fathers birthday based on reviews and a friends recommendation. The space is lovely. Our server was not very attentive and took a while to greet us and really didn't check in very often. Front of house staff was very nice. Back to the children: there is no real kids menu for brunch. When we asked the server said all they had were chicken fingers, hot dog and one other standard kids menu item. Really?! You can't do pancakes or french toast? So be it. There was a fancy waffle which one our kids had and the other chicken fingers. I just wanted to post this for anyone looking to bring kids under 10.
Our meal was delicious from start to finish. Appetizers included onion soup (authentically made), crab cocktail (generous serving) and pate toast. Entrees were prepared perfectly and the service was attentive without being overbearing. Highly recommend it. Atmosphere is touch dressier but attire can be more casual.
