The Greene House - Kierland Commons Ratings and Reviews
The Food was great. We had a larger group and every main course was delicious. I also thought it was a good value. The noise level in the restaurant was just unbearable. I am in my 50's so I thought it might just be my age but by 20 something age guests were all in agreement. If I ever did go back I would definitely sit on the patio where it was less noisy.
Very nice evening overall. Service was excellent. Food was great. Dessert was intriguing.....one of the best we have enjoyed (Dark Chocolate dipped bars). Only drawback was noise level was a bit more than desirable but minor issue with all the positive factors.
I was a little disappointed- service was a little slow but I know it was a busy night , au jus with the French dip was VERY salty. My husband enjoyed the pot pie and my daughter enjoyed the mushroom pasta. This was my first time there but think I would enjoy having lunch there as opposed to dinner. Will definitely return for lunch.
For a $100 dinner, I was expecting better service. Our server did the standard...got drink order, food order, then check. Never stopped by to ask how entrees were, never stopped by to ask if we wanted another drink.
Food lacked FLAVOR. It read like it would taste better than it actually did.
I've had way better service and food for half the price. It's not hard to find. You're really paying to people watch in a pretty dining room.
Great restaurant in Kierland Commons in Scottsdale. Went for dinner with my wife and a very good friend. Menu was great, ambiance lovely (sat outside on the patio. Server was very friendly and knowledgeable. Will definitely return on next trip to Scottsdale!
My friend and I met for lunch on a beautiful day in
We had excellent service but the salads were mediocre and not very substantial. Our Panne Cotta dessert was tasty but quite small. Usually Fox Restaurants offer more interesting and delicious meals. All in all, I was disappointed with the food.
Loved this restaurant - was in town for a meeting and this was a really good meal. We had the mussels as an appetizer and it was excellent - plenty to share, the sauce was amazing. I had the skirt steak and really liked it, good flavor and tender. Excellent vegetables too. I’d go back for sure -
A very disappointing experience. And we felt it was a big rip off. Unfortunate because I had eaten there once before ordering the same thing and it was good. We had the Asian Chicken Salad which was a joke. Needed a magnifying glass to find any chicken. Ridiculous! We will not eat there again and can not recommend it. Basically paid $32 for some cabbage. For shame!! On top of that they claimed we were a no show for our reservation!
The Greenhouse always delivers. The calamari and hummus appetizers were delicious. All four of us enjoyed our entrées, and our server and the kitchen were great with special dietary requests. We sat outside, where tables were partially enclosed and heaters were working - it was very comfortable, and it's much quieter outside making for easier conversation. Great evening!
Outstanding food, good drink list. A bit cozy. I was most impressed by service. We had requested outdoor patio seating, within 5 min it started raining. We immediately went to hostess, who told us 45 min for a table. We decided to wait at the bar, and were shocked to get a table within 10 min, which was fantastic. The manager actually came to apologize and speak to us after we sat down. We loved our apps, entrees, and drinks. A trendy spot with great food, just try to check the weather if using the otherwise lovely patio seating!
The pitch themselves as California Inspired Cuisine" which I don't really understand, but it is a casual/casual dressy restaurant with very well prepared food with an emphasis on healthy selections. There are plenty of seafood choices and salads- the Kale salad is excellent - but you can get more traditional items also. This is not a 5 star foodie place and it is not over the top, but it is imply excellent in the Sam Fox tradition. It is also a noisy restaurant, so it is not for those looking for a white table or intimate experience.
Lots of places to eat in Scottsdale, but this is a great place. You can't go wrong picking it -- great atmosphere, outstanding service (Michael), wonderful food and food selections, and reasonable prices for the kind of place it is. My friends were thrilled with my recommendation to eat here.
The service was extremely slow - took an hour to get our meal from the time we placed our order and the server did not offer us bread; however she did apologize for the wait. When I made the reservation I noted it was our anniversary. Not one person commented on it being our anniversary and we sat at a small table in the middle of the dining room. I’ve been here before, and that’s why we came back, but this was not a pleasant experience!
This is probably my favorite spot to eat right now. All of the food is delicious, and refreshing in flavor. When you walk in the ambience is very cozy and romantic. I recommend sitting on the patio during a nice evening, because the lights from the outside add to the feel.
For appetizer the warm Brie is the best! It's very comforting food to enjoy on a cool evening. For entrees my top three are the green goddess salad, French dip, and salmon! You will not regret eating here, the only reason I did not give it three stars is because sometimes waiter to customer ratio is off and you may be waiting for awhile when it comes to getting drinks and order taken.
We really enjoyed our meal. Sat on the "porch" which promptly produced just enough heat after the sun went down. The server was friendly, informed, and checked in on us throughout the meal. Food was really delicious -- I had the mushroom agnotti and it was very tasty with handmade pasta. We ordered green beans and they were so fresh tasting and not over-cooked. Our desserts were also fun and satisfying. Overall, a complaint-free experience: noteworthy for us!
